Wow, a little shocked about Sally's comments on Penny Marshall, Rob Reiner's then wife. Talk about insecurity and arrogance! I was/am a big fan of Lavern & Shirley but never did like Penny, like her even less now after this interview.

@@anthonybrunotheodd from what she's saying, the producers of the show wanted to paint a picture of the program being quite low budget although that wasn't the case at all. She once famously said: "If a man is pictured chopping off a woman's breast, it only gets an R-rating, but if, God forbid, a man is pictured kissing a woman's breast, it gets an X-rating. Why is violence more acceptable than tenderness?" Still relevant after all these years 🤔

The producers of All in the Family figured out halfway through the run that Sally could do comedy. Suddenly Gloria had funny quirks comparable to her TV parents. Watch the episode where Gloria is upset because Mike makes her feel dumb and she wants to go back to school. It nicely showcases her talents.

I can ground break by digging a new hole, then I can ground break again by digging s hole next to it. If the new hole is a poor rendition of the first hole I would never say it is ground breaking. It is simple repetition, and a poor one at that, of something that had been done before. Not exploring any new techniques or situations. @@terri6854
