  • I've always wanted to try photographing a full wedding day with a phone camera and the Xperia Pro-I seemed like a solid time to give it a try.

      Ignore what some CZcams "reviewers" claim. They have no idea what they are talking about. As in they don't know how a camera works. And certainly have no idea how anything that isn't an iphone works. I bought an Xperia because I wanted a more camera like experience. And from my experience it absolutely delivers.

    I think the true comparison would be how much better does this camera perform in this same situation vs another flagship phone (Apple/Samsung)? If those phones are able to perform as well, then it has missed its mark. Those phones have full control as well (not sure in terms of the editing software on the phone though). They can control the trinity items and focusing and white balance.

    It seems most images off a cell phone (or any camera) can look great on the internet. I have a Sony Rx100 (same 1 inch sensor and Zeiss lens) and the hand held images I get off that can be enlarged well past 48 inches wide and still are tack sharp with great color and no wide angle distortion. Can the Xperia match that?

    • @benjhaisch
      @benjhaisch  Před rokem +1

      There are use cases where it could, but if you're hoping to print that large, a dedicated camera would most likely be the best bet anyway.

    The phone is definitely respectable, but to be honest, it's still nowhere near up to par. Even in the video (which is much smaller and compressed than seeing a full size jpg or raw) I could tell it struggles with dynamic range and what not. I think that it may as well be the lens more than the sensor, you just can't really fit a good lens that properly renders light in a package this small. This is no criticism on your skill that is to say, the shots were as good as anyone would get with such a device.
