Gotta take time to say this. You are the very best at one thing on this channel. You are sincere and you actually enjoy helping people. No one else on the net does what you do the way you do it. I can tell it comes from your heart. The time it takes for you to help others, with all the links you create and all the intricate details you project on this channel is truly amazing. I appreciate you. Easily one of the top three or four guys on the net. thanks for all the help you give, and I know you started with very little and you have never lost sight of how that was. This is a great channel for guys that have very little money to get to their goals, with your help and encouragement, they have no excuse to quit or give up. Thanks
Very accurate, nice words man. I second your thoughts.
Amen to that restatement.

@@cstromquist I can tell that was from your heart Chris.
This is exactly what I been looking for the kit. Appreciate the videos man you do a awesome job in every video I have seen . Just wanted to say THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP.
My wife is not gonna be happy when I’m working in the living room with this. LoL
😅🤣 she won't be happy but maybe understanding
I reloaded in my living room for several years...only TV was in the living room...lol
My components and tools were on an overhead projector stand. Press was/is mounted to an old desk.
Lol
😂😂😂🔥
All is well now, funny I found out she likes the smell of many cleaning fluids but the workbench from U-line just made the garage a good place to work. Now I just need a smart flat screen HA!
I was literally just thinking about how to make a portable build station or small workbench in our little townhouse, and then this pops up in my feed. Great timing!
Looks like Google can read minds now.. Great 😉
@@CoryHobbs2178 definitely suspect! ;)
Tip from a Home Depot employee: I've had many of those work benches come off the truck over the years and most of them had issues with the legs popping out of the storage clips on the back when banged around, sometimes snapping off the clips. Fortunately HD takes anything back
Congratulations brother! My baby girl is coming any day now!! I'm sure it's gonna be the best adventure we'll ever go through
My baby girl is 28 yrs old and I can tell you its an adventure alright !
From someone whose about to start building their AR I’m super happy with the fact your links are great it’s not hard . This is an AMAZING first setup and it’s gonna be cheaper then anything else I put time into and I’ll be able to take it places . I really appreciate videos like this. I’m gonna keep looking into other videos and try to find more links to parts and stuff !!
Can I make a suggestion on mounting your vise to the plywood? Use threaded T-nuts. You simply drill a straight hole through then hammer in the T-nut from below and buy regular hex bolts and washers and screw it down from the top. As you tighten down the bolts hard it will pull the T-nuts flush to the underside of your plywood. You just need to purchase the correct length hex bolts so they don’t protrude from the bottom of the board but that’s easy to find and you can use washers to fine tune the length. Way cleaner than your method with the wing nuts and super easy to take the vise on and off if needed even with the board mounted to the bench.
Great idea! Thank you.😊
For future reference to anyone who is using this table. I rarely use this for anything besides working on my AR. That center plate can be removed so you can easily just attach your vise to plywood without needing to hollow out the underside. It will drop right down through the center.
Does it have to be screwed into the table or does the table hold the plywood with the vise on it
I stumbled across your video, which I am extremely grateful for. I have had this kit now for about a month and learned things about it I didn't know. Thank you so much for the information. I also agree about the plastic picks, although mine have proven to be durable, so far.
I bought one at 2019 NRA - forgot I had it
Congratulations on the new baby - those are the best - don’t let them get old
You bought a baby at the NRA show, and forgot you had it? What??? 😣
Congratulations my friend on your baby. You're doing a great job. I love that kit. Keep up the good work.
I wish I knew about the kit sooner, but I have now purchased all the parts to build the work station cause I also have no space in garage, would do everything I could at dinner table and use a buddies vise. Now I have the work station that tucks away in the garage. Now I can do everything thing at home. Thank you so much for all the info.
Awesome video, thank you! I bought one of the Real Avid tool kits recently and am super happy with it. Didn't even realize the "full" capability of the set until watching this video, so now have gone from happy to ecstatic =) Now I need to get a table and mirror your setup. Very nice setup. Thanks again!
Great review I have been thinking about this kit and you helped me make the decision. What I like is having everything you need in one place. Keep up the great work
What a dope little kit!!!! Someone was thinking on that one. & well thought out indeed!!!!! Awesome & good to see ya again. Great video brother!
First off congrats on the baby. Very happy for you. Second off thank you so much. I've been on the edge about buying that kit and I'm putting one in my cart right now. That cleaning tool is also getting bought soon as well.
Can’t wait to see what u have because the last two I built were on the bathroom floor with all the drains closed and the toilet seat down so I didn’t lose and springs or detents
I have that same work bench. I was trying to figure out how to mount my reloader to it without drilling holes in it. I didn't know those clamps were there. Thanks for the tip.
to flimsy to load on...you will have problems
You sir are appreciated. Educating and informing todays and future patriots is clearly what you bring. I tip my hat and look forward to more of your vids.
Thank You, a great breakdown of the tool kit and I'm going to use your portable bench set up idea for myself.
I just wanna say this was an excellent, excellent review and description of what and how to use this kit. I want build one pretty soon and this is a must buy. Thank you!!
Wow congratulations to you two, awesome news. I saw this a couple of months ago, but honestly it looked like a cheap tool kit at first but I'm sure glad for your review!
This is one of the coolest kits on the market. Incredibly well thought out.
I've been needed a all in one solution to my AR bench. I mean I have most if not all the tools I need problem is I share a lot of those tools with other things I have going on. Having something I can just grab when I want to work on 1 of my rifle/pistols is nice.
Also Congrats on the new baby.
nice one stop shop kit. If that had been around years ago when i started i think I would have picked one up. But I've built a great smithing station over the years with high end tools, and i got a great practical education along the way. That was dozens of AR's-ago. Nice Vid. Thanks!
Thanks for the info on the shooters lube and bore snake picked this stuff up for my 19x work amazingly.👍
I like sawing and drilling holes in the living room furniture, so this kit would be right at home!😊
Great freakin' video! It's cool that you actually showed us how to use every tool in the set. I just bought one today. I can't wait!
Carrying it when you travel is also a real time saver. On the board, you could also carry a reloading set. So many ways to save cost and increasing versatility. Breaking something out in "the middle of nowhere" can ruin your day.
Awesome Video. I was thinking about doing this for my apartment. Thank you for this video and the links. Congratulations to you and your wife
Your channel is very helpful and entertaining. Thank you for all the great tips.
Another great video!
Congratulations on the new addition to your family!
Awesome review! Have been wanting a kit to start building and was in the fence. This should be a video for that company lol great job
Good stuff. Subbed. I was able to find four of the individual tools in that kit and bought them since I don't need roll pin punches, pics or specialty cleaning tools. I already have a multitude of AR-15 tools at hand and a dedicated work bench for assembly and reloading in my shop. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
Used my kit for the first time yesterday and loved every bit of it!
Congrats on the new addition to the family.Great kit.Maybe I can get one before my little one is born this January.
I bought this kit when I first saw this video. Wow is it worth it! Mind you I'm learning and I have way more to learn, the real avid kit is great! My brother in law and I have now built 4 AR's, one being a big bore set up. Tactical Toolbox, great content! Keep it up man! Now I'm building my own portable work bench. Wife took over the shed. 🤦🏻♂️
Gotta get a few more parts for my first AR.. had my eye on this set as a perfect start. And I’m already getting vision of the next one I want to build :) Thanks for the review.. so much to learn! (I’m guessing the kit doesn’t include a comprehensive video on its uses?)
Just found your channel. Lots of great tips for us new to the build game. Thanks for the work put into the vids. Subscribed.
Posted almost a year ago, this is one top-shelf video. Thank you so very much for making it.
Best video on having a hit to built or maintain an AR15. Love it. I am getting this kit plus the other items; hopefully for Xmas. Again, awesome vid. Thanks.😊
Why did it take me so long to find this channel. Outstanding content brother. 👍
Mainly cause YT does a swell job at censoring these types of CZcamsrs 🤦🏻♂️ so sad 😞
I appreciate this video. I found this kit at Primary Arms and got a hell of a deal. Keep up the awesome videos.
Congratulations on the baby!! And welcome back! Missed your videos!
Would you consider doing a step-by-step start to finish ar15 build on your full 30 channel using this new kit??
Kit is $189.99 on Big Daddy Unlimited at the time of posting
This was awesome. I love these kinds of videos. Also, congrats on the baby!!!
Thanks for this video! My father in law saw this and got it for me for Christmas and its really awesome!
I have that same Husky table, originally bought it to use with my miter saw. I have a router mounted in it, and use it with the router and the miter saw. My vise is mounted on the workbench that is fixed to the concrete wall of the basement though, so that frees up the router table.
Now that’s what I’m talking about! Love your videos man and congrats on the new addition.
Congrats on the baby! Parenthood is pretty awesome....challenging at times but very rewarding.
WOW amazing video brother I actually seen the kit at bass pro and was hesitant about buying it but after this awesome review im gonna go pick it up today this is something i will definitely be using in the future 👍🤜
I NEED this kit! I’m building multiple AR’s for experimental purposes. I’ve already shot four detects to who knows where. I have a way to make it work but I really could use another hand.
I knew You would have my answer. Thank You!
Just got my kit in the mail today. Thanks for the video and review which helped me decide on the purchase.
That's awesome man! Im really glad to hear the video was helpful for you
Gearing up for my 2nd build, nice bit of kit!
Thank you! This is exactly what I was thinking about, you read my mind.
Congratulations man, on the new addition to your family. Also congratulations on your new channel.
I love this tool set, especially the pivot pin detent tool. Holy crap it made installing that thing so easy.
Another con, just to split hairs, I do wish there were a few of the most common AR-related Allen wrenches, just to have a space within this one box to store them, but... that's not much of a con, since I already have so many at home, in the garage, in my car, in my range bag, etc...
New to the AR world...and your videos are very helpful!
I'm more impressed with the collapsible bench that you devised than the real-avid kit. Missing a crucial gauge, head space, imho. Nice review bro, keep 'em coming.
Just bought the same tool set and its awesome. I like work bench setup. I might do something like that too!
Hey man, thanks for the review of this kit. My wife got it for me for Christmas. It’s excellent, and I can’t wait to use it for next build. I’ve got a match receiver set from Wilson combat!
Congrats my friend! There is NOTHING stronger than family. Especially in times like now.
I just found your channel. THIS IS GREAT! I've never built one but I've been wanting to for a LONG time!

I like the idea of the kit a lot. There are some ingenious designs in there. Having said that, for 250 bucks I would expect less plastic. Let us know how those little plastic parts hold up brother!
Yes must have metal picks! Got a bcg the other day and when I took it apart the cotter spread apart quite a bit. Had to use a metal pick to line it back up to go through the second hole, I tried the plastic pick but it just kept bending
My Man.... Congratulations and God Bless your baby... all the best to you growing family...
This kit paid for itself immediately with the hammer and torque bar alone. Punches are decent. I also bought a hand torque driver for scope screws etc... I think I’m 90% there!
After building my AR a couple years ago. My conclusion is you only need 2 specialty tools. Something for the barrel nut and buffer castle but. And a tool that fits into the barrel action to torque the barrel nut.
Congrats on your baby! That seems like a really good kit, especially with how much you get for the money. My only recommendation would be this: Try to spend $100 to get the Midwest Industries URR (Universal receiver rod) it actually has a sail that goes where the gas key would go. It's a much better solution to ensure you don't break the barrel index pin or wallow out the receiver thread. You can also use it to make sure you have your barrel lined up properly with the upper receiver
That definitely looks like a suoerior rod, however, it appears that this one has a locking device/pin that serves the same function. And although aluminum won’t last as long as steel, you also don’t risk scratching or chipping the barrel with aluminum. But I’m a newbie so…
@@jnananinja7436I could understand where you're coming from. It'll get the job, but using aluminum for this application has some inherent issues. You'll appreciate the URR if you ever get your hands on it for the reasons mentioned above. Less chance of breaking your rifle and less chance of breaking your tool
One thing I’ve learned about “that one tool that does it all”, is that, it may do it all, but it doesn’t do it well. Great kit though!
True, but I don't think that this was made for someone who makes their living as a gunsmith. It seems like it's made for guys like me who would like a good start on tools, we can always add to what is there.
New subscriber. Excellent videos, extremely helpful and really like the links. Very cool presentation. Thank you. Look forward to watching more
Great information, looking foward to watching more.
They make some excellent stuff...I bought their punch set and rip cords to clean barrel....I will get this next.
Congratulations on the baby You do a great job at explaining things on all your videos your Going to be a great dad keep up the good work stay safe
Watch that torque wrench carefully or check it regularly for calibration but there are better ones. I bought myself a torque screwdriver and love it. Like you I’d tighten things down and call it good ,no more. Love your setup
Love your content bro thank you it keeps me going i do appreciate it 🙏
found you because I'm building my first AR, thanks for all the info
I have the same kit and honestly the plastic picks are my only complaint about it as well
You solved my problem. Too many rifles to work on and no place to work on them in my single room downtown condo. Thanks!
I bought one of these Real Avid sets and have even used some of the tools to assemble a number of builds. I recommend learning which tools you need and compiling them a la carte from high quality manufacturers. Many of the plastic Real Avid tools have already broken in only a few builds. Also, literally the first operation shown in the instruction manual highly recommends using go/no go headspace gauges. These gauges are NOT included in this set, but again, were central to the very first instruction shown. Save money and buy high quality US-made tools based on what you actually need to complete your build.
Good show! Thanks for sharing!
Congratulation on the new baby! Thats the only good thing to happen in 2020!
Avid makes great tools for the DYI Gun Guy. This Avid Armorers Kit is great to have to work on any firearm! A must have!!
Great video! I bought the Avid Master Armorers Kit as well. Great kit. I will however be the first to say, it does NOT come with everything you need. It has 95%- off the top of my head, it would be nice if they included a set of Allen Keys- as most gas blocks need them. Love the video, love the channel. Keep it up!
Dude, I just wanna say, I LOVE your channel & videos… Please never stop posting! 🥰❤️
Cool, modular table idea! I have most of these, Real Avid, tools already, when they came out with the kit! 😢 The hatchet style armorers wrench is good and bad. Its big and bulky, and does not fit EVERY application. But I like it. 😊 And you can catch the kits on sale, from time to time! And Real Avid make excellent quality tools. Most are multi functional, well thought out designs.
Awesome idea bro!!! thanks I needed this.
Bought that Real Avid kit kit for myself for Xmas. Did my 1st AR build with it. Might be the best $200 I ever spent.
Man you really care about your viewers! Thanks for all the work u put into your Video’s!
I liked this before it even got started, I love the channel that much! 🥰❤️
Just discovered your channel and gave you like. If I could, I would give you 👍👍👍👍👍 for your explanation and demonstration of everything in the master armorer's kit, rather than just pointing and saying this does this and this does that. 😊 I have never built an AR, but am thinking about it. I have decided that you will be on of my primary sources of information. 🤔👌
Wow you know i saw this kit online a little while ago and I was thinking about buying it but I didn’t and now I’m regretting it lol. At the time I didn’t realize it had all of the little things and details you mentioned. I’ll definitely have to pick one up before my next build, seems super fricken handy like it’d make my life a lot easier. Thanks for sharing this!
I think you did ok. Imo this kit is overpriced and most tools will be used up quick requiring replacement.
@@glmorten Hmm you think so? I’ve never really used any of their tools before so I have no idea what the quality or anything is like.
I gave that pivot pin tool a 1 star review on amazon. went through 3 of them and lost several detents before buying a metal tool.
Excellent video. Thank you.
Congratulations to you with the baby have a great day and take care man
Built my first ar15 80 assembly with that armorers kit. Its fantastic.
Congratulations on the baby buddy. Many blessings
The "Beam type" torque wrench, which is the type that came with that kit, is the most acurate type made. It is just a little harder to use than the others.
This is te most educational and inspirational Chanel that every gun lover must fallow
