I use my classic 5.5 every day to listen to music and podcasts at the gym, riding bike and at work. It's fantastic. Doesn't use my phone battery and no interrupting from the phone notifications etc.
I recenty found a minty 32gb iPod touch (with beltclip case) in a free box by the side of the road. I wiped it and filled it up with music for my 13 year old (using CopyTrans for Windows). She's lovin' it. Apparently it was the first gen Touch to support bluetooth headsets too, which was fortuitous since she just got a wireless Beats headset for Christmas.
Not so long ago I got last gen Shuffle. Perfect thing for running/riding.
You can't break the screen if there's no screen =)
Thank you, for this excellent post. Since 2014, I have been using a classic iPod 5th generation and for listening to music with headphones it is, just the best. Daily, I use mine on walks, driving in my automobile (it has a special classic iPod port), and when on my home computer (smile...smile).
One thing you should save/buy is a mic that can clip onto your shirt or just a regular mic! I don't think they're that expensive probably like 30 bucks. But it sure would make it better
Yeah, in this video I was talking quietly because it was kind of late when I filmed it. I usually talk louder.
One thing is the 6th gen iPod you can’t flash mod more than 128 gigabytes, you would want a 7th gen if you want to put 256 or more gigabytes
