EDIT:1 more thing. A common ploy over there is for the local females to get you to drink and sleep with them, then call rape. It's a ploy for them to get you to pay them hush money. They take photos or videos, of the act and hold it as blackmail. Trust me, you don't want to mess with that headache.
Did you drink too much Soujo??? The best way to make E4 in Korea is to go there as an E5...lol
Have you heard of 21S ? My son works as a land Surveyor ! Do you know anyhing bout that mos
Real question: what is the point of going out and doing things? Talking about the first point. What are the negatives to being the “barracks rat?”
A variety of experience makes you a more interesting and knowledgeable person, at that time and in the future. Soldiers that are exposed to different experiences are more interesting to talk with and appear more knowledgeable.
Chris Silva I mean I understand that, but every now and then I’ll just sit around to learn more about things, mostly history. I also plan to keep doing school all the way to masters degree. Almost have my associates degree. I’m mostly wondering because right now I’m waiting on my waiver to get approved so hopefully I’ll be in the army next summer.
Lloyd Irving keep working at it and you’ll succeed. Good luck with all your future endeavors. I earned my BA and MBA in the Army. But don’t just hang out and study balance it with some fun too. Keep me posted on your career progression.
Chris Silva I will! Thank you for your interest in my boring life lol. The station commander sent up my med docs today so I should hear something back by 22 Nov
@@lloydaurion-gaming46 Also being the boring awkward guy can get you bullied as a new guy. When in doubt stay out of the Barracks on your off time. Go hang out at a coffee shop or a bar. Some book stores have coffee shops
Back when T-Rex still walked the earth, and I was a newly enlisted 17-year old soldier, I had lots of good advice from relatives who'd been through it before. Set an allotment to you mom, or someone else you can trust with your money, of maybe half your pay. WHEN you get those Article 15s, they can't touch the allotments, so you can still buy gas and get real haircuts close to payday!😉
#4 the 1st is on sunday so you get paid on friday. you wake up on saturday and you have a negative balance.
Every stripper is my girlfriend
This week i love her, next week she yours lol

Trying to figure out what the best branch is to join once I move to Florida next year 11B would definitely be my MOS if I join the army
why 11B ?
10:00 wouldnt it make more sense for NCO's to assign crappy details to the non complainers since most people wouldnt want to deal with horrible attitude 🤔
I’m #1 but without the bad habits lol
Stardust! Haha!
Bad Attitude = getting assigned to burning the s#!t barrel!!! As stated before "shut up, suck it up & drive on!" RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!!
6:28 Juicy girl in Korea...
That's the person who you hang out with who has the car rental so you could pay him for gas and he'll drive you all over the place
This sounds like a safety brief
What if you are going on line college and you have study.

I’m in highschool
Can’t wait when I graduate
I’m freshmen
Dude I have that tshirt!
Mind you you should be saving for retirement so by the time you get out of the military you should have enough to buy a house
Note to self save alot of money before enlisting
You know why this affects young, single males?
Young single females.
Good advice, but one correction (maybe more USMC-specific)
A "barracks rat" usually means a civilian girl who happens to fancy military guys, and can be found trolling barracks rooms for fuck-buddies.
Don't get married for the sole reason of getting BAH/BAS
Unless your command absolutely treats every single soldier like shit
Which is a better transition MOS 88M or MPs ?
mac burger thank you that helped me get a better idea of which MOS I would pick but it’s still more MOS out there
mac burger oh I just had to refresh my mind of the common MOS and definitely staying clear of that one! Haha 😆
mac burger I just watched a video of 88 kilo that in my perspective is the right MOS for me that would help me transition from army to firefighting.
I want tp join the army but my mom say no. I am 18 years old
If you’re 18 you don’t need her consent I don’t think dude
You are legal dude go do your country proud
