I removed the shroud on my Rangeman and it looks great, but like you said, you lose the majority of the protection. Turns heads though. Looks similar to a diver.
what i do with straps to push the watch closer to the buckle is un-stitch the first stitch to free the first keeper (closer to the watch) and then feed both ends of the strap through it (i also remove one of the 2 rings at the small end). i need to do this on most straps because i don't like the buckle under my wrist when sitting at a desk so this way i can push the buckle to the side of it. another benefit of this is that when you fold over the extra strap, through each keeper you feed 3 straps so the keepers are not loose (seiko did the first keeper tighter on their seichu strap to get the same benefit). it's difficult to describe this but if you are curious i can send you some photos on instagram to see what i mean.
You explained it very well. And thank you so much for the great info. I just leaned there are several ways to wear a nato only last week, so glsd to learn something from you.
Great Videos. I'm now obsessed with buying cheap Casio watches and modding them. I've got a CASIO Men's Digital World TIME A500 on order. Can you see any reason why I couldn't do a negative LCD mod on this?
Appreciate the kind words. Unfortunately im not familiar with the A500, so i cant say if it can have a negative mod. But id recommend joining one of the casio mod facebook groups. Im a part of Custom Casios Club. Very friendly and knowledgeable members on there who might be able to help
Hey just wondering if you know how to swap the button, because the other day I saw people were selling used black button for Rangeman and I was thinking maybe I can swap that with my silver button.
I do. You have to disassemble the watch and remove a retention C-clip on the inside of the button's stem. Then remove the factory stem and button and put in the new stem and button, then reattach the C-clip
There was a dude who put glow in the dark filter on this exact model. Can you perhaps find a good way to do that as weel? I think you’ll do a better job
Please mesaage me on my IG: @watchncarry, and ill be happy to provide more details. Im general, mods are made to order. However, i do not sell hydromods at this time. I can do the negative display mod on the ae1200 though.
