As someone that moved to Groningen, I loved how approachable the club is. They really do exist for their fans. I wanted to interview them for a study project, and sent an email to the general "info@.." email address. Within an hour, the Marketing Manager himself responded and we held a very long, very honest interview. An amazing club for the city. Just the football...is not great in the last years. But who cares about that, amirite? :D
Like a moth to a flame, er, lamp, insects are drawn to bright lights because they confuse the animals' navigational systems. It's a familiar sight, especially in the summertime: moths and other insects gathered around lights like lamps. Often, creatures entrained in such a glow get eaten by predators or overheat.

That journey from Amsterdam to Groningen just felt like it took forever. 3 hours ish. I have mixed opinions on Groningen. I liked the atmosphere when I went but I hated the stadium. It was just modern and soulless. In fact, there is very little difference between Zwolle and Groningen's stadium. I wish I could have experienced the old stadium. However, fans were great. Really enjoyed the noise. I regret not getting a Groningen top. I went in 2016 for a Friday night game. I saw Groningen 2-0 Roda JC.
If you get the chance and want to visit a good old skool ground in the Netherlands I feel Sparta Rotterdam and Feyenoord Rotterdam are worth a visit.
The atmosphere in Groningen changed a lot since 2016, its much better. Back than it was a little group in the right of the stand, its now the whole stand what is making the noise.
Moths use the moon to navigate, and they get confused by the lights and spend the night circling

You should do a football shirt hunting vid in Finland, they have a huge thrift shop culture. They'll probably have a lot of ice hockey jerseys but I've seen a lot of old football shirts in Tampere alone, Helsinki and Turku would be a good place to look as well

10:05 actually as an Ajax supporter I like watching the second division better than the Eredivisie (except Ajax of course). On Friday there’s there are 6-8 games going on at the same time and on tv they switch between the best moments of each game. Really fun to watch because you see regular screamers as well as amateur-like mistakes.

That light attracts moths is proverbial. “Drawn like a moth to a flame” we say of people with irresistible urges to check out something risky. Except that not all moth species are drawn to light, and for those that are nobody really knows why.
