One stat everyone is overlooking fans and media is TURNOVERS! Dallas media, and sports media in general want to focus on shooting percentages and the fact that the Mavericks missed free throws at the end. However the Mavericks had committed more turnovers the entire game. The reasons they were up was defense and shooting the ball well. But when you are careless with the ball you don't deserve to win the game.

Thunder deserve a lot of credit. They got the ball out of Luka and Kyrie's hands. This is the plan they had for this series. They're happy letting PJ Washington and Jones beat them. Dallas needs to try the same thing to get the ball out of SGA's hands. He is clearly dominating right now.

Luka spent half of the final three minutes crying to refs while the play was still going, standing around doing nothing whenever Kyrie has the ball, I don't care if you are hurt you aren't a star just standing around like that in the final minutes.

OKC deserves credit, and SGA should still be on the Clippers except that they gave him up in a trade for Paul George and we see how that's turned out. A small point in the form of a question: What has happened to Gordon Hayward?? Not that long ago, he was a very good player who kept succumbing to injury. Now he's hardly playing at all. It's as if his talent fell off a cliff.

They've been missing free throws. It's pretty much been a problem since the season.
Okc was 7/27 from 3 and shot %38 percent from the field; which is significantly lower than their season average. If Dallas makes 20 free throws I could argue that all OKC needed to do was hit 3 more 3s. It’s a redundant argument. OKC played better when it mattered and Shai was the best player on the floor. Simple as that.

Y’all think he’s petty, and he may be. But the case for Shai to win MVP was really strong. Better head-to-head record against the Nuggets. Carries the youngest team in NBA history from 10th seed last season to the 1 seed and a first round sweep. Scored 31 points almost every damn game. Played defense and led the league in steals. Inspired a bunch of rookies and 2nd year players to be better than almost everyone else in the league.
Jokic took a talented veteran championship level team to the 2nd seed.
