That's probably collectively the most chill group of cats I've ever seen.
Cats are usually very social, unless they were taken away from their mother before they are 15 weeks old. It's such a cruel practice supposed cat lopers do.

That's pretty common. I've had cats my whole life. Vats from litters, 1 from a pet shop and the rest rescues. Cats are calm animals who sleep 18 hours/day and spend the rest cleaning and cuddling

Main coons are especially chill. The ones I had were fine with other kittens, puppies, and took up sleeping in the crib with my son as a baby.

Love Sirius! “I’ll just try a hiss and see what this big guy has to say!” And the big guy said: nice to meet you too. No drama, no startles, Buster didn’t do anything mom wouldn’t have done, and they all got to give him a good sniff. All around successful day, I think! 🇨🇦💕 and, Buster got a snack and a nap.
It's okay, youngsters, Uncle Buster is the best! He can teach you all about the wonders of the box - as long as you don't try to take his.

A little timid, a little shy, but Buster is a gentle giant and once the siblings get more adventurous, he will have to engage, somehow - licking their fur for starters! That's a great cat-uncle right there!
Buster seemed more nervous than the kittens 😹. But it looked like a good first contact, they are all curious but cautious without being too spicy. Maine Coons are so chill.
Orion did such a good impression of Buster's face at first that Buster had to walk away in shock

Buster looked at each kitten close, and he's like they ain't mine, dont look a thing like me...but then he had that confused look like he was thinking there was that cute kittie i met in the kittie cafe...🤔
Buster has taught them their first two lessons:
1) eat your kitten kibble to grow up big and strong, and
2) I am brave, strong and secure enough to sleep without fear, even trapped here with the three of you.

Neither the kittens nor Buster seemed to be overly concerned about the meeting. The kittens did seem to be curious about this big stranger in their room. They don't realize yet how important Buster is gonna be in their lives. By this time next week, we will have our new Maine Coon kitten. Then I will be introducing her to our 2 Ragdolls. What fun.

@Maine_Coon_Kittens This post is a lot later. We picked up our 14 week Coonie yesterday. She's a wild woman. She never stops. She's beautiful and lots of fun. As she grows and settles down a bit, she's gonna be a loving kitty. We love her already.

Wonderful 1st step..Sirius, Orion and Aurora dont seem to be afraid of Uncle Buster.interesting Sirius took the 1st close up of Buster i thought it would be Orion..some one (in the comments)suggested Freya joining in when it feels right.. as usual it was special for me to see the 1st real encounter🥰🥰🥰
Maybe having Freya in the room with Buster would help. The kittens know her and are comfortable with her. See her interact with Buster possibly calm their fears.

Yes, anything would be better than the unnatural situation of closing all those felines into one small room and expecting miracles. Especially since they'd already 'met' through the door.
Let them all have the run of the whole house and discover each other on their own terms.

At 2:15 Uncle Big Man said "Oh my, would you look at this little one of us, it's a child" (check out Uncle's face and reaction)LOL & at 4:00 Uncle said "I need time alone to think about the additions to the family" I agree uncle is a gorgeous🤴🤴

Uncle Buster is a pro at reading the room and knowing to back off a bit for this first meeting. The kittens are gorgeous. I’m hoping to add a kitten sometime later this year. My current Maine Coon has such a sweet personality, she would love the company.
i never had a mainecoon till 3 years ago and its the best decision i ever did. i have 6 cats and they are great. uncle buster and those kittens are beautiful.

Yes, I did have to take Luna to another room so that the meeting could go smoothly without any conflict. But they will all get used to the situation very soon, I'm sure 🙂

How funny😂. These kittens thought that meeting Uncle Buster they were going to have a great kitty playing time. And what does Uncle Buster do? He just jumps down and starts eating. And then chills on the bed while "Little kittens" just stare and think "This is it"!! Absolutely hilliarous!! What a funny and great introduction. But I know in the back of these little kittens they are thinking " we are going to get over on Uncle Buster he is too much a softy"!!! Uncle Buster is such a kind beautiful cat. And these beautiful kittens are going to keep him very busy!! Brilliant ❣️❣️
I have been waiting for this meeting! Buster is my favorite online Maine Coon cat on CZcams and I loved how well he and Freya's siblings got along. They loved him and these little kitties will love him too.
