CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Dominic (Vin Diesel) challenges Brian (Paul Walker) to one final race, but neither one of them expect the obstacles that get in their way.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A magazine article about real-life car racing gangs for Vibe becomes this fast-paced automotive thriller from director Rob Cohen. Paul Walker stars as Brian O'Conner, a youthful FBI agent investigating a series of hijackings by going undercover with a street gang led by charismatic Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel). Caught up in Toretto's world of gang conflict that is resolved in late-night car races, Spindler starts to sympathize with his chief suspect and falls in love with Toretto's younger sister Mia (Jordana Brewster). In the meantime, Spindler initially suspects the wrong gang of complicity in the crimes he's probing, while Toretto remains involved in a forbidden romance, à la Romeo and Juliet, with his girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). The Fast and the Furious co-stars Ted Levine, Rick Yune, and Matt Schulze.

16 years later and this scene still puts me on the edge of my seat. I love the fact there's no music or any talking in the background just raw engine noise and exhaust!!!

That’s what I call no talking asmr
Back when Dom was human. Now he's fighting nuclear missiles with his car.
Yup, the franchise has become a parody.
JOE MOMMA it was a heatseeking missile
That stuff is all in the past. Let it go. Besides, the Fast and Furious saga was never about street racing. It's about never turning your back on family, even when they do. Something you wouldn't understand, since you just watch the racing.
@@DaquanHarrison in the past it was about racing and family and action but now after Paul has died (r.i.p) the fast and furious movies has became only action movies there are no races it's all about action now
Yeahy i like seeing races frfr

FF9: Dom has a flying car and deflects bullets with pistols
FF11: Dom grows hair
Growing hair? I know the series is unrealistic but that is just passing possible. That’d be a terrible movie.

Always makes me laugh seeing the Supra hit the nos just to keep up with a supercharged 900+ hp monster.
That Charger was producing 1,500bhp in reality it actually scared the stunt man driving it
W/o the Nitro the supra is irrelevant against the Charger

2:34 Stunt driver helmet
2:39 Jurassic Park T-Rex roar
you're right! lol. So..best guess on the fireball of an explosion on the side of Dom's engine? nothing i can think of would cause that. right before it happens, we see a shot of the oil gauge..but the pressure doesn't drop, it goes up a bit. but a blown oil cooler line wouldn't make weird noises before it happened..wouldn't cause a fireball..or make the engine run funny beforehand. I got nothing.
Sounds more like Chewbacca to me lol
its gotta be exhaust gasket
You're right. I saw the helmet in doms charger and heard the T-rex roar while the car is rolling
The T-rex roar is obviously the Supra engine😉
Literally no one is talking about how fast that train was going lol

@Abraham Machuca j??
I originally saw this movie in theaters when I was 13 back in 2001. Best movie out of them all by far.
Tokyo Drift? Ahhh Tokyo Drift is always best along with this. Best movies.
SaggyHUGGIES123 Tokyo drift sucked haha...I actually went to the movies to see THAT with my cousins an none of us liked it. Shit sucked hella bad....only part my cousin liked was the part when lil Romeo showed his green car haha.
Nope. Tokyo Drift is best and you can't deny it. You don't know however I do. I say it's good and you don't know what you are talking about.
I wouldn't say "by far" ... but yeah.
SaggyHUGGIES123 Tokyo drift has an awful cast as was supposed to be the last movie before they revamped the series. They said it publicly
Multiple awesome cars were destroyed throughout this franchise, but this crash scene, and Han's RX7 crash scene got to me the most
Alex.2001 ok fanboy
The Lykan Hypersport from Furious 7 got me the most to be honest. I mean, I know it's fake but imagine destroying a really expensive car (And what I mean by that is really expensive) that only 6 of those cars are sold worldwide.
Stunt cars
Its so weird how the new fast and furious movies are to this. The older ones will always be the best.

This scene is utterly horrible to anyone who knows anything about cars. It may as well be a flying car in space.

When that Supra makes the turn.. that sounddd!

If that shot is in slow motion, that train must be hitting Mach 2
haha.. good one bro

Exactly. One of the trailers of the movie even shows this scene unedited, without the train.
An underrated part of this scene the use of reflections. I love how the two cars are reflected in the light before it turns green. Then how the Supra is reflected in the Black glass paint of Charger throughout the race is an absolute work of art.
One of my favorite scenes from any movie. This movie was a big part of my childhood. I looked up to Paul Walker as a kid and wanted to be just like him. RIP Paul Walker.

Anyone notice that this movie is all about drag racing, 2 fast 2 furious is all about circuit racing, Tokyo Drift is all about drift racing, and Fast And Furious 4 is all about sprint racing? (movie five and six is all about gunplay.)
7 and 8 is mission impossible
throws a rod, still running and still pulls ahead.
because racecar
4 speed and the movie makes it look like an 8 speed
21 years later and this is still a masterpiece
It's not just the fact that they were actually racing. It's the editing, the cinematography, the lack of music. The palpable tension of the gear changes, mechanical failures and increasing sense of speed, all leading up to that iconic shot of the jump across the rails. It feels gritty, surreal, like you're actually holding on to dear life in a rush of adrenaline.
Compare this to now: a cartoon with real-life action figures. That's how much this franchise has devolved.
1/4 mile in F&F=50 airplane runways
Fake.... If Dukes of Hazard has taught us anything, it's that 1968-70 Chargers are indestructible and can jump anything. That Charger should have completed that corkscrew jump, landed on all fours, and wheelied off into the sunset.

Just watched this on USA and it was so weird and trippy watching the credits just seeing where im at in my life right now and remembering where I was and how everything was when this movie first came out and just seeing how much changed since then
Yea its weird. People went from buying hondas and hooking them up to abonch of pricks who buy expensive cars and thnk they are better then u.
Many people say that if FAF kept the tunner cars and the street racing it would get boring really quick.Thats not true because if they still mixed action with tunner street racing like in the first three movies, the franchise would've sold A LOT more. Some of my friends said that FAF changed because of The Rock but that wasn't the case.Hobbs could've been portrayed like a character similar to Cross from Need For Speed Most Wanted and Carbon.Universal could've used his character as a cop who hates racers with utter passion and wants to put an end to street racing. They even could've made his own iconic cop car like how Cross has his Corvette.Such a wasted potential for these series only because people sell themselves to Vin Diesel,John Cena,Jason Stattham and The Rock.
When I was 6 years old I would sit and watch my dad (rest in peace) fast and furious, this was the best scene of all...
