Important note: the inverter/converter is locked to 30 amps for shore power input. This means you cannot plug the 2024 Trade Wind into a 15 amp or 20 amp socket or a non-30 amp generator because the inverter/converter will always try to pull 30 amps. You cannot currently use a step-down adapter on the Trade Wind for any reason. You can, however, use a 30 to 50 dogbone adapter to plug into 50amp. I wanted to include this in my video but wanted to wait for Airstream verification before posting it.

The trade wind is just what I need for my style of camping, nice and rugged. Looks like Airstream put a lot of thought into it. It’s going to be interesting to see the type of reviews the trade wind receives after it has been put to the test. Wonder what the future of the trade wind will be, trade wind relaxed edition perhaps?! Lol!! Great video like always!! Thanks for sharing.
Love the change in the handle and the latch for the screen door. Might get a latch to see if I can retro my Flying Cloud.

also, I'm amazed at the battery placement. they could have put them in the front storage for access. the solid state controllers could go in the subfloor box, freeing up the storage under the seats and possibly that sleeping spot.

I have the new door handle on my 2024 International 23 FB twin. I came on the line late January. I was a bit surprised to have see it when it was delivered. First I was concerned that it was plastic, but it actually black metal. We will see if its an upgrade or not

Great thing about TW is that the extra cost of $16k over FC can be recouped with campground utilities fees and fuel for travel since you can stay boondocking longer. Never mind the better cabinetry, faucet, refrigerator, profane monitor, led/lights, sound system, wheels, jack, etc. Would probably take less than 5 years to do so as long as you take advantage of it often enough. The same thing could not be said of PB 😅
I 100% agree with you this! Also, the resale value will include all of the power systems. If you did it aftermarket it's a whole lot harder to include it and it will not be include on the book.
@@ChadsRVReviews Even forgot about that! I'm wondering though, does it still have the same capacity of black water if composting option is added? It shouldn't be right? Maybe more space for fresh/gray water?
Airstreams are nice quality but they seem to have the least amount of walking space or storage space. So many seats! I would like to buy one that is mostly empty inside.

Like the lift but did airstream increase the length of the stabilizer? Do you think Airstream will offer a second AC unit. It looks like space for a second AC units could be a little short. I really like the inside color of the woodwork. This will be a good seller for the off road campers.
The Trade Wind is designed to be a fully self-contained unit for those times when you are intentionally (or unintentionally) off the grid. A 2nd roof top AC would drastically reduce capacity of the batteries.
I think AS did a great job with this unit and keeping it at a 25' design, and not building off of the 23' Flying Cloud.
They didn’t increase the length of the Stabilizer. Not sure if they will add a 2nd AC in option the future.

Chad, can you go over the cargo capacity again, Is the number you gave including a tank of fresh water?
It doesn’t include any fluids. That sticker is showing the cargo capacity based on what the trailer actually weighed at the factory when it came off-line.
@@ChadsRVReviewswhat uses up the extra weight? I thought mine would be 6200 lb dry and 7300 lb GVWR?
@@johnbahns2951 I wonder if the 1100 that is published is without any options. How much does the hatch add in weight? The awning package? The microwave/convection. Doesn't seem like it should be those would weigh 320 lbs but who knows. My truck payload is reduced by some of my features so wouldn't it be the same situation?
