Brings back memories .... UM class of 1971.... I was a prop manager when I took a Greek Drama class. It was a blast.
I did a guided and self tour of Michigan today! I’m a junior and University of Michigan is my dream school. On my self tour at the Walgreen I had a lovely conversation with a sophomore named Stephanie because I saw her talking with who I at the time recognized as “Happy Camper”. He, Austin, invited me to sit in during a preparation session for upcoming Senior Showcase (I believe) with Professor Jason DeBord and MT Chair, Michael (arms like a bolder) McElroy. It was a wonderful time seeing the two guid their students in honing their craft and giving notes. Afterwards I also got to talk to a lot of other seniors who were extremely kind and helpful. I also got like three hugs and felt like I was at Disney Land. I cannot wait to see where these people go in life and hope one day I can be where they are.

but the transcript really doesnt help deaf and hoh people in real time because it massively shrinks the screen size. captions/subtitles are the accesible option so we can all enjoy the content in the same way, and not give disabled people the lame, afterthought of a second rate experience

How did the senior entrance originate? My class (95) didn’t do this. We were first NYC senior showcase though.
If I’m not mistaken the tradition started with the class of 2007? Their video is up on Andrew Keenan-Bolger’s channel!

Hey Eric! For those who didn’t go to UofM, this grew out of a long-standing fall department meeting tradition, where Brent Wagner would ask each student to introduce themselves and BRIEFLY say where they were from & how they spent the summer. Seniors, of course - thrilled to finally be seniors - were known to elaborate a bit… and that led to Andrew Keenan-Bolger’s class (2007) who became the first to musicalize their intros.
