- My wife and I were coming home from the grocery store when we spotted a bald eagle sitting in the middle of the road. As I stopped to see it, my wife doesn’t even hesitate and gets out of the vehicle to help it in the pouring rain. Apparently, it had been hit by a vehicle and was stunned. She tried moving it off to the side of road but it wouldn’t budge. Eventually, she took her coat off and wrapped it around the eagle, picking it up and moving it off the road. Just a few minutes after the video stopped, the eagle flew off.

What I love about this lady is she didn't take out her phone to record this poor creature. She just reacted like a caring mom. Thank you❤

Really hope you called a vet to come out. This bird needed help and was definitely asking. If that Eagle was ok...he would not have let you move him let alone get near him. Thank you for getting him off of the road, just praying you called a vet❤

This is exactly what I was hoping she would do. I applaud her in her efforts to protect the eagle but I would have called wildlife rescue as it may need some xrays.

When I saw a bald eagle, the symbol of the American flag, wounded and stuck on the road, I was impressed by the way a woman tried to rescue it. Great courage and compassion! There is nothing but respect! God bless this lady and the bald eagle!
What's there impress or respect when bald eagle was seeking help from human for vet only to get it relocate instead? No wonder people don't respect American anymore

Thank you for getting him out of the street. He probably needed to go to a rescue/vet to be checked out. Just because it flew off doesn't mean internal injuries weren't present.
Animal control was called it was apparent something was wrong with it. The eagle few away before they arrived.
It flying away wasn't on video
Still it should have went to be checked as much time wasted by people

@Mila La no it would have sat still its in shock probly got hit by car or truck they go down to road to get road kill and this happens to them as well .the shock is what kills them even if they fly away.the wildlife tracks the bird from where it was hurt and after care they release it back to same area.sometimes they look to see if it has a nest of eaglets or eggs.but when even under nutrition and dehydrated even cold will cause them not to fly..needing help then release same area. I have saved many animals

That eagle knew it was getting help - it made no move at defending itself with those lethal claws.
Animals are a gift to this earth. We need to always remember that, like this woman and her companions did. ❤
This precious woman did exactly the right thing when she figured out the safest way to help the eagle get out of traffic until an official could arrive could only be done with her coat, a towel or a blanket. Props to all who stopped and helped.
The eagle definitely needed help, exampled by the mere fact that they got within 20’/feet of to it, much less 5’ or less!!!
I hope it was something minor so it would want to let it be helped and would recover and so it could recover quickly!!!

I'm getting to the point where the "news" is starting to give me a mental toll. I know fkd up things happen everday, but the media used to at least mix in some good news. Now it's just straight horror everyday to the point where if I even focused on one single story and tried to figure it out, in full, I'd lose my mind.

Отдыхает, в дождь не поохотишься.
Птица не агрессивная и такие осторожности в её "изгнании" с дороги совершенно излишни.
Можно было сразу спокойно накрыть курткой и перенести.
У меня был случай, правда не с орланом а с канюком. Накрыл курткой, посадил в корзину и принёс на дачу. Посидел на заборе несколько часов и улетел.
Разница только в весе птичек.

I can't help but wonder if that bird was sent to protect somebody,maybe from a car accident ( or wreck) down the road. I thank God for all the ways he saves us, in ways we know of , and ways we do not.

I only saw this today and it's really moving to see these kind people rescue the eagle from more insuries by traffic. I hope a vet came for more help! The bird was defenately not in good shape!

so how do we know, someone wasn’t notified ? The lady asked them to stop filming & the recording stopped. I’m sure they wouldn’t just leave it there. Veterinarians are always called , & they contact wild life & rescue services.
They follow up from there.

These people are so compassionate no one is beeping or calling out hysterically that traffic is held up they are all genuinely concerned for the Eagle 💗, I lived in Fall River, Massachusetts during the covid pandemic and saw that someone had run down an Eagle in the street. I have a photo of it, I was in shock for days I began to mistrust everyone in the town, as I was not originally from there because who does shit like that...👹

@@dp31m5Those laws still don't deter aholes from breaking them. It's also illegal to hit ducks and geese, but I still see plenty of self centered jerks refuse to stop for geese crossing or ducks. Our local police department started escorting the fowl across the roads because people are too busy and impatient to wait 5 minutes.

@@hostileactual7655 eagles are not stupid, it can happen that flying lower than it can hurt, or die but that doesn't mean it's stupid. Lots of humans do it in accidents. Study before you say it's stupid.

Essa águia é um animal protegido por lei lá, eles não podem simplesmente pegar ele e colocar em um carro para levar para um veterinário. Pegar é até alimentar essa águia lá pode dar prisão ou uma grande multa

Huh?! That’s some rescue. It’s hurt. Throw your jacket over it, covering the eyes, hold it in the car & take it a wildlife rehab or put it in a cage & take it later. Getting it off the road doesn’t help it in the end.
