Layering Trees To Create Depth In Your Landscape Painting

Working with a landscape of trees can be a little overwhelming. In this video I walk you through how to handle this difficult subject and end up with a painting that becomes a landscape painting you can enjoy painting.

This is one of my favorite videos of yours so far. I’m always trying to get a muddy image to become organized.
I’d love if you made a video that was a checklist:
Foreground: darkest darks, most variety of small value shapes, highest saturation colors…
Background, colors lack yellow and red, lowest contrast between darks/ lights…
It’s just hard to remember all the general guidelines for for/mid/background.
