Lake Effect Snow Event-Travel Accidents-Feb. 18th, 2024

An intense band of lake effect snow developed over metro Buffalo and the northern suburbs. The band produced 1"+ an hour snowfall rates with very high winds in the beginning of the event. This caught many off guard and created very slippery travel across the roads across WNY. Total snowfall accumulations of up to 10" across the Buffalo Northtowns.
