Can y’all do a rematch of these two cars with different drivers? This whole thing was a mess. They both short shifted almost every single time. This was frustrating to watch…
Lexus has always been an inch behind the competition due to the fact that basically all their engines are NA. Which by all means is a great trade off for a better daily driver, reliability, and longevity. But if Lexus ever went forced induction with ANY of their current engines they would take the car scene by storm.
They have. The 3.4T (or 3.5T) they're using in the LS500 is a beast. Not sure if it'll trickle down to other RWD models but I'm guessing it will especially if there's a new gen IS or RC.
Its true. Buddy of mine just made 750whp with his supercharged RCF. Not the craziest numbers but no one expects a newer gen Lexus to put it down like that.
I also have a buddy who has the street kit supercharger from RR Racing on his IS F. It is stage "0" (their lowest offering for SC), pushing 620-630 HP on pump fuel and he is beating hellcats left and right. They have a stage 4 kit now which is pushing 750 WHP (850 crank) on stock internals and transmission. The potential is insane!
Your vids are amazing but those were some of the poorest manual shifts ever. Like kinda annoying to watch lol…. And the RCF dude seemed to shift from like 5th to 8th gear within a few seconds in one of the races.
@@victorkenarsy3024 many people. Considering 100k is nothing and one with that mileage can probably be had for a good deal. RCF will last for 300k easy.
Dude in the Rc-F was basically driving like Ai on a racing video game. Early shifts, starting at the different times, etc. Probably would be the same result but at least we'd get a more solid visual.
Something's off with the RCF's transmission. Seems like it doesn't want to fully rev out, especially considering it's a NA V8 and in Sport/+ mode. Or is the driver deliberately doing that? Then on the last run that was supposed to be in Auto, you can hear the clicks of the paddles as the driver shifts.
The RCF owner was short shifting on most of the runs because from what he said in another video he isn't very experienced racing the RCF. On that last run I think he was in Auto mode as you can hear the car was in the low rpms when they were rolling together then it proceeded to jump into the right gear when he mashed the pedal. Also, the shifting on the run was damn near perfect and from what you saw on the runs where he shifted on his own, he probably wouldn't be able to pull off perfect shifts like that given his experience. M4 driving was also pretty bad though as they were also short shifting on some runs lol

Both cars need driver mod. And for the record the rcF shifts so much faster in manual mode this was not fair. If you need an auto car to be turned down cuz you can’t keep up in a manual then maybe you shouldn’t be driving one🤷♂️
Not reeeaallllyyyyy...... If you look at the bumper lip spoiler it virtually at 90 degree angle so there is minimal wind drag.. That spoiler angle is adjustable and the owner knows what he is doing. He set it that way on purpose.
4:55 - that was the LONGEST throw shift in the history of the world!!!! Lets go from the top of steering wheel to the shifter then shift gears poorly on top of that! Wow! Driver mod NOT!
Would be a different race if they actually knew how 2 drive a manual transmission. They were shifting super early or the rcf would be wayyy more behind
What I can understand is we're here to see the cars right? During the race they have the car on the tiny screen and have the interior of the driver on the big screen it should be vice versa. .. what's up with that ?
On the roll race either the rcf started way late or the bmw jumped the gun by about a full car length. I’d reeaaally like to see this race with different drivers, idk how both keep fuckin up every single time.
I would take the Lexus over the Bmw any day of the week simply for the reliability and the Lexus V8 sounds amazing. It's not always which one is the fastest or corners the sharpest it comes down to how much enjoyment you get from on a daily basis from your length of ownership.
@@SamCarLegion not exactly… new models have a new launch control mode, revised engine and transmission tuning, and the track edition is over 100 pounds lighter….

If i recall the rear is different gearing especially if you have the TVD. So i feel the better comparison would be the new track edition. I don't see the point in comparing a new generation car with an older one to begin with unless your just showing us a random race but i guess the race was cool in itself. I still like the channel and races. But i would prefer it be more fair.

I own a 2019 Lexus RCF. It's NOT a V6! All the RCF's have a 5.0 V8!
All F is V8 and the LFA is V10
