- Running this category again since there is an upcoming community tournament happening that should start mid February. This run is muted to allow myself to focus better, but I do say a few things at the end cause chat insisted me to say something.

Q: Do you play on a controller or a keyboard?
A: Keyboard
Q: Why do you open your inventory while falling?
A: Increases falling speed + Removes hardfalls.
Q: Weren't inventory drops removed??
A: This is patch 1.2.2.1
Q: Why is the game in Chinese?
A: Faster text scroll + Less letters in general, saves a good amount of time.
Q: Why are there 2 timers?
A: The upper one is for time without game loading times (loadless), lower one is real time (RTA).

One single Shaw on hornet 2. Exceptional rng I must say
20:55 probably my favorite moment of the run. I didn't know that this is possible to regain soul using shade soul during soul master fight.
Once time I dashed to fast and end up fighting Broken Vessel when my shade (and my whole saving) is waiting me before the gate. In the middle of a desperate fight I realized that my Shade Soul actually pass through the wall and killed my Shade outside, a lifetime save.
I think the shade soul hit the soul containers on the other side of the gate.

Is that a new Soul Master tech in second phase? Getting more hits in by wall jumping above him? Also clean wallcling storage on some of those lever doors!
Yeah, the soul master strat is pretty new, allows you to kill him in 3 dives if done properly

Hold up, how did you go right threw the laser coming from the pink crystal bugs at around 21:30 seconds? Dope tech, but I seriously need to know! Keep if the great work.
There is a really small gap between the crawler's hitbox and the lazer beam's hitbox that the knight can go through
I tried to do some runs playing on keyboard with default settings but man, I don't know why I can't get used to it, my reflexes are just poor

Well, going through the most updated runs on the leaderboards is probably the best way to go since there is no up to date guide. If you have questions about anything you can ask people in HK's discord server, you can find the links in the description
That skip at 28:50 abouts... Is that only possible on an older patch?
I don't understand something, why before Hornet 2 you don't rest on King Station bench and then menu-warp to it after getting King's Brand? Why do you return there on foot, if you rest in Hallownest immediately after using the stag anyway?
King's brand sets a hardsave in kingdom's edge, trying to menu warp would just put you at the entrance to hornet 2

So some of these abilities are specific. Why is shaman stone an ability but not other charms?Why is the golden husk and and King's station an ability?
Oh, not every split in the run is considered an ability, a lot of those are just comfortable spots to split on.
Shaman stone is great for bosses, gorgeous husk gives a ton of essential geo, king's station is just a useful stag station to have in the run.

Hey fireb0rn. Suggestion - do an NG+ run. Start with all abilities, all charms, all notches, no geo. Then do a speedrun.
NG+ runs are popular. HK has never had a NG+ run. You should start.
