I know this is more of a TVC channel but at Galaxy's Edge, they put out a really neat Black Series creature pack! I definitely want to pick it up at some point.
I think a Yoda Degobah hut playset is one they could do as a non-HasLab exclusive playset that would be very popular and the right size for that expression.
I absolutely agree with bossk about the troop builder pack being 4 standard troops. Even though we need the snowtrooper on a cardback, I would love to see 4 standard snowtroopers in the builder pack. They could then give us a deluxe snowtrooper with E-WEB cannon. OMGosh that would be awesome.
I really want the Rebo Band. That's what I want more than anything. They really missed the ball by not putting it out this year. Hopefully next year or soon.
Ok, so I started thinking about this and now I can't stop. I'm totally with those people commenting that a Cantina playset is a good option, as well as the Star Destroyer bridge. And, I've seen several people commenting that a Rebel war room or briefing room - like the HOME ONE briefing room, which is an awesome pick. But also, I thought of the Bespin Gantry, the setting for the ESB Luke/Vader lightsaber duel. And, EMPEROR PALPATINE'S THRONE ROOM. This is a perfect size to do that as a playset.
In the "Not Quite A Haslab" playset category there are 2 environments that come to mind: -The Cantina, as you noted in this video. I think it should include the full bar plus 3 of the alcove booths, and maybe entrance steps -The Home One briefing room. I've seen so many customizers tackle this one,, and they just keep coming back to it. And I think if it were done as half of the room it would give collectors the option to buy a second to make the full room. Appreciate you taking on my question about TPM 25! Watto would be a great TVC character - excellent choice on your part. I feel similarly about Sebulba because of the possibilities with the articulation. And also Captain Panaka - the guy has a lot of dialogue and there's only ever been one figure made of the guy!

QFNW, do you think they are going to make a sculpt for Omega? They could possibly then use it for a young Boba and a young clones army pack. Hey Bossk Question for Next Week: God forbid we don’t hit 17K for the Ghost, Hasbro’s made it clear we won’t get Kanan or Zeb in their season 3 & 4 appearances not only the mural card back. But what do you think the chances are we will see Kanan and Zeb’s season 1 and 2 looks if they don’t get backed ? As an opener I just really want those characters!
I think a great Haslab would be a full-on Jabbas palace. It's everyone's favourite diorama. Barbie has been getting a dream house for years , so surely it's the big man's turn. Possibly to coincide with new Jabba release next year

QFNW: The most recent case of TVC figures I received had some of the worst "bubble to card" rub damage I had seen to date and it detracted significantly from my enjoyment of the figures. With the new thicker card stock, do you know if, or foresee, Hasbro mitigating this damaging design flaw with slightly larger case boxes, thin paper between the figures, or some other fix in the future? Thanks in advance for any hope you can give!
With the addition of the Imperial Officer 4 pack, a non Haslab playset could be the Death Star Conference room table or maybe even a proper Star Destroyer bridge, doesn't have to be huge, just better than the 1980's Darth Vader Star Destroyer playset (which looked nothing like a Star Destroyer). Also, with the Hoth soldier 4 pack, maybe a Hoth playset of some sort Echo Base Command Center, A redo of the 1980's Turret gun playset, etc.
I would love more characters from Andor in VC! Mon Mothma and Luthen in VC would be great, but especially Dedra Meero! I don’t know if I agree about the army builder packs. I don’t mind them identical if they are troops in matching armor and helmets, but I prefer different head sculpts when you can see faces. I do get what you’re saying about certain characters single carded. That’s not important to me, but I know it is to a lot of collectors. I kind of like a little variety in the four packs though. I wouldn’t have minded some Endor Rebel troopers, but what I would really love to see in the troop builder is… rebel officers! If they wanted to do a named character they could do General Madine, but they don’t have to. Just some officers would be good maybe three humans, one without a hat, one female, and the fourth could be Duros. I would also absolutely love a critter pack. They got one in Black Series. Also just a heads up the troop transport from season 2 of the Mandalorian and the one from rise of Skywalker are two different ships. 😁
I think a new cantina with some a new bartender would be something we’ve needed for a while & then in the following months afterwards some new original ones & some new ones that have never been done before

I'm wondering why in the Imperial officer 4-pack why they are not making one of the officer's uniform all black. That way we get the grey, white and black Imperial uniform color variants in one pack.
I'm out priced for army builders. And completely agree. The point is you are paying for the same figures to build your army. Name characters need to have their own card/packaging.
well they said the unlocks will start building the mural, so guess at some point, and by on exclusive card backs, hope means they wil come out with the crew at some point

Hasbro will sure do Bad things with a rebel commando 4 pack with 4 différent heads but same body and clothes. We need a commando in green jumpsuit, and one with the short jacket, faces must be the movie accurate faces.

very possible to get solo figures-my main haslab want is the lando falcon, mean they comin with stuff for clone wars, its old plus, they make stuff for stuff like rogue one,rebels, new hope, return of jedi, so its all old stuff, so slightly possible, what they think fans want might be a factor
And a RANCOR PIT - one that includes the articulated, shrunk-down TVC version of the dreaded failed Black Series HasLab Rancor. And, a Malakili carded pack-in figure. See? Can't stop.

Surprisingly, Pelli hasn’t made it into the Black Series either. Haulcraft is unlikely to make it into TVC as it will have to be at least Falcon-sized, and Andor has divided the fanbase despite being a knock out of the park. Some people are just too hung up on Jedi and lightsabers to appreciate a real world inspired, gritty, politically intricate series like Andor.
@@abhishekdas8026And Pelli is not just a recurring character but a popular one, too. I still think a carded figure of her should've came with the Razor Crest or the new N1 Naboo fighter. Hasbro messed up on that opportunity since she would be a peg warmer if she was in a wave of new figures.
Love the Q&As BB. Would love a Cantina with entrance, bar, distillery and left sided alcoves as the next large playset (like Boba’s Throne room) with pack in of the Tonnika sisters. Release a single alcove with pack-in Sandtrooper as a $60 modular playset so you can complete the right side of the cantina if you wish. What about a Tattoine hangar for a large playset? Get a corner and two long walls, weathered appropriately, and include a bunch of accessories like crates or doids, you could call it Pelli Moto's hangar to connect it with new media, but you could also use it to display with a Falcon for an episode 4 scene.
Surely Bossk you got yourself a 1982 firebird diecast sitting somewhere :P i picked one up recently 1:32 i think or 1:44 it was pretty cheap, Marvel legends on special are tempting too i'd love the X-men cast but like Starwars its very hard to follow Marvel releases unless you are watching for them like we do for starwars, so the secondary market price on the X-men figures (Rogue/Gambit) are vastly overpriced, think Anakin episode 3. I wish hasbro would go back to the tank commander/driver i really can't let that go i got one driver! ONE! and i'm an army builder.. these were just impossible to find and a pair of each is such an easy 4pk, i do wish they had barbells but for a cheap easy repack it'd be such an easy win for hasbro. I'd also love to see the stormtrooper pack brought back the updated trooper, i kinda think they should make some of those every two years and put out half the stock every year at the same time, stormtroopers are ever green!

Hey Tim. QFNW in regards to the army builder 4 packs, do you think these are sets that Hasbro Pulse should be restocking? Namely the stormtrooper set. That one has been sold out for a while now. Having a somewhat limited release seems to contradict the army building aspect in my opinion. Thanks!
ye, it's really odd they didn't have more stormtroopers or 4 packs. I think its a figure they could produce for years to come and still sell them all. You can't ever have enough stormtroopers!
Hope they don't forget the 187th clone troopers.... they supported master Mace I'm up for hoth, commandos, death watch commandos, guards etc. I want to see a arena battle playset or the creatures get a release.
I'm a big fan of the $200-$250 playset "expression", and would love to see more. The first one that comes to mind is an ECHO BASE playset. Maybe with a command center, some hallways (maybe these could be add ons at the $50-$60 price point), a medical room with a bacta tank, and those big hangar bay blast doors. I know people seem to want an Ewok village HasLab, but if that doesn't happen, a scaled down version at this price would totally be an option. Also, from season 3 Mandalorian, a ruins of Mandalore playset.
thought the white or not so white, speeder bike is just strange lookin, imho just happy to have tuskens, and the cheif was a big item for me, i get spares of every fig so not too bad, but fully get the arguement
Great Vid BB! Yea, the cantina is big, it’s going to be another $400-500 haslab item. It would be the perfect next one! 24/25’ have a TBS campaign, then 25/26’ reveal the cantina just in time for the 50th anniversary of Star Wars! It has the widest character selection, new/old media appeal, not another vehicle, and it usually in the top 3 when polled! And hasbro…just…get…it…over…with lol! Whatcha think? Also, I fell two-packs would be an easy fix for a lot of the problems TVC faces. 2-pack for the complete the mural, 2-packs for named characters and big boys (Antilles w/ r4 or officer; Paz v mando from bobf; chief v space suit boba; BK v Boba; baze and bodhi; wrecker w/ version of omega; droidika v clone; pong krell v clone etc.) If you can card grievous, malgus, hammer head, amanaman, gamorrean, and fat bib; you can card these other ones as well!
Hi BB, Getting back into it after having to sell up due to circumstances. Getting the TVC 96 and creating some dioramas and shelf displays is the plan! So question, do you know of good UK creators of custom pieces and sets to help along with this? A cantina comes to mind along with the dusty streets of Mos Eisley. Qui-Gon's a bit too tall for a generic Jedi buck unfortunately. He's the only human Jedi whose last sculpt had the ab-crunch torso articulation; all the others were swivel-waist. In fact he shared arm and leg parts with the Legacy Coleman Trebor, and that guy's a giant

I feel like what you said about the four packs is exactly why they didn't include Tarkin in the Officers Four Pack (and why I'm glad they didn't really). Putting named characters in the four packs defeats the purpose of the "Army Builder" aspect of the 4-packs as they are supposed to be generic grunts. Putting Captain Antilles in the Rebel Trooper pack still annoys me. I mean it's a fine enough figure, but as he's not carded, I didn't really need 2 of him, but I bought two Trooper packs, so 2 of him I have. Also, as a newer TVC collector, a carded Tarkin (regardless of TVC number or cardback) is pretty much my only chance to get him at a reasonable price. As for your question about about larger diorama playsets that would still be too small for a Haslab, I would love to see things like the bridge of the Mon Calmarie Cruiser (briefing room from ROTJ) or maybe the Briefing Room on the Death Star. How about the Death Star command center or the Bridge of a Star Destroyer? both would go well with the Imperial Hallway set they teased years ago and then never made... Or the Larrs family homestead/Garage (Of course that would mean a NEW Farm Boy Luke plus Owen and Baru and a rerelease of the ridiculously expensive TVC landspeeder. Not that I'd mind one bit)

I honestly wouldn't want a Cantina playset simply because I feel like they would lock old ben kenobi to the playset and most likely make the bar tender mainline. Sometimes Hasbro is that weird.
there were star wars resistance figures when the show was on,, they might have made Lego Freemaker toys, but not regular 3.75 figures of the Freemakers cartoon

Thanks for the review of the N1. As a result I've cancelled my pre-order as I think that the ship is underwhelming. Poor paint apps and weathering and the lack of a R5 head is inexcusable. Lazy and complacent from Hasbro.

I was baffled by the Jedi Retro pack. Not only did it break from the run they were doing - because they hadn't done a pack for Empire - but they included a totally new figure in Mon Mothma (with a gun for some bizarre reason), which none of the other sets had. One thing wasn't different though - it sold out over here in no time.
I think a Hoth playset is a massive miss & would be & could be next level from my vintage imperial base, which was played with to death. It could be reversable also to cater for both the rebels & the empire. Cheers🍻👍

Forgive the shameless plug but since one of your viewers asked about the AT-AP on this week’s ABB, I just put out a review of that vehicle on my channel today 😬. Found it at a toy shop ironically while participating in a Bossk’s Bounty channel member livestream, lol.
somebody really needs to ask hasbro about the terrible quality control on these. we can only buy the product online, it comes in a closed box with no window, and after we open it, we find poorly aligned paint apps or worse yet smudges. they truly appear to be either factory seconds or at least a much lower quality bar than individually carded figures.
Regarding a playset that might be sized less than a HasLab, this may be just wishful thinking on my part, but a Hoth Rebel Base is what comes to my mind… after that, I might say Yoda’s hut (expanded) or maybe Uncle Owen/Aunt Beru’s place (granted, that would pretty much have to be two levels)…

I still don’t understand why we don’t have a battle droid four pack.. only about 3 releases of battle droids since 2012 and what feels like 2012 releases of clone troopers since 2012.. If the corrected the left arm to hold the barrel of their blaster rifle, I would seriously contemplate adding to my already 60 unit battle droid army. I can make peace with the fact that they are the incorrect height.

Hey Tim. Question for next week. With the Ghost already being funded, and hoping all tiers get unlocked, would this be a sign for Hasbro to put more effort and funding into TVC? At least one extra wave a year could really help bring down the backlog. At the very least they won’t have us waiting the same amount of time for another TVC haslab right?
did you find it strange the carded clone and 4 pack clone use a different helmet?? the 212th helmet is smaller than the phase 2 carded helmet, just strange, its hard to tell, becuz only slightly different, thought it was the heads, but its the helmet
I really don't understand why Hasbro has there heels in the ground so hard about not re-releasing a carded less accessory filled version of deluxe figs for on card collectors

With the 4 packs Hasbro are having their cake and eat it - The price is higher with the unique figures they are adding to the sets - they are forcing more sales from those collectors that might pass if they were just troop builders. It's purely an economical decision on their part and I guess it works for them with this model. I'm not a troop builder collector so I passed on the basic trooper packs, but I actually like the packs with named characters - would be interesting to see a poll to see where most collectors sit on this?

With the addition of the Imperial Officer 4 pack, a non Haslab playset could be the Death Star Conference room table or maybe even a proper Star Destroyer bridge, doesn't have to be huge, just better than the 1980's Darth Vader Star Destroyer playset (which looked nothing like a Star Destroyer). Also, with the Hoth soldier 4 pack, maybe a Hoth playset of some sort Echo Base Command Center, A redo of the 1980's Turret gun playset, etc.
I would love more characters from Andor in VC! Mon Mothma and Luthen in VC would be great, but especially Dedra Meero!
I don’t know if I agree about the army builder packs. I don’t mind them identical if they are troops in matching armor and helmets, but I prefer different head sculpts when you can see faces. I do get what you’re saying about certain characters single carded. That’s not important to me, but I know it is to a lot of collectors. I kind of like a little variety in the four packs though. I wouldn’t have minded some Endor Rebel troopers, but what I would really love to see in the troop builder is… rebel officers! If they wanted to do a named character they could do General Madine, but they don’t have to. Just some officers would be good maybe three humans, one without a hat, one female, and the fourth could be Duros.
I would also absolutely love a critter pack. They got one in Black Series.
Also just a heads up the troop transport from season 2 of the Mandalorian and the one from rise of Skywalker are two different ships. 😁
I think a new cantina with some a new bartender would be something we’ve needed for a while & then in the following months afterwards some new original ones & some new ones that have never been done before

QFNW - there seems to be no love for General Madine and I think he's a must have and a great troop builder for rebel officers. With that uniform style appearing in at least Ep.1 of Ahsoka, what do you think the chances are of carded Madine and a 4 pack of rebel officers to help offset tooling on a likely not terribly popular figure. Bonus - 21B is in there. Really hope for an 8D8 style plan to get him in the line

Surprisingly, Pelli hasn’t made it into the Black Series either. Haulcraft is unlikely to make it into TVC as it will have to be at least Falcon-sized, and Andor has divided the fanbase despite being a knock out of the park. Some people are just too hung up on Jedi and lightsabers to appreciate a real world inspired, gritty, politically intricate series like Andor.
@@abhishekdas8026And Pelli is not just a recurring character but a popular one, too. I still think a carded figure of her should've came with the Razor Crest or the new N1 Naboo fighter. Hasbro messed up on that opportunity since she would be a peg warmer if she was in a wave of new figures.

What about a Tattoine hangar for a large playset? Get a corner and two long walls, weathered appropriately, and include a bunch of accessories like crates or doids, you could call it Pelli Moto's hangar to connect it with new media, but you could also use it to display with a Falcon for an episode 4 scene.

Surely Bossk you got yourself a 1982 firebird diecast sitting somewhere :P i picked one up recently 1:32 i think or 1:44 it was pretty cheap, Marvel legends on special are tempting too i'd love the X-men cast but like Starwars its very hard to follow Marvel releases unless you are watching for them like we do for starwars, so the secondary market price on the X-men figures (Rogue/Gambit) are vastly overpriced, think Anakin episode 3.
I wish hasbro would go back to the tank commander/driver i really can't let that go i got one driver! ONE! and i'm an army builder.. these were just impossible to find and a pair of each is such an easy 4pk, i do wish they had barbells but for a cheap easy repack it'd be such an easy win for hasbro.
I'd also love to see the stormtrooper pack brought back the updated trooper, i kinda think they should make some of those every two years and put out half the stock every year at the same time, stormtroopers are ever green!

ye, it's really odd they didn't have more stormtroopers or 4 packs. I think its a figure they could produce for years to come and still sell them all. You can't ever have enough stormtroopers!

I'm a big fan of the $200-$250 playset "expression", and would love to see more. The first one that comes to mind is an ECHO BASE playset. Maybe with a command center, some hallways (maybe these could be add ons at the $50-$60 price point), a medical room with a bacta tank, and those big hangar bay blast doors. I know people seem to want an Ewok village HasLab, but if that doesn't happen, a scaled down version at this price would totally be an option. Also, from season 3 Mandalorian, a ruins of Mandalore playset.

thought the white or not so white, speeder bike is just strange lookin, imho just happy to have tuskens, and the cheif was a big item for me, i get spares of every fig so not too bad, but fully get the arguement

Yea, the cantina is big, it’s going to be another $400-500 haslab item. It would be the perfect next one! 24/25’ have a TBS campaign, then 25/26’ reveal the cantina just in time for the 50th anniversary of Star Wars! It has the widest character selection, new/old media appeal, not another vehicle, and it usually in the top 3 when polled! And hasbro…just…get…it…over…with lol! Whatcha think?
Also, I fell two-packs would be an easy fix for a lot of the problems TVC faces. 2-pack for the complete the mural, 2-packs for named characters and big boys (Antilles w/ r4 or officer; Paz v mando from bobf; chief v space suit boba; BK v Boba; baze and bodhi; wrecker w/ version of omega; droidika v clone; pong krell v clone etc.) If you can card grievous, malgus, hammer head, amanaman, gamorrean, and fat bib; you can card these other ones as well!
An imperial shadow trooper 4-pack would be nice.

Qui-Gon's a bit too tall for a generic Jedi buck unfortunately. He's the only human Jedi whose last sculpt had the ab-crunch torso articulation; all the others were swivel-waist. In fact he shared arm and leg parts with the Legacy Coleman Trebor, and that guy's a giant

I feel like what you said about the four packs is exactly why they didn't include Tarkin in the Officers Four Pack (and why I'm glad they didn't really). Putting named characters in the four packs defeats the purpose of the "Army Builder" aspect of the 4-packs as they are supposed to be generic grunts. Putting Captain Antilles in the Rebel Trooper pack still annoys me. I mean it's a fine enough figure, but as he's not carded, I didn't really need 2 of him, but I bought two Trooper packs, so 2 of him I have. Also, as a newer TVC collector, a carded Tarkin (regardless of TVC number or cardback) is pretty much my only chance to get him at a reasonable price.
As for your question about about larger diorama playsets that would still be too small for a Haslab, I would love to see things like the bridge of the Mon Calmarie Cruiser (briefing room from ROTJ) or maybe the Briefing Room on the Death Star. How about the Death Star command center or the Bridge of a Star Destroyer? both would go well with the Imperial Hallway set they teased years ago and then never made... Or the Larrs family homestead/Garage (Of course that would mean a NEW Farm Boy Luke plus Owen and Baru and a rerelease of the ridiculously expensive TVC landspeeder. Not that I'd mind one bit)
But they put Motti and Piett in the pack so they already put named characters in it.

I honestly wouldn't want a Cantina playset simply because I feel like they would lock old ben kenobi to the playset and most likely make the bar tender mainline. Sometimes Hasbro is that weird.

Thanks for the review of the N1. As a result I've cancelled my pre-order as I think that the ship is underwhelming. Poor paint apps and weathering and the lack of a R5 head is inexcusable. Lazy and complacent from Hasbro.

I was baffled by the Jedi Retro pack. Not only did it break from the run they were doing - because they hadn't done a pack for Empire - but they included a totally new figure in Mon Mothma (with a gun for some bizarre reason), which none of the other sets had. One thing wasn't different though - it sold out over here in no time.
I think a Hoth playset is a massive miss & would be & could be next level from my vintage imperial base, which was played with to death. It could be reversable also to cater for both the rebels & the empire. Cheers🍻👍

Forgive the shameless plug but since one of your viewers asked about the AT-AP on this week’s ABB, I just put out a review of that vehicle on my channel today 😬. Found it at a toy shop ironically while participating in a Bossk’s Bounty channel member livestream, lol.
somebody really needs to ask hasbro about the terrible quality control on these. we can only buy the product online, it comes in a closed box with no window, and after we open it, we find poorly aligned paint apps or worse yet smudges. they truly appear to be either factory seconds or at least a much lower quality bar than individually carded figures.
Regarding a playset that might be sized less than a HasLab, this may be just wishful thinking on my part, but a Hoth Rebel Base is what comes to my mind… after that, I might say Yoda’s hut (expanded) or maybe Uncle Owen/Aunt Beru’s place (granted, that would pretty much have to be two levels)…

If the corrected the left arm to hold the barrel of their blaster rifle, I would seriously contemplate adding to my already 60 unit battle droid army. I can make peace with the fact that they are the incorrect height.

Hey Tim. Question for next week. With the Ghost already being funded, and hoping all tiers get unlocked, would this be a sign for Hasbro to put more effort and funding into TVC? At least one extra wave a year could really help bring down the backlog. At the very least they won’t have us waiting the same amount of time for another TVC haslab right?

did you find it strange the carded clone and 4 pack clone use a different helmet?? the 212th helmet is smaller than the phase 2 carded helmet, just strange, its hard to tell, becuz only slightly different, thought it was the heads, but its the helmet

Great vid as always, question for next week: seeing as marvel figures are beginning to release the same troops on male and female bodies, do you think we could see this in TVC? With the 4 packs Hasbro are having their cake and eat it - The price is higher with the unique figures they are adding to the sets - they are forcing more sales from those collectors that might pass if they were just troop builders. It's purely an economical decision on their part and I guess it works for them with this model. I'm not a troop builder collector so I passed on the basic trooper packs, but I actually like the packs with named characters - would be interesting to see a poll to see where most collectors sit on this?
But if they did only have 4 of the same figure people would buy multiples. I only bought 2x 212th but would have bought more had they not had waxer
