At least in TN, students are spared from being sent to the 'Kota factory' under the pretext of ''IIT preparation'. The avg engineering colleges here in TN are far far better than the ones elsewhere.

IIT students by the end of 4th year must innovate/ improve something to ameliorate the system, life and world. 👍🍎🌸
Studying at an IIT doesn't make you a top notch engineer. It just makes you a hot cake at the job market and marriage market for prospective companies/families where you get an upper hand at negotiations - be it salary or dowry. First know that.

Seriously, wonder why this 'weather' thing is always included in any discussion about Chennai. I am tired of hearing the same rhetorical question asked repeatedly.
To those who criticize Chennai's weather, check how hot Hyderabad gets in Summer, how cold Delhi gets in winter, how rainy Mumbai gets in June or how dirty Kolkata is in general. Not to forget the horrible climate at the foreign cities: Cold in London, Snow in Toronto, Heat in Dubai or Humidity in Singapore etc.
