Nepal boasts having 8 of the 14 eight thousander peaks in the world. And there’s a spot inside Nepal that offers the views of all those Himalayan Giants except Mt. Dhaulagiri. That amazing vantage point is Pikey Peak, which lies in the lower Solu Region.
We were contacted by Nima Rinji Sherpa, our long time well wisher for the visit to Pikey Area. After connecting with Nawang Sherpa, Mama, we set out to Pikey right after the festival of Tihar.
Pikey Trek is a short trek, doable within 5-7 days. But it has wowed us since day one. The sunset from Dhaap, the stay at Lumding and the views from Pikey Peak are out of this world.
We are thankful to all our travel buddies for this journey, Nirwan Rai, Nawang Phuri Sherpa, Maiju, and the family of our dear friend Nima Rinji.

Keep promoting guys! Maybe because of your exposure, the local bodies would at the very least think of making proper roads, in hope of tourism.
Proper trekking route and lodging and accomodation should be given priority making roads doesnot promote tourism😂
@@sunil-nj1tv I will disagree on this. Not being rude to you in anyways, but tourists tend to give answers as:
"Yes, Nepal is beautiful. But the travel and by that I mean roads are horrendous and places are inaccessible. "
When asked would visit again, there is a hesitancy and a delayed answer as:
"Maybe, but it would be so much better, if you know, the places were properly accessible. If you have proper roads, then your costs for goods transport for running the lodge would decrease, and the overall price would be cheap.... I can almost have a fantastic 5 stars luxury in Maldives in Sri-Lanka, with the same amount of money here..... You guys should definitely press on proper roads. Trekking routes are awesome, but most of the places are simply inaccessible , and even if they are accessible, only during certain months.....If you want tourism to flourish, you need to cater the needs of the tourists too and in a justifiable cost......."
good roads to villages at trail heads, of course tourists would love that. but many times, really great trekking trails and old trails between villages are converted into roads and sometimes they're not even maintained properly. 😔
this goes without saying but if those places prefer roads rather than keep the trails, of course it's their decision and they know what's best for them but like mamfuli said, that doesn't promote tourism.
