#EltonJohn #CandleInTheWind #MarilynMonroe - Hudba
I don't think Elton and Bruce have ever done a song together. You take care of yourself Kristin! You're a very special precious person!♥️ 😎🎼🎵🎶🇨🇦
Thankyou for letting me know Dale... I always wonder if legends will work together one day... you are special too Dale... take care #BeSafe
There will never be another - thank you gorgeous girl for showcasing this to and audience that may never had seen this, but had to. xxx
When I was younger(and still but not as hard core), I was a huge Marilyn Monroe fan!! When this song came out, I just couldn't get enough of it. I haven't heard it in a long time. This brought back lots of memories.
I am so glad Dean-O... Elton.. has such a way w emotionally singing his music...
Shout out to one of the finest lyricists in the business and one of two that sealed my fate as a poet and lyricist, Mr. Bernie Taupin.
Elton is a genius with a huge heart!♥️🎼🎵🎶 Phenomenal song.
Absolutely beautiful master piece that will live on forever
I can’t understand a word he sings but it’s a great song. A classic.
Good choice baby
Another masterpiece from that same show is "Tonight". It's a fantastic arrangement with the orchestra.
Wauw Elton John1 of the best rockstar and performer and Bernie Taupin 1 of the songwriters in the world all the songs they given us!!!!great combo!!!!
They allmost could be Dutch 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
As with most of his songs, Elton John composed the music and Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics. The same is true for the 1997 version rewritten in honor of Princess Diana after her death.
👊❤️🗣AWW, Thankyou for letting me know 😅 I wasn’t certain 🙏💕
I see Groot :) What a legend Elton is and this entire story was truly sad and what a tribute it was to her. Love the line Candle Burned Out Long Before Your Legend Ever Did. It’s so true and yet so sad
the best version of sir elton john his voice is incroyable i'm fan since 1980 💛🧡💚5:31
To put this a bit in perspective, just before this concert Elton had been diagnosed with nodules on his vocal cords. He would need surgery to remove them, and it was very possible that he would never sing again. Though he was supposed to get the surgery immediately, he refused to cancel the tour because he didn't want to disappoint his fans. He also might have been thinking about this song more personally during the performance. This became the second time the song charted...the third being the Diana version.
😳🥺🗣WOW.. we never know how much an artist truly cares until we read something like this... Thankyou 🙏💕
safe to say, although marilyn felt alone, i for one would of given her a big cuddle and whispered in her ear 'there there lovely girl'
I much prefer the version he remade about Princess Diana. It feels alot more personal since he actually knew her. I think that version is the more popular one.
Sanna Olsson That is because you did not grow up with this one and do not have 40 years of memories of it. I was 11 when this came out let's say they are both popular.
It was bernie tuapin who wrote the lyrics in the 70s.i think both, elton and him had affection for marilyn monroe.
Thank-you for letting me know ☺️🙏 this is such a beautiful song.. a beautiful tribute
Luv ya KK you're the best!

@@KristinKali It's okay go live!!!
Kristin Kali Sweet girl thank you!! Like you say it takes genuine caring to see the wrong in treating Marilyn like a sex symbol even in her death. Your words and understanding of both Elton and the song are amazing.
👊❤️🗣Thankyou Isabel, it’s real caring... it’s beautiful to see such a moment like this captured 🙏💕
@@KristinKali It is indeed and it became timeless. I am the one who must say Thank You, I was 12 when this came out it has been with me all my life but you are so young and yet... :-)
when he did this song for princess Diana tho, that was great and sad
Yeah, I just posted that same sentiment, and a link for her if she should desire to hear it. STILL draws a tear to the eye, even after all these years. Elton John - Lady Diana - Candle in the wind (Goodbye Englands rose) czcams.com/video/OefdqK3jKi0/video.html
omg!!! that is so special.... and yes... that is very sad :(
Such a great song and the live version here sounds equally as good if not better than the studio version correct me if I'm wrong but I think this made no1 here in the uk 👌
oh wow!! I DID NOT know that IAN!! that is super cool!!
He played it at the memorial service for Diana didn't he?
Meine Postma 👊❤️😳🗣I totally blanked on that!! Jeffrey said Elton played that for Diana & that is that 😔
Reginald Dwight aka EltonJohn
When Princess Diana was killed, Elton John redid and renamed this song and played it at her wake.

Hope all is well with you and your loved ones.
OH Wow!!! i did not know that!! :0 that is so much tragedy :( Thankyou Jeffrey
When I was senior I was in a class called American Popular Culture and my class had to watched on of the movies she was in and I remember my teacher introducing this very song and told us the true meaning behind it. He told us that Marilyn Monroe wasn’t her real name which I’m not really surprised (many famous people change their names) but because of this no one really knew the real her which lead her to overdosing herself which killed her. It sad yes and I’m sorry for bringing it up but not many people younger know of this and I believe that they have the right to know.
This version no longer exists after a certain funeral.
You are right David.... Jeffrey Jones just clued me in... :(
I don't listen to the "new" version. I like this as it is.
