Thank you! I'm trying to learn a few little things like this in case I get to help any signing customers. This is perfect! Thanks for the short and to-the-point video.

I’m a drive thru cashier at my work and I’ve been trying to learn a few signs for a hard of hearing gentleman that comes in about once or twice a month, I often give him a thumbs up or sign “Thank you” back

I'm also trying to learn this for a customer. I love interacting with the customers, so when a customer that was hearing impaired came it was very awkward. I just did my job n gave him a thumbs up. I hope this brightens his day.

Thanks! They hired the nicest deaf man at our local McDonalds. I felt bad for not being able to properly wish him a nice day.

I’m sure he appreciates it no matter how it comes out! Language is already a strange thing as it is, and humans have communicated in vastly different ways even without words. A friend of mine and his cousin came up with their own exclusive sign language when she was losing her hearing when they were kids, their family thought it was the cutest thing

I have a deaf post man and he is the sweetest. I tried to say thank you in sign language, and he looked excited. I wanted to learn how to tell him to have a good day. Learning letters are difficult for me, but I think with practice I can learn some phrases like this. I have motivation to learn now, and it's always been on my list to learn ASL. So thank you very much for the video. I'm excited to try it next time i see him! 😊

I've been dabbling in asl for a little bit and I noticed that when you're teaching the sign for good, shouldn't your dominant hand be coming down onto your flat non-dominant hand?
I understood what you showed as "Thank You."

That looks like “Have a good table”… the word DAY is signed by pointing your pointer finger when you go down. Am I wrong?

Incorrect. You signed “have a good all day”. Please leave teaching our language to qualified Deaf teachers.
