Very true, I think that scene and it's juxtaposition, was meant to hit the viewer in exactly this manner. Life without parents, especially a father ( in patriarchal societies) can be very traumatic and unforgiving. May He keep all children, especially daughters protected and strong.
Watching this again after two years. This goes deep down in heart. Literally the first ever heartbreaks happen in families in most of the Pakistani society. Related ones hurt you the most.

It is not doing great job. It had always been doing great job. I am from Nepal and 40 years old. Craze and respect for Pakistani drama in my country was the same 30 years ago. I remember how my parents loved Pakistani dramas back then too. I still remember the soulful music back then when my parents used to watch Pakistani dramas. They waited desperately for every new episode to be aired by my country's national television. Now that I have grown and watch Pakistani dramas on youtube, I have come to realize why they loved Pakistani dramas so much.
