Fun little story: my single mother knew I was having a not so merry Christmas (absentee father) so she decided to go to blockbuster and get me Jack Frost the cute movie where a dad dies but comes back to help his son and kinda just say goodbye. Well, she ended up getting Jack Frost the horror film with a serial killer who becomes a murderous snowman. I’ll never forget us both slowly coming to realize the film she rented was a horror film and that memory still makes me smile. She was so sad/disappointed and I just smiled and looked her in the eyes and told her she did her best and that’s all that matters. Happy holidays everyone! P.s. I watched a man melt in acid as a child and had pretty narly nightmares.

Same thing happened with my 9-year-old self and Little Shop of Horrors. My mum saw that it would be on TV that day and, assuming it was the 1986 musical, she set Foxtel to record it for me before going to work. I came home from school, went to watch it, and thought "Hmm, is it supposed to be black and white? I thought it'd be funny....where are the songs?"
Turns out it was actually the original film from 1960, which is a pitch black horror comedy and a lot more brutal and callous than the musical. It's a superb film and I appreciate the morbid humour as an adult but it was definitely not what little me was expecting. I'd always liked "spooky stuff" and the last scene scared me in such a way that I pursued other horror movies.
Sometimes mums make the best mistakes.

Partially the developer's fault. If the enemy is dead, stop the attack animation and their movement.

Fellow Texan! You understand! I remember when I was young, probably back in 02 or 03, maybe earlier, we had enough snow that my best friend and I could build a three foot snowman! This was at our future high school where our mom’s worked, and two mean high school boys knocked it over. :(
We barely get snow where I am, one time, it snowed and a kid made an actual snowman, he got put in the newspaper.

Game looks really chill. Being that kid, you don't think they'll stand a snowballs chance in hell, considering the abominable circumstances they are facing. You just gotta make sure you don't freeze up in the face of danger and don't end up in the cold cluches of your enemy. You sure made sure to make those snow men feel the freezer burn. In all actuality, for such a seemingly silly premise this is a really decently made survive the night game! For one, the mere fact that you use a hairdryer for defence is much more believable than a simple "the light scares them" tactic. The preparation periods are also refreshing, as they give you a bit more of a feeling that you're involved in the game. Rather than just throwing new mechanics at you while you remain trapped to one spot, you have the opportunity to actively prepare and understand. Getting to close the door when they open it is also a plus. The progression of difficulty felt pretty reasonable for survive the night. Overall this is definitely as enjoyable as Boogeyman in my opinion! Would appreciate if the interactivity (like the prep times) was also part of the later nights.

i also live in texas and the last time we had enough snow to make a 1' tall snowman was 8 years ago. of course it was completely melted by the afternoon but it was nice while it lasted.

Tips for building a snow man with less snow. Use a core or inner base. Could be a tree stump or overturned bucket(S). Anything to build around and you use less snow in the middle. ;)
