1. Steven and peridot fusion
2. Steven!! And!! Connie!! Finally!! Together!!
3. Steven and Connie in school,i'm pretty sure he's finally enrolled considering they thought there were no more big threats coming now that they were done with the diamonds.
4. i'd love to see more interactions between bismuth and other gems. I ship her with pearl or lapis,both seem like nice ships to me.

I agree. There should be something happening in the present and then something like _two years earlier_ that tells the origin of that thing, and some character development that resulted in a relationship we see in the film or something

I don’t think season 6 would be before the movie. To me that kinda seems stupid. I think they’ll make it come after the movie, with maybe a couple moments flashbacked to that were during the timeskip.
They could do flashback.
CD 2021 that’s exactly what I said in another comment. I think lapis and peridot have learned to fuse over the time lapse, and bismuth would need help with something and be like “hey lapis, can you get(fusion name) to help me out” and then they fuse or something

I just love noticing how throughout the Steven Universe fandom and community how before change your mind all everyone talked about was rose quartz / pink diamond but after pink Steven we all finally realize that she's truly gone and now the show is truly just Steven and nobody talks about pink diamond/ rose quartz anymore... And I think it's great because Steven deserves to be his own person
Season 6 is gonna be a mix of new adventures and "here's how we got here" episodes.

I have my own theory about why Bismuth seems to be working with Lapis and Peridot. The B-Team. Remember the episode where Connie, Peridot, and Lapis joined forces to take care of Beach City while the Crystal Gems were gone? They unite once more, adding Bismuth to the team as the muscle, and go on their own adventures. That's what I'm hoping for anyways.
What if the b team hunt corrupted gems they didn't find and bubble already and they bond through those missions

I'd imagine that the season largely takes place after the movie, but there could be some "flashback" eps to the two years in between or new issues that are continuations of old ones. I've found that when you take care of your biggest issue new ones might take it's place or happen as a side effect. I feel like there could be some of those that cropped up that might be dealt with in those two years. This also might be the reason Steven was off world. Since the series is from his perspective, then there could be more personal developments or things that weren't told to him he'll be learning about at the same pace as the audience.
As for what Steven got up to, I'm sure that whatever races were involved in the Diamonds conquering, if at peace, will still have growing pains, bringing them back into the plot perhaps. Also he'd probably want to fill everyone in on what went on. Personally, while I find that interesting, it feels a little tedious to keep stretching out the arc that led up to Change Your Mind. It'd drag out the decline between the climax and the end a little much imo. There will always be a bigger threat and fast forwarding to that instead of what would probz be endless diplomacy seems like a good call.
Either way, flashback episodes seem really likely for plot relevant stuff or smth.
i think it’s all gonna be after the movie. this will give the crewniverse opportunity to create a book or comic series about the events between change your mind and the movie

Edit: The series first came out in 2013-ish. Steven is about 13 at the series start. He probably would have been born in 1999 or in 2000. The movie is a two year time skip. So, the movie probably takes place in 2016

Another thing to think about is how all those uncorrupted crystal gems' relationships develop with Steven. I'm sure some would miss Rose and resent Steven for existing, be furious with Rose and have a budding relationship with Steven but refuses to acknowledge his identity as Pink Diamond/ formerly Rose, and everything in between. Heck, I'm sure Pearl will go through the same kind of thing, with some Gems resenting her for hiding/ siding with Rose (regardless if Pearl was at fault for not telling them). In any case, I feel like the 'bomb' episodes would work well with mini-arcs that jump back to the past/ in-between Change Your Mind and the movie timeline. You can get a mini arc where it's also appropriate and builds up to jumping back.

Honestly, we need a new enemy. After the Movie, we need an enemy for the Gems to fight against. Something that White Diamond knew (and forgot) about from over 10K years ago and now their back to either take revenge, resume the war, etc... maybe even Yellow and Blue Diamond also knew (and forgot) since Yellow's the leader of a Military, so why not have the Military to fight an adversary, not just colonization.

I hope it's before the movie, there are a lot of moments I want to see like Lapis confronting Bismuth, Peridot forgiving Lapis, and Jasper's redemption that wouldn't be touched on in the post timeskip.

I think some of those pre-two year events are gonna be saved for graphic novels/comics. Like getting to know the corrupted gems or Steven thinking about leaving earth to save other planets.
Rebecca Sugar has basicly said that the show as we know it is done, so it is entirely possible that we could get a season for those two years before the movie, and we see the Crystal Gems build the Gem Town and interact with the uncorrupted gems, maybe even redeem Jasper, while Steven is off on his space adventures
I think season 6 is going to take place after the movie, but I think episodes set during or after the timeskip (similar to Ben 10 Onmiverse or We Bare Bears) could actually work.
I think Season 6 will focus on new adventures, new battles with old rivals, and new Crystal Gems will be added to the team.

The 6th season is gonna take place after the movie but will reference the past a lot. Especially with the scenes Spinel will be in for the simple fact we don't know all that much about her except for what was shown in the movie. So they're probably gonna show a lot of moments of her past of when she was first made for Pink to when Pink decided to abandon her.
Most of the questions people have been asking will probably get answered and there will certainly be a few new fusions and even new gems. I also feel like the surviving organic life of other planets that got colonized will be the main antagonists which will make an appearnece when Steven and the Crystal gems visit another planet for whatever reason. Theyre probably also gonna have a final, ultimate timeskip in the last episode where Steven and Connie are telling their child(dren) their story. By that time, everything will at peace throughout the whole galaxy.

I just made a comment on Lea's vid but yeah, I think mainly the next season will take place after the movie with some episodes taking place during the timeskip. If Lars and Sadie are together in the movie, I'd definitely hope we'd get an episode showing us how that happened. It would be nice to stray from Steven's perspective finally and no longer have episodes talking about this from the past told as a story to him and just happen (Amethyst origin episode?)

What's gonna happen to the humans from Pink Diamond's Zoo during post Change Your Mind
I feel that the episodes that in between CYM and the movie would be like the Rose and Greg episodes where they are like flashback episodes to look at the particular moments in Steven's life of dismantling the empire and some of the plot threads with Lapis, Peridot, Bismuth, Jasper, and all of the other gems
Season 6 may be everything that happened between change your mind and the movie. Maybe not, but hey, it was just a thought

Given this insight I could see future episodes of SU playing like Once Upon A Time. Where an issue arises in the present but is contextualized in past cut scenes. And given the length of episode I could see them separating these plots like we bare bears. And I loved both series and those back and forth and answering questions in that style was my favorite part of both shows!

I took Rebecca’s meaning to be that “Certain storylines cannot be wrapped up in just two years and must extend farther into the timeline,” as opposed to “Certain storylines can’t be wrapped up two years in the future and must be addressed sooner in the timeline.” Ya feel me?
