Will never know for sure tho cause I only saw him as we were leaving

i just went for the first time about a month ago. got the country fried steak with gravy, eggs and fried apples on the side. along with biscuits and gravy. ofcourse it wasnt super gourmet or anything but i think thats the point. just straight forward, classic southern food. the interior and shop is iconic, classic and charming too. thats why i love it.
I just got off my shift as a dishwasher at my local Cracker Barrel lol I highly recommend going to the gift shop part if you want some interesting candy or other snacks
Cracker barrel is an experience, a special treat if u happen to be passing one, u enter a giftshop, the staff are nice, u play the stick game at the table while u wait, then ur order above average food with above average portions and pay a decent price, u leave so happy u buy something from the gift shop on the way out
Cracker Barrel SLAPS! Sitting in the rocking chairs is always nice and so is exploring the gift shop. You can be a young person and have an old person experience before being seated and eating. 😆
Cracker Barrel is one of the few sit-down restaurant chains I really like. Consistent quality every time and it's all good. Their Haddock meal with some dumplings and green beans was my favorite but I think it got removed.
Finally somebody talking about the chicken pot pie hot sauce combo. It's incredible! If you haven't done it, add some hot sauce on top of your chicken pot pies it's amazing.
As someone who started going about 2 years ago, I highly recommend it. The food is good, especially for the price, and the staff are very friendly. The gift shop and candy isles are huge bonuses too
Their cornbread muffins are way better than their biscuits and their chicken and dumplings are life ❤ AND their fried okra and their old fashioned bottled rootbeer
as a texan and a fat ass, the best part of cracker barrel in my opinion is the breakfast (and how cheap it is for the quality compared to other breakfast franchises) get the pancakes, and you gotta get gravy with the biscuits, that’s what makes the biscuits fire. (if you eat inside their complementary)
I like their pancakes the best. Their biscuits suck though so I always tell them bitty to include it so that it doesn't go to waste. I also loved their steak campfire meal, which you could also choose chicken. Sadly, it was discontinued permanently in 2019. Their sweet potato pancakes was also very good before being discontinued.
Their catfish is delicious, their greens are great. Should double cornbread with greens and do better than those pitiful green mini peppers in the jar. I always carry a small bottle of Chulula! So bomb!

I absolutely LOVE the " bacon & egg hashbrown casserole." ☺️😚☺️😚 sooooo freakn good! Make sure to get your egg over-light, the runny yolk just tops it off. 😋

Okay listen, I worked at an AM backup cook at Cracker Barrel in 2017 and sometimes as a little treat to us (usually two cooks) we'd take the crispy bits off the top of the hashbrown casserole when they come right out of the oven, OOOOOO they were so good. So the fact that HBR still has a crunch to it means it must have recently come out of the oven
