The guy with the dark hair and trimmed beard is Bobby Bass (first to sing lyrics). He did the arrangement, which is fabulous. Bobby is also a member of The Bass Gang, with Tomi P, Marwan Ayman (kid with the glasses), and Peter Barber (also in this). They just dropped four new songs which you should definitely check out if you like bass. Each song has a featured guest, including Colm McGuinness and Jonathan Young (long hair, sings with Bobby at one point). They also have Elliott Robinson, who has one of the silkiest low voices I’ve heard-I’m crazy about him. And Malinda, who has this beautiful, ethereal soprano that just blends so well with the basses.
What I did after hearing this song a few times was try to match names with the singers, and check out their channels or groups. That turned out to be a fun rabbit trail. I’m really dying to see a LOT more from Luke, and also Jojo Otseidu (such a lovely warm voice). Efe Sayin has recently worked with Tomi on an Avi Kaplan medley that you should check out-a couple nice Easter eggs in it. Oh, and if you are not familiar with Avi, he used to sing with Pentatonix, but has gone off on his own. Change on the Rise is a great place to start-that one should become an anthem-makes you want to rise up and fix stuff.
ETA: the ONLY reason I haven’t mentioned the great Geoff Castellucci is because I’ve seen you react to him so I know you love him!
