    I think Dylan is not getting enough of what he deserves! He makes 2 or 3 vids every week. He puts so much effort in and he only has 41,500 subscribers! He should have at least 500,000 subscribers.

      @Sky Honkler "The golden age" was golden just because a plane ticket was incredibly expensive. You can still get the same treatment today by flying on semi-private jets - no check in, no security, etc - and the planes are a lot safer, quieter, and faster.

    I have never flown Ryanair but my brother has and says it's a good budget airline for relatively quick hops. And 18.99 total for a flight is a steal. I've pointed this out in other places but I like that Ryanair puts their emergency directions/instructions on the backs of the seats, since they don't have IFE.

      @TheRenaissanceman65 I believe that you do have a reserved seat, just you don't get to choose it. I also believe that they have an algorithm that will split up groups or families flying together as so to force them to upgrade and pay for seat selection.

    • @77smp
      @77smp Před 3 lety +2

      @TheRenaissanceman65 I may be wrong but I believe that seats on Ryanair didn't used to be allocated hence the benefit of priority boarding. However seats are now specifically allocated prior to boarding.

    • @77smp
      @77smp Před 3 lety +3

      @TheRenaissanceman65No, a seat is allocated prior to boarding without extra charge but you don't get to choose it.

    • @77smp
      @77smp Před 3 lety +2

      @TheRenaissanceman65 That's not correct. You get given a specific seat number on your boarding pass regardless if you have paid extra. The way they increase the uptake of seat selection is by using the algorithm to split groups plus offer increased carry on luggage. Nobody walks on a Ryanair flight without already knowing where they are sitting. They go to great lengths to promote the benefits of paid seat selection based on the previous reasons plus avoiding a middle seat. If you don't believe me, ask Ryanair or anyone who has flown with them in the last few years.

    • @77smp
      @77smp Před 3 lety +1

      @TheRenaissanceman65 Plus the only benefit now of being at the front of the queue is to ensure that you have a better chance to get overhead storage. You may or may not be aware that the resizing of Ryanair carry on luggage must now be able to fit under the seat. From my experience this is not often an issue. But if your bag is too big or you have an extra bag then a hefty charge may be forthcoming.

  • @lordlucan7655

    low cost flights can be good if you plan everything with precision . I use Ryanair for flights to UK if just myself and very little baggage . I wouldn’t expect luxury at the low prices and just want to get somewhere as cheap as possible . This being said the prices can soon increase well past the advertised cost , with baggage fees etc often being expensive if left last minute . The only other thing i find with low cost travel is you need to be flexible about dates out and return etc as well as some flights being very early might entail a night in hotel or make a 5 day trip a 3 and a half days one ... and careful planning pre and post airport for onbound travel costs needs looking at .. for example if a flight is 9 pounds but goes at 6 am , i need to be at the airport 04 h 30 ish .. maybe 50 pounds for taxi or hotel plus food and drinks , then taxi other side can push a 9 pounds flight to a couple of hundred quid .
    This means i could have maybe got a midday KLM flight or something similar for less money overall and have the luxury of normal sleep hours ... experience says cheap online is never cheap in the wallet .
    All in all , Ryanair have never given me a reason to complain . If i were to pay 10 pounds for a taxi home , i wouldn’t think a chauffeur driven mercedes with driver in a suit and tie would come rolling up to meet me .... same thing for the flights .

Stansted looks pretty much the same as it did when I went through it. I was expecting a jetway from the gate to the aircraft, but like you, I had to walk downstairs and onto the tarmac. The only small problem with my flight on Ryanair was that it seemed as if many of the passengers on the flight were talkative and carrying on conversations throughout the cabin. I had to put on some earbuds to flush out all the voices around me. Also at the time, rumor was out that Ryanair was planning to charge for the use of the toilets. I initially paid 15 quid for my flight, but because I didn't know any better at the time, I had a checked bag that brought my ticket price up. Lol. Lesson learned to travel lighter.

It (ofcourse) turned out negative, but my Ryanair flight was 5-10 minutes from leaving. i ran without my belt, holding 3 bags, one of which was open, through the whole airport. it was insane. luckily i made it! last person to board too!

Still, for £18.99 including seat selection it would be churlish to complain about it! Oh, and believe me, that was by no means busy for Stansted.
