Thank you!! I spent hours trying to program my keypad and transmitters (and cars) today...it was maddening following the Marantec instructions. Your video SAVED me!
Finally!!! Thank you! I've been thru so many searches and no one has seemed to give me any direction on how to program without another transmitter. Thanks for your help! My particular brand required 4 pushes to get to programming and didn't flash on the transmitter but did flash on the main unit! Thank you again ☺️
Thanks Derek!! My Genie remote stopped working. Bought the big wide Genie remote. Watched the video and programmed it. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
AFAIK every single replacement remote control from marantec is packed with the jumper. So no problem. I lost all remotes so I am going to program the main control unit again. Nice video here shows how to do it in a few secs. Good work!
Great information - doing research for a customer that is unable to program his garage door with the Homelink in his truck. This will be helpful. Thank you again!
cool vid informative with some humor... more towards the end...? can i use a universal remote i bought at hm depot with my mline? also could i use 3 paper clips as a jumper?
I liked it - thanks. I'm wondering if I can program my remote so that previous owners don't have access to my garage with their remotes that they didn't leave me. Can I change the code? Each time I program the remote is it creating a new code? I can't test this out b/c I only have one remote.
I need to reprogram the small button. And leave the big button alone. Each time I go through the steps and press the small button the light on the remote doesn't flash only the #3 light on the main unit does. Code stays the same for the small button. I tested it with other remotes and they should not be programed any longer but they are. Any suggestions?
No luck changing the upper limit so I'd appreciate some help. I held down the P button until the lights flashed supposedly taking me into the program open limit. (However LED 2 did NOT flash as the Marantec manual suggested.) I pressed the - and + button to get the door into the open limit position. Then I pressed the P repeatedly changing the LEDS. But it stopped at flashing the opener lights and seemed failed return to normal operation. And the open limit did NOT adjust to the position I set.
SO what do one do if they just bought the home with the opener and don't have this little jumper? Or if one doesn't have a "Marentec" key pad? Is it possible to programotehr makes of transponders to work with this opener?
Just replaced my dead Marantec M3-2312 remote (RiP) w/your Precision Digital Transmitter 382 to remotely connect with my everlasting 29 yr. old Martin 3700 DC Garage Opener wired to a radio receiver via impulse output (RCP02-3101M). iT W0rkS!! 😃
I tried this to program a new remote but the P button just makes the lights blink, nothing else. The remote has dip switches as a plan B, is there a way to find that as an option? (Great video by the way, took an otherwise boring topic and made it entertaining.)
My remote is same like yours on this video. And only one button is working. I use it for opening and closing garage door. Is it possible to use one button for opening and another for closing door? Or,what is the other ,smaller button for?
That aint nice bro lol I think he's kinda HOTT....i'd DEEP Throat him if he'd just gimme a chance....10-15 seconds...and I KNOW that dudes eyez would be rollin n tha back of his head....HAHA he's be like "OHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHYTTTT!!! DAMNNNN, Don't stop." then make me crawl over to tha wall in the garage and bang tha F outta my mouth!!! like...head to da NutZ....If yall had to take a guess....how many inches you think he's packin??? Looking at him I bet its not all that Long but it's realllll THICK.....i'd say he's got about a 6.5" to 7" max but FAT FATTTT........u know like tha ones that jus GAPE you WIDE open!!! mmmmmmmmmmmm those r tha best!!
Also what if you have the old Midi one button opener that is broken? You showed the easy reprogram now shouw all of us the trick to reprograming an old system with a new remote. That is what I need to know.
does the Chamberlain Universal Clicker remote works with this? if so can someone tell me how to program it thanks, it doesn't say anything about Marantec Garage door openers in the manual BTW i like this video, even though it's about garage door it's funny
Hi, i got a small problem but when i press and hold the P button the second time, it doesn't allow me to program the close door position. I thank you in advance for your reply
+MrBravoalphatango Hi. I got the exact problem with my device. When I pressed the P button after setting open limit, it doesn't switch to close setting but exits to initial state instead. Did you resolve this issue?
My house didn’t come with one, I’ve spent tons of money buying remotes and hours watching these videos and still have a POS marantec opener that doesn’t open
I can't seem to set the End Stop positions - either for OPEN or CLOSE. We had a series of power cuts/surges last week which appear to have reset the end stop settings on my Marantec Comfort 250 box. The door closes but then re-opens a little, just as if it hitting an obstacle; the fully open position also rides to the end of the rails. It seems that it no longer knows how long the rails are and is unable to stop at the correct positions. When I tried to set the positions by pressing the 'P' button, Error 7 immediately appeared on the panel. I've tried re-setting the power and also doing a factory reset, but I still can't programme the settings. Anyone got any ideas?
+lodgest , I'm experiencing exactly the same difficulties, no fixed yet. I posted new thread on doityourself.com forum and waiting for some advice... Hopefully, someone would tell what could cause the problem. If you'll figure it somehow, please, let me know. Thank you.
+Hippo C. Hi :) My supplier suggested switching off at the mains with the door OPEN and leaving it for at last 30 seconds to re-set everything. Unfortunately, this didn't work for me ( I left it off for more like 30 minutes too!) but it still won't let me save any settings - as soon as I hit the P button, it goes to an error light. I'm going to have to get them out to look at it properly. I guess there may be a blown component in the circuit board or something similar. Hope you get a solution without any cost :)
+lodgest, Thank you for quick reply. I had the unit disconnected in open position for around an hour, while I removed the motor to check micro switch there (I was curious where goes the cable underneath the motor). So the hint probably doesn't work for me either.. I thought about malfunction in electronic board too, but I'd rather be sure that it would be the thing to change before ordering new one. Some precision advice would be appreciated... :)
+Hippo C. Hi - I've just paid out £75 to have my local supplier come and 'fix' my garage door! Guess what? - it's nothing to do with the Electrics, but due to the fact that the 'reference point' had come off. This 'reference point' is a small piece of plastic that was previously glued onto the belt, about 2 feet in front of the box (that houses the motor) when the door is open. When the door closes, this runs past a micro-switch and allows the programming functions to work. Without that reference point, the opener doesn't know where it is! I assume that it knows how many turns of the motor to run to the fully open or fully closed position from when it 'sees' that little piece come past. The guy that came just felt along the back side of the belt and could feel where the previous piece was glued on. He put the new one in the same place, but said it doesn't need to be totally accurate - just somewhere near the spot where the old one was. Apparently, this is a common issue; he replaced it with a small metal triangle piece (no more than about 8mmx8mmx12mm) that he riveted onto the belt. This immediately fixed the problem, and allowed us to re-programme the end stops (I needed that step as I had a factory reset in my previous attempts to fix it!) So - I hope you might be able to save yourself a little bit of cash by putting something there, or perhaps getting a new piece from a supplier and fitting it yourself. Maybe a small bolt would do the trick? Just be careful as to how deep it is as I have no idea how large the 'opening' is in the micro-switch or whether it's just something that 'passes' by the switch? Hope this helps - Have fun :) Stephen
Stephen! Sweet! What An Information! It sounds wicked! ;-) I find weird that it happened after that power losess... It might be just coinsidence... I saw and dismantled that switch as I wondered what it suppose to do... I'm going to check the belt tomorrow. Will let you know... I do realy appreciate your writings! Thanks a Million! All the best. Josef.
I went "PercisionGarageDoor" web site and they provided information on new systems, most garage door opener systems are 10-15 years old, we need info on old systems, new systems don't break, old systems do and often.
Anything that old and it's just time to replace it. My Marantec is only 5 yrs old and my remotes won't work the receiver! Probably looking to pay for a healthy repair job.
How do I reprogram to a different code? I want to make sure my ex doesn't have access to my garage from her car. She says she deleted it from her car but I don't trust her. Bitch cheated on me.
Precision Garage Door Company does not make themselves available for product questions or support unless you are paying for a technician to come on site.
Marantec = Crap imo. Both the remotes, wall remote and car remote stopped working at once. Cannot reset the unit, the unit doesn't take the programming. Only pressing the wall switch works. Stay away from this crap
Thank you!! I spent hours trying to program my keypad and transmitters (and cars) today...it was maddening following the Marantec instructions. Your video SAVED me!

Great information! Thank you so much for a clear, easy to follow, humorous video. Worked like a charm!
Thank you so much! These kinds of things stress me out and you made it so simple to follow!
Thank you for saving my life. Great video, I was able to program my Marantec 4900e quickly after watching the video. A+
Thanks Derek!! My Genie remote stopped working. Bought the big wide Genie remote. Watched the video and programmed it. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
Thank you! Looked at numerous websites and videos...nothing provided me what I needed to re-program my remote...again...thank you!
Thank you so much for this
Took awhile to find a helpful video on programming the garage remote
It works. I am so happy rite now. It took me literally thirty seconds rite after I watched half video.
Love the humor :) Thanks for the information.
Clear and concise. Thank you!
Thank you so much Derek, you're AWESOME!

I honestly hope this guy is still in business. Some local station really needs to pick him up to do news.
Best how to video. Ever.
Cool vid, yo. I can appreciate the attempts at humor too.

Hi there.. Do you happen to have any videos in how to connect a Precision door model PDS 370 to myQ app? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
tres bien votre video, j'ai bien compris et pourtant je ne comprends pas l'anglais. merci
Yes but how do you hit reset button on garage opener to link car garage opener to it in a jeep ?
I am trying to get my MyQ garage opener paired to my Marantech Synergy 260.
Can anyone guide me how to program
Thank you
Great information. 370 Can I program this opener to a WiFi ?
My remote is same like yours on this video. And only one button is working. I use it for opening and closing garage door. Is it possible to use one button for opening and another for closing door? Or,what is the other ,smaller button for?
Same button to open and close, the otjer button is to program another door.
Where can I get a jumper to connect the remote to the keypad?
Did you ever find one? I need one now ha
Is there any way to get a Chamberlain "Clicker" universal to work on a Marantec?
Did you ever find a way to do this?
Cheesy but helpful video ,thanks.

I need help as well they show every door opener but the one I have!! HELP
are craftsman remotes compatible with the marantec m55?
No, you can't even program universal remotes with marantec openers
Nice edit. Didn’t expect humor. 😂
My remote never starts rapidly blinking on step 3
What lf you don't have a jumper for second remote
my remote was stolen from my truck. How do I change the frequency of main unit and start the programming over again?
My remote was stolen also. What did u end up doing?

Marantec doors suck so bad. Most complicated and non-user friendly opener ever made. I HATE that my house has two of these pieces of garbage.
