5 times Melanie Cavill was a shitty person

#MelanieCavill is one of the best female characters I have seen in a long time. She's done plenty of shitty things and didn't get away with it. She can have emotions and act like a sensible human being. They better not kill her off again in season 4. Since it's the last season of #Snowpiercer, I expect the final season to be epic.

I wonder if its worth it for Snowpiercer to go back to Freemont Junction and collect the 7 cars they dropped , at this point the people in them will be dead already and they can simply host a funeral for them and then dump them , i imagine an ending for season 4 where Wilford comes back and they give him his train back , he and his Wilfordites go in the great beyond with Snowpiercer back to as many cars didnt get destroyed and they ride off into the sunset as we see Snowpiercer for one last time as the series ends with Leyton and they rest of the people on the train living outside with no freeze to kill them

Shi**y doesn't begin to cover Melanie's actions. I would say "inhuman monster" was closer.
She kept 400 people in conditions perhaps worse then any human has ever lived in for 7 years, maintained a brutal dictatorship and deliberately maintained a rigid caste system for no good reason.
I know she justified it by saying Wilford built the train to work like this and she had to keep it like that to keep it running and avoid anarchy. But there is no doubt in my mind that it was possible to change the train all along, Melanie was just too scared to try for fear of breaking the train.
Snowpiercer was an abomination and an insult to decency and humanity and Melanie should be locked up or suffering constant punishment for her crimes against humanity!

Unfortunately Melanie is a realistic depiction of humanity. Every single society that has ever existed has raided, lied, pillaged, stolen, murdered, enslaved and destroyed another society. Humans are an asshole species, and Melanie doesn’t pretend that she’s train Jesus like Andre Layton, who believes they are morally superior despite during shitty things as well.

@@Frostrider I resent that. Yes human civilizations have done these things to each other throughout history. BUT it hasn't been all these things all the time. There are examples of humanity being better then that even in ancient times. And when societies have done these things, their own people have objected.
British citizens protested WW1, German citizens worked against the 3rd Reich.
Ever read War of the Worlds? It's a critique by H.G. Wells against the British Empire, his own nation.
And Frankly have you not noticed what been happening these last 3 years?
Hollywood's been saying for decades that if a disaster struck the planet, people would be at their worst. Then one did, Covid, and we had people applauding hospital staff in the streets, doing crazy things to keep everyone's spirits up, I tried to volunteer at a local hospital but they said they had so many volunteers they didn't need any more.
War has been declared on Ukraine and my own country, The UK, has been suppling them to fight off Russia even though we have no stake in that conflict. There even Russians who think this war is unjust.
Also Layton never acted like train Jesus. Yes they killed people but it's not as if they could have voted or protested their way out of the tail. Yes some people were hurt and killed along they way but that is the nature of war and frankly I have no sympathy for those Snowpiercer stormtroopers.
And Layton IS morally superior, because after the revolution, it would have been easy to throw Melanie, Ruth and the 1st class into the tail and lock them up as they had been. But instead Layton declared that there would be no vengeance by the tail upon the first class.
Even Melanie herself said "I did everything wrong" when she ran their world and leaving love out of Snowpericer's civilization was a mistake.
