Queen and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex arrive at Runcorn station and visit Widnes

- Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has begun her first official visit with the Queen, arriving in Cheshire by royal train. The royal visitors stepped onto the blustery platform at Runcorn station to be welcomed with polite handshakes and curtsies from local dignitaries - and wild cheering and applause from hundreds of flag-waving schoolchildren. Later the pair chatted as they enjoyed a musical performance by children in the grounds of the Catalyst Museum in Widnes. Report by Matt Blair.

This video clearly represents how supportive the Queen is of her family members. They are both very comfortable with each other which is how things should be. I don’t believe the Queen to be a stuffy person. She has always come across as a friendly and accommodating Queen. And Meghan is keen to do things right and well. She’s doing fabulous! Two beautiful ladies doing what they do best - supporting the people.
