It’s pretty fair to say that there is no bad Mario RPG game on the Switch.
Yeah. Pretty much. The weakest one is Origami King. But even that one isn't bad and it's at least better than Sticker Star & Color Splash.
Agree
Im gonna be completely honest here I find the boss fights more fun in origami king then in ttyd
@@uroskesic6117 I disagree. I liked the design of the bosses in Origami King. Certainly more than SS & CS. But the battles? Not so much.
@@uroskesic6117 I hated the stupid ring battles in Origami King, EXCEPT when it came to the boss battles. There were so many options on the board for the boss fights it made the ring interesting and fun even if the bosses themselves were boring.
Bricks.
A very nice ranking video as usual from you. I just got my copy of Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door in today, and I will start playing it on a special day.
You’re my new favorite CZcamsr. The consistency of entertainment you push out blows my mind!!
We goin' tubular with this one 🗣
Always
😂☝️
D1cks! 😂
Sparks actually sounds really good. Loved rabbids but skipped the sequel for some reason. And I still need to play TTYD.
Great video!
Great video as usual. You should make a video bout the best 7/10 gamez
Man now I want to know how would N64 Paper Mario rank
Probably #3
Lol I ranked every Mario RPG last year czcams.com/video/XmDVd614to4/video.html
Good one, totally tubular life ❤
Super Mario RPG is number one on my list.
Bricks. Nice vid!
She tubular on my Johnathan until I Mario RPG on the switch
Damn
Bricks!!! Merry Christmas. TTYD is still the Goat paper Mario looking forward to picking up the re release. 💪👊👊
I got thousand year door and I suggest if you want Nintendo to make more similar games toy should buy it too!
already have thousand year door on gamecube prolly not getting the switch one but it looks fire
I have it on my modded Wii U so same here. I did buy the Mario Rpg remake tho and that was 👌
u should def get it
@@vivilover9409what did they even change about it?
I understand. But if you’re able to get it and have the financial means, I highly encourage you get it. It sends a message to Nintendo that we want the old style of paper Mario
Bruh itz June
Crazy how this video is already outdated
you are telling me lol
20:20 I would have to say most people agree Super Paper Mario might have TTYD topped story wise but everywhere else I'd agree TTYD trumps SPM without a doubt
I like Super Mario RPG but its turn based combat feels more like playing chess... u always have to really think. Which could be better to some for different replays but its not high on my list. Paper Mario TTYD however is so great to me more cause its not just more of a turn based game and more of an adventure where its more like checkers where u focus on combat as part of the game not just the main thing and the exploration and story is more of the focus.
I would say more like checkers cause chess is pretty hard than checkers. But I agree. The battle system in Super Mario RPG is way too predictable & make the game so much easier.
Good choices. As for my pick from least favorite to favorite.
5. Origami King. Certainly not an bad game and it's better than Sticker Star & Color Splash. But the battle system can be obnoxious & frustrating at times. I also don't like how any weapons have durability.
4. Super Mario RPG Remake. This might be an hot take. But here me out. It's certainly an definitive version of the game and there are many things to like about it. But the battle system is way too predictable and way too easy that it doesn't get any variety into the strategy & challenge. It's an important game for sure. And it can still be fun. I just think later Mario RPG'S handles the battle system & everything else better.
3. Sparks of Hope. And solid sequel to an already great game. There are so many great things about the game. But I don't like some of the changes they did from the first game. Like the weapons & leveling up system. I prefer the straightforward progression that KB has over an open world sandbox and while Sparks & walking around 360 angle space looks cool, it can make the game much easier. Thankfully it does have difficulty option. But still. I still love Sparks of Hope. I just prefer the way KB handles it.
2. Kingdom Battle. Speaking of which, this is one of the best titles on the Switch and one of my favorite crossover games in general. Having an Xcom alike game in two unusual crossover franchise works so well and it made the Rabbids more likable now. This is gem of an game.
1. The Thousand Year Door Remake. This is no contest. Not only is it one of; if not, the best Mario RPG ever made and one of the best Mario games period, but it's the superior version now with so many QOL improvements & features that is more tolerable & fun than it ever was.
My ranking of ones I've played (I've played all these games since I was a kid haha, I'm not a simp for new games):
3. Mario RPG
2. TTYD
1. TOK (just as shocked as everyone else, this is my favorite Mario game of all time, not just my favorite RPG. Top five games of all time even)
One's I've played, not only just this vid
10. Sticker Star
9. Superstar Saga
8. Partners in Time
7. Paper Mario 64
6. Mario RPG
5. Color Splash
4. Dream Team
3. Super Paper Mario
2. TTYD
1. The Origami King
Missing quite a few bangers unfortunately.
Yep, pretty much the order I would've put these in. 👍
I would argue the fps absolutely does affect how ttyd remake plays, I can't get more than like 4 or 5 super jumps, in the original I could do double that easily. The game is easy as hell normally so it isn't a deal breaker but it does play differently
To be fair, that's more due to the fact the 4th power bounce is frame perfect for some reason
I liked how different Kingdom Battle and Sparks of Hope were from each other. SoH didn't feel like a simple rehash of KB, so each had their strengths.
That being said, one thing that's categorically better in KB over SoH is that Beep-0 doesn't speak (in a theater-kid British voice, at that). I didn't like the other characters having speaking roles either - it adds cringe to an otherwise absurd yet enjoyable cast of characters - but Beep-0's voice caused me pain.
Brick ! I don't know man I didn't like sparks of hope even if i LOVE kingdom battle. I think sparks was really more about Rabbids than Mario it made me really hate all the characters and location. Really more like Rabbids × Mario sparks of hope. I think all the references and love put into the first game don't really shine in the second. Even if the fighting was better I didn't really care about any of the enemies or new characters of the game.
I can’t choose between Mario rpg or paper Mario ttyd
5 Sparks of hope
4 The origami king
3 Mario rpg
2 Kingdom battle
1 The thousand year door
Bro I don't mean to hate but having Kingdom Battle at 2 and having Origami King anywhere that's not last is wild
What's wrong with kingdom battle?
@@JohnPaulForeroi would put origami king in 1st
I don’t consider the Kingdom Battle games as RPG’s
They kinda are.
Lol Mario Rabbids is the best Mario RPG game. 🤣
Glad Paper Mario Origami King got the review it deserves instead of it being bashed non stop.
1. Door
Super mario rpg is better than paper mario ttyd, because i prefer super mario rpg turn base battle over paper mario, i just hate useing the badges only help a little bit and leveling up in this game kinda pointless because there no way to buff up marios acttcks unless he gets power rush badge for me only way i can beat the final boss, i completely fine with out the power rush badge though out the whole game until the final boss was pertty bs, to me and even with all good badges and useing star powers to buff up mario and my partners acttck and defense i couldn't beat the boss unless i use power rush which is really lame to get marios acttcks up while super mario rpg you only need to level up and use stronger weapons and armor which i prefer over useing badges, nintendo should let square enix make a paper mario game and fix the battle turn system
You see. I disagree. The badges in Paper Mario does way more to help out battles than Super Mario RPG does. It gives you abilities & effects that can help you out in battle and there are all source of enemies that you have to look at what, who, where & how can you dealt with them with your badges. It's alot more strategic & challenging. In Super Mario RPG, all you get is an weapon & armored that only increases the stats and the accessories is the only thing that gives you an effect. But even than, it's worthless because the battle system are really predictable that you just press an button to do more damage & defending yourself. It also doesn't help that Super Mario RPG lacks any challenge. So all your doing is using powerful weapons, abilities or special moves to take them all out easily.
Nah super Mario RPG the best
Sparks of hope is the worst sequel I've ever played
Whaaaaat why?
It lacks in some aspects but the worst sequel????
Yeah I kindof agree.I haven t finished it because it got boring to play
@totallynotthebillcollector maybe not the worst sequel (sticker star), but there are still multiple reasons why I don't like it.
I can’t choose between Mario rpg or paper Mario ttyd
I would chosse mario rpg because that game plays completely different from the other mario rpg games
