A place where you can cross a lagoon that you will never forget. A place where you can stay and eat in five star luxury or get away from it all in a home stay over water. A place that embraces the future but still holds on to the past and it’s traditional culture.
The Solomon Islands, Islands adrift in time, A place time passed by… however you describe the Solomons the Solomons are so Solomons so different.
The people of the Solomon islands are the only people on Earth who have evolved blonde hair entirely on their own without any European influence. Humans are so cool.
Solomon islands are so beautiful and the people are too this is a place black people in the us should consider visiting also

Why just black ppl do you suggest should visit.. You need to understand that there are many white ppl living there and they are loved and treated no diffrent to anyother..

I'm from Solomon Islands but I never been to some of the places in the scene, Solomon Islands is a Islands made up of scattered Islands you people should go around to other places you will discover good places for instance lake tegano, the largest lake in the Pacific❤️❤️❤️

Soon I will go to the island of Solomon for 4 days and we will land in Munda and we will have to take the next fly in Honiara, our idea is to travel to different places approaching Honiara
Someone can share information about things to do, what places to visit, I need the ferries (timetable) only I found price and where to sleep.

is Solomon island expensive? how long can I live there with $1000 USD, and what language do they speak. Also is it hot there?
The Solomons is not expensive at all. It all depends on where you stay. My mom and I just came back from staying in Honiara for 15 days. We stayed at St Agnes Guest House near the central market and it was about $40/person a night for both of us. Our room had a private bathroom and we shared a kitchen with other guests. We bought our food from the market and stores nearby and cooked our meals everyday which saved us a lot of money. Traveling by bus is the cheapest means of transportation. If you are smart about where you stay and what you do, $1000 can get you by for 2-3 weeks. I hope this helps.
They speak around 120 languages; 80 natives, 40 dialects. But English is the official language, and pidgin (a trade & transitional language).
Carol M Thanks, might it be possible with market food and more basic accomodation to live 4 weeks on 1000. How expensive are boats, to reach other islands (ferries)? How safe did u feel, especially in the evening?
Ken Li this place is not cheap if you want the comforts of the Western world. $1000 usd will not go far. but it really depends on your accommodation and what you want to do. Travel is very expensive and not very efficient, accommodation in basic and very poor service with a huge price tag. But with all that this place is magic. Just get out from Honiara. And you must bring an adventuress attitude.
