My now 24 years long love affair with SFA started with this song.
Probably one of their best songs, I've always loved this.
Best song about scientific figures and their immediate family imo.
Oh, I don't know. "Heisenberg's mother is a dirty slut" by Shed Seven was an instant classic
They made love and gave birth to a little German. What fucking genius lyrics. Best band of 1990s no question
I've always loved 'Marie Curie, was Polish born but French bred, HA, FRENCH BREAD!'
🧐 quite possibly one of the best bands ever (!)
Yeah, laughing my head off. - And I am German, so you see, we are very good natured and full of humour!
Best song on a phenomenal album
What other band would have the ingenuity and the bollocks to write a song about Albert Einstein's parents? SFA are weird and wonderful. Love em.
Er, Sparks? The song Talent Is Asset from the 1974 Kimono My House album is sang from the POV of Albert Einstein's parents.
Try also, ‘Quark, Strangeness & Charm’ by Hawkwind. A fantastic song about Albert Einstein’s love life.
@@daytriprecords I can't help but think that a new version of Franz Ferdinand and Sparks with Super Furry Animals and Sparks would be quite an interesting project
What a band, good times!
Saw them at their home coming gig in Cardiff for fuzzy logic and radiator tour. Also got to meet Gruff for a couple of photos
The band were awesome and exceeded expectations
little did Gruff know that his demand for artisan french bread at service stations would give us a greggs and coffey franchise at every petrol station.
Aged so well, still cool fashion wise and on point, criminally underrated band!
My favourite Welsh cultural icons, after Howard Marks and Anthony Hopkins.
lyrical genius
They're bloody geniuses.
A pop song about Einstein's parents, with an outro so discordant, Sonic Youth would blush.
SFA OK!
This lot pissed all over Oasis.....Wales finest.
@@HiImJoeyNot even close to the Manics and the Stereophonics, Not as good as the Alarm or Catatonia.
Sfa . Magic
Waaay ahead of their time. They even made the video 4:20 before that became a thing.
This song shaped my 21st birthday. Many fond memories. YASSSS.
Duane Hanson would have loved this video. Such a brilliant band. Completely original, utterly without borders or limits. A blue tank blasting out techno. None like them.
Marie Curie was Polish born but French bred...HA! FRENCH BREAD!
unbelievably good
Love love love this song.
Loving in 2019
I like this 👌
Streets ahead of their peers!
Beautiful song

Marie Sklodowska
What a fucking band 😍
Awesome tune.
Hermann Loves Pauline, and Pauline loves Hermann
They made love and gave birth, to a little German
They called him MC squared, cos he raps like no other
An asthma sufferer, like Ernesto Guevara
Too much Monte Kristo number four
(Her and I believe)
Pass the ventolin I need some more
(They had more)
We have ways of making you think
(To do)
We have ways of making you think
(Than simple balancing)
We have ways of making you think
(Two point four family)
We have ways of making you think
(Sanity)
We have ways of making you think
(Personality, a ha ha)
They told me over a drink
They never noticed him at school
They tell me he kept himself to himself
He used to sit and stare up at the ceiling
Hermann loves Pauline
They never noticed him at school
They tell me he suffered poor health
He used to vacantly stare out the window, feeling under
Why do you do
What they tell you?
Marie Curie was Polish born, but French bred
Ha French bread
Of course she ended up dead from radiation
Slow invisible suffocation
Down the twenty- four hour garage, or any service station
I lead my life in a quest for information
Since surrounded by pies and books
Middle-aged drivers and deranged cooks ah ah a
They never noticed her at school
They tell me she kept to herself
She used to sit and stare up at the ceiling
Hermann loves Pauline
They never noticed her at school
They tell me, she suffered poor health
She used to vacantly stare out the window, feeling under
Why do you do
What they tell you?
They never noticed her at school
They tell me she kept herself to herself
She used to sit and stare up at the ceiling
Hermann loves Pauline
They never noticed him at school
They tell me he suffered poor health
He used to vacantly stare out the window, feeling under
My friend Peter Griffiths loves this number too, I know he does even though he would deny his true love of it :(
retroactively facepalming myself in 2004 for loving this song and being like "wow those nonsense lyrics sure are nutty, from a band with a zany name!"
gruff cool as fuck!! what a band blew me away live
Magor services….
The beach boys in a seadie motorway services
Einstein's parents
The original mannequin challenge.
такая тупая песня, но мне так нравится мотив )
disappointed with Gruff - don't freak a chap releasing - he effed up
Motorway food is the worst in the world...you've never eaten food like you've eaten on the Motorway....Motorway food is the worst in the world...
Go to leeds Skelton lake, just built a services where it cost £20 minimum to get fed. Nando's, pret a minging, yo sushi, the lot. F society
tune/////////////////////////////lol just changed it too 1k(that's BS) for a band of this quality!......🏴☠
MTV's "Alternative nation" introduced me to a lot of cool bands, SFA being one of them.
1997 what a cool year.
