    New Walksnail Goggles L review. A box style FPV goggle that not only gives you an amazing HD fpv experience, it also doesnt break the bank. We test out the durability, range and FPV features of the Walksnail Goggle L. If you want to upgrade from analog VTX and fatsharks then this might be a great option without spending big on DJI or HDzero for digital FPV comparisons.

      What level of optical focus adjustment do they have, for those who have good eyesight but are old enough to need help focusing under 20cm from our faces?
      A good screen is one thing, but when it's under minimum distance, even normal analog will be clearer if it's got di-opter adjustment.

    Yeeup. Caddx has a good enough product with by far the widest range of flexibility in what size drones you can put a digital system in, but they keep releasing new products that are half baked and not finishing the last round of products.
    If they actually stopped and finished baking what’s already out today they could be the best option for most with hdzero getting the racers and dji getting the ones who have a reason or want to spend for it in larger drones.
    Still, I wish avatar hd was open source or open to others making hardware. That’s the one drawback is that it’s entirely reliant on caddx existing and choosing to support it.

    • @FPV420.
      @FPV420. Před měsícem

      @@UAVfutures Yes, I do prefer the box goggles for a few reasons. Firstly, the goggles X don't allow me to see the OSD corners unless I completely remove the face plate, but then light gets in. The IPD adjustment is just a tad short for me and it takes my eyes some time to adjust (I don't wear glasses).
      The only down side of the box goggles is that they are bulky.

    I’m wondering what the apparent FOV of these is like compared to the Recon HDs 3.5” (44°) and the Goggles X (50°). The Recon screen is so small that 1080P is kinda wasted, I can barely read the OSD. The Goggles X is still too small for me, I'm ruined by the Headplay HD IMAX like experience, but it’s 7” LCD is only 1280 x 800.

      DJI vs Walksnail is easy.. If you absolutely require the most penetration then it's the O3. The Walksnail is not going to go beyond DJI's hard distance limit if the flying is done behind a lot of obstruction. When obstruction is involved, the O3 will always outperform Walksnail. If that's not an issue then Walksnail is just easier to set up.
