  • We continue working the mullock heaps of Inglewood, the first part of this video is day 2 of the our trip covered by the last video in this series. Then we move to a new location which we found by using the Trilobite App. I give a brief overview of the app and a tour of the location before we get to work finding nuggets using our GPX 6000 and GPZ 7000 detectors. We also carry out a review of two coils, the Coiltek Gold Hawk and the Nugget Finder Z Search. Finally we find a big gold nugget nearby and also a beautiful specimen go gold still in the quartz.. Gold detecting in Australia is a lot of fun, so is free camping on the Victorian Goldfields.

    Another great video. Thanks BK.
    I bought a Z search coil for my GPZ7000 a few months back. I'm loving it! Much better sensitivity than the standard coil and a lot lighter as well. Probably not as dynamite in shark stuff as the GPX6000 but it's $7000 cheaper!

    Wow. It has been a long time ago when I had inverted signal on my gpz. Well done mate 👏 👍

    Thanks BK and Eliza, another informative video. Thanks for the tips. Have you tried the Try Hard Prospecting map overlays in Trilobite? A great tool for the avid gold researcher.

    Great vid mate. Would've been interesting to test the 6000 on that 6 grammer. From what I've seen the 6000 lacks a bit of depth in the bigger ones. But makes up for it on the small stuff.

    • @BKGoldDetecting
      @BKGoldDetecting  Před 4 dny +1

      Thanks, I’m still a fan of the GPZ for bigger deeper targets but very impressed with the 6000 on small targets. The 6000 does still have good depth, but not quite as deep as the Zed in my opinion.

    Great video. Are you running normal or difficult on the Z?

    • @BKGoldDetecting
      @BKGoldDetecting  Před 4 dny

      During this video I’m running difficult, usually after I’ve gone over on difficult I would try normal if the ground looks like it could have very deep targets or if the ground is rocky and I can’t get my coil close enough to the ground. I ran out of time to try normal at this location, I will return one day.

    Loving your vids!!! your got my subscription!!!! I have a SDC2300, do you have any tips for these?? I don't seem to find anywhere near the amount you guys do...:(

    • @BKGoldDetecting
      @BKGoldDetecting  Před 2 dny +1

      Thanks Paul, I don’t use the SDC but I detect with someone who had one and it was super sensitive to shallow targets, which most are. The biggest tip I can give is that most gold is missed because users are not listening for the right sounds. A lot of the gold we find the signal is nothing more than a very slight change of frequency, not classic distinct sound like you hear on a lot of videos. Do a small area, remove rocks and sticks and move your coil very slowly directly on the ground and scrape if anything catches your attention. In my last video the big one at the end was almost impossible to hear on the surface, just a very slight drop in tone that repeated with several passes of the coil.
      Hope this helps. BK

    How does the 6000 handle the wet mineralised ground compared to the 7000?

    • @BKGoldDetecting
      @BKGoldDetecting  Před 2 dny

      It’s quite good but I think the GPZ is a bit better at discriminating ground noise, including wet ground.
