  • Small corrections:
    I realize while reviewing the video that the fuel pump does still prime with the blank key.
    The data codes are different.
    Taking you through the steps of testing the Zed-Bull Mini in cloning a T5 transponder key for a 2004 Ducati 749S. The keys that came with the bike are not original, they are cloned T5 keys themselves, but I wanted to see if this programmer would work in the first place. There can be found online through eBay and AliExpress. I purchased mine for about $30 on eBay.
    The use of the device itself is pretty simple for cloning, I have not used any other features.
    Option 2 for Copy Transponder.
    Put working key in and press "R" for "Read"
    The device will give the transponder code and the option to write
    Put the key to be cloned in and press "W" for "write"
    and that's it!

    One decent clear video on the Zed-Bull amidst a sea of poor ones. Thanks for the life raft!

    Worked perfect for me too, on my 2008 Ducati 848 Superbike.
    I bought the same Mini Zed Bull off eBay for $35, and it was just as quick and easy as your video shows.
    I should say, thank you, because your video is what gave me the information I needed to program my Ducati key, when absolutely NO locksmith would even discuss cloning a “Ducati” key. So, Thank you!!!

    I just made copies of my original Ducati transponder keys, this works. I had to pull the IMMO codes from the Amtel 24C16 chip from the dash to enter another used Ducati transponder to the the Dash and then make copies but the Zedbull did work making copies from Original Ducati Keys to Amazon blanks(which I had cut to match by a locksmith)

    I love it!Thanks for testing I will save this rather than hiring a locksmith. Which is very expensive when compared.

    Hi, I have a hypermotard 1100 evo and the previous owner lost the code card, is it possible to read the immo pin on the code card for those who lost it from the key with the zedbull reader?

    One last question, I swear :D
    What does an original 'red key' view as on the Zed-Bull? I'm not sure on which models had them, but my S2R1000 did.
    You reckon this could be used to make one if it's missing, or copy one if you still have it?
    I don't have mine, hence all this fun.. I know places charge a lot to make a new red key.

      @pittmeister  Před 3 lety +1

      I honestly don't know. I haven't owned a Ducati that still had it's red key or still used them. Could be worth a try and an update if it does work!

    I lost one of my keys for my 2014 Ducati Monster 796. I looked all over to get it replaced, no one could do it, not even the dealer who said it was impossible without the 5-digit code. I bought my Ducati from that very dealer, they never gave me a card with a 5-digit code. You're supposed to get that card and two black keys, I just got the keys. The usual way to get it replaced is buy a blank key from Ducati for $90, then have a locksmith laser-cut the key (another $40-$50), then you can (have Ducati or do it yourself) program the newly laser cut key with the bike using the 5-digit code on the card. Without that card you're basically SOL. Without any keys or card, you need to replace the entire gauge panel, ignition, etc. - $2000-$3000!!
    There is another way, it is called the Ducati Key Clone, a knowledgable locksmith can use the remaining key you have to duplicate another functional key (laser-cut and programmed). Only one locksmith in Phoenix area can do it - ALCATRAZ LOCKSMITH (602) 677-5045 ask for Todd Hagan. It took him 10 minutes - fully functional key at about $100. He can even do it w/o any keys, but it would be considerably more expensive, but not the $2000+ Ducati price.

      @pittmeister  Před 3 lety

      That's good information Pablo. I have successfully cloned a laser cut Ducati key for a 2010 Streetfighter S with this tool too. Since this video I've also cloned a 2007 1098 key and 2010 848 key and all have worked perfectly. I purchased the key blanks for $25 on amazon and my local locksmith will copy a lazer cut key for just $30 or a standard key for just $1 a side. This way I don't have to mail my key away and still save some money!

      @@pittmeister That's awesome - good to know, are you in Phoenix? I know there is another guy in Duluth, GA - they know each other.. I just did not want to send away my only remaining functioning key, so this guy is specific to the Phoenix area only.

      @@chittypoofs I'm in Texas. I've always done my own work on my bikes and wanted to try this out to get even more independence from the dealers. You never know what you are going to get sometimes so I'm quite pleased that this actually works!

    if thta zedbull is an original tool from turkey.do not sell in a few years this tool will become like a clasic db5 . they dont make them but keep it then in 2025 put for sale, this tool was the gateway to cloning id46, no tool on the market had this option, i made so much money in 2008 programming RENAULT megane 2 cards, dealer was asking 1000usd, i was doing it for 600usd and with 400 percent profit. even the dealer stat sending the cars to my place,i could do it in 3 minns programming with a nucard as deler always has to wait 2 weeks for the new vards to arrive as they had to b made VINcoded. RESPECT IEA.

    Don't suppose you know what a transponder key looks like to the Zed-Bull when it's blank?
    The blank transponder key I bought looks like it's already been written to, but it's my only and first time using, so I don't actually know what a blank key reads as, if anything..
    Either way it won't copy my old T5 to the new T5 :/ It says no transponder while trying to write after copying from the original. Again, reads as having data on it though.
    Buying another supposed blank to try again, but wondered if you might be able to help with that knowledge?

    • @pittmeister
      @pittmeister  Před 3 lety +2

      It should read it with something like all 0's for the code.

      @@pittmeister Yeah.. The eBay guy isn't being nice about returning it either. I got some line about having a dealership erase it for me. :/
      Looks like I'm going to need a new one.
      I also bought one that was blank with no transponder. It says 'no transponder if you try to read it'. The supposed blank with transponder I bought brings up the code line.
      Found one on Amazon with free returns at least, so I'll see what the difference is on Saturday when it arrives.
      *edit* Actually maybe I just needed to buy the individual T5 chip and swap it out with the used one. Seems I've got me too many spares suddenly :D
