- I finally bought a Taurus G3C. The price was too good to pass up.
I had not planned to buy one because I have Polymer Striker fired pistols already, but I couldn’t pass up the price, and now I get to see what everyone raves about

This was my first 9mm. My normal carry gun is a Kimber Micro 1911, in .380, which is the caliber of all my carry guns. For a Taurus, I have been most impressed. Totally worth the $250 price.
Thanks for the review, I have taurus g3 and I love very much. Here in Thailand because gun or pistal is very expensive if compare with US. We have to pay around 1,800 usd for Taurus G3 or G3c.
A 80% Taurus G3,G3c etc would be a game changer considering they offer their TORO slide for around $150. Love that Taurus is listening to their customers

Excellent Review. You covered everything. One extra though for the G3C and other G Series Guns, is that they will accept Sig P223 Magazines if you have a P223 also or just some old P223 Mags laying around. Myself and others have noticed also that the G3C shoots better and more accurately with heavier 147 grain and +P Ammo for some reason. All G Series are rated for +P.

Good video. I just bought one of these last month from Palmetto State armory for $225. After a $25 rebate basically two hundred bucks. I wasn't even looking for this gun I just saw it on their website when I was purchasing some AR stuff. I see a lot of channels calling this an entry-level pistol but I beg to differ. I love this little gun it shoots great it's easy to carry, and so far has taken any ammo I put in it.
I wasn't looking to buy one either, but for the price, and with the reputation of reliability, how could one go wrong buying one? Like you, mine will eat anything I put in it, it's reliable, upgradeable, mags are easy to find, and its not a bad carry piece.

I bought a G3c and love it. The price for sure, is very low! Unfortunately, my G3c only came with 2 mags. I dont care, its a fantastic gun!
I get more mags but only 10 round mags because my state is stupid
The G3c will accept the G3 15 and 17 rd mags. I bought a 15 rd for my G2c and have hadn't had any problems.

Also the Sig P223 mags 15 rounds will fit and work in the G3C.... There are 10 round Sig P223 Mags as well for California etc... that will pop right in.
I got the g2 and have shot around 5k through it only complaint I have is finish isnt that great. I cant complain other than that I only gave 200 for it. I have glocks and a shield far as accuracy and being dependable that taurus is 👍🏼

I took it out this last weekend. I put 250 rounds through it, mostly steel cased, I ended up with a banana shape of the target missing at 10 yards. I’m very impressed with it! Reliable, accurate, easy to shoot… don’t have much bad to say about it. I put a video up a few days ago if you wanna check it out
And forget the price overall if it was $400 it's still be well worth it
Yeah but it wouldn’t feel like as good of a deal. When you get into the $400 price range there are better options
Just bought a G3c no safety. The finish seemed rough on the slide and barrel. I cleaned it and tried cycling a few FMJ's thru it ,did ok. Tried 1 Underwood Defender and the slide wouldn't come back. 3 tries later,I found that the casing was stuck in the chamber extracter on it's rim. Polished thw feed ramp and chamber really good. Rounds seem to work now. Tomorrow I'm going to indoor range to put some rounds thru. My PT111G2 was finished nicer out the box and continues to be 100% after the last 6/7 years.
You tried cycling them through the action manually or you shot them? The action of a gun cycling rounds manually versus firing them is very different, also you really should not cycle live rounds through a gun in your house, that’s how a lot of negligent discharges happen
My local rural king has these on sale for a mere $229 and with an improved trigger and 3 12 round mags I just can't turn it down. It will be my next purchase. But there are some minor problems with this model. Drift only back sights. I cant figure out why taurus would take away the fully adjustable back sights. Most of the videos I've seen on this gun it shoots low to the left with no way to adjust for elevation. Of course you can spend more money for glock sights but then the gun wouldnt be such a great deal. Also it would be nice if the gun had a full length slide rail like the gx4 i feel the gun would be more solid. Of course this is only my opinion
You can buy upgraded sights on their website. And a optic ready slide too I think
Ive found that if you use heavier 124 and 147 grain and +P Ammo it makes it more accuarate. Luckily it easily eats cheap Steel, Aluminum, and even Reman Ammo and spits them out unlike many fussier expensive brand Guns. Can buy cheap +P and 147 grain all day long and shoot better.
Love that Taurus dropped the red dot indicator on safety. Even better!

Love Mt pt111g2 no failures and I've done all kinds of upgrades to it including fiber optic sights and a armalaser these are great guns for the price for sure.
They’re not much more than bottom rung firearms, but these are way better quality, upgradable, and they just run!

I just got the Ruger L C R .22LR at a local pawn shop, shot once, so "used". In perfect condition with the factory box and lock for $ 439.00
I've been giving it a workout on my range and am very pleased with this pocket revolver. 8rds of .22lr in a small, light package.
That’s a good deal, that’s what I paid for my 22wmr LCR at the beginning of the plandemic. Have not seen a 22 LCR for under $600 around me lately

Had a G2C.....loved it. Sold it for $25 profit...THEN the shit hit the fan regarding firearms sales. About a year ago was looking for a G3C...and BINGO! Taurus brought out the G3C T.O.R.O. $290 tax included out the door. Crimson Trace S550. Tritium sites that co-witness. Hell ya! Perfection without the 'G'! You did not mention that the G3 series take Glock sites! Now, I have customized 1911s that are worth 5 times this G3C and have had a new SIG 228 that was junk,,,,, For myself, mine just does not have me spending more money for bragging rights. Very good comparison with other actions, BTW. See you at the range!
Yeah the TORO is pretty cool, but I don’t carry with optics. For those of us that bought these they offer a slide upgrade that has the cutout for optics
Nice firearm. I have the same one. It’s been good so far. I have yet to find a local shop cheaper than online. Usually anywhere between $150 to $300 more expensive than online.
I paid $250 for mine new with 3 mags- Christmas Clearance sale :)

They seem like a no brainer. Good truck gun for sure.
It’s reliable enough to be a carry gun for a lot of people too. Much better than a Hi-Point for only a little more too

Cranky Gun, you might want to check out the Taurus line of Revolvers: i just purchased the 942 22lr 8 shot and 2 or 3 inch barrel models. It also comes in a "Lite" version. I too have a Taurus G3C. It is a greater shooter as is its big brother the G3 which I enjoy as much as the G3C. By the way, the Taurus TX full size 22lr is outstanding and its brand new (released early January 2023 the TX22 COMPACT (Compares in Size to the S&W M&P 22 Compact). Both the TX perform well with about any 22lr ammo. I think Taurus has hit another home run with the TX22 Compact. Good shooting with your G3C.
I have a classic model 85 Taurus in 38 special, the problem with Taurus revolvers and Taurus handguns in my state in general, is that they are not on what’s called an approved roster. My state is very limited as to what they let come in they have to be submitted to rigorous testing and approved by the Attorney General before they’re allowed to be sold in my state. Not a lot of Taurus handguns are approved.

Taurus now has a 25 dollar rebate available.
I just got one myself but mine turn out to be a lemon, sucker jams whenever I try to slide a round into the chamber right out of the box. And since I live in NJ I can't legally ship it back to Taurus for repairs, you live and you learn I guess.
Try a different mag maybe? Stinks but there are always a couple lemons
@@crankygunreviews - yeah I tried that and same issue, I'm gonna try polishing the barrel feeding ramp next. From what I read online others have had the same issue and polishing the feeding ramp using a dremel solved the feeding issue.
Mine does the same but everything else runs perfect. If I want an extra round, I magazine-feed the chamber and then refill a round back into the magazine.
@@higiniomorales459 I own 4 Tauruses, 3 are G Series. Ive polished the feed ramps on all 4 with a Dremel and cheap polishing compound. Easy Fix, and all of them now eat anything I feed them and keep chugging! They usually have this probllem with hollow points catching the feed ramps and the slide wont go into battery. You have to whap the back of the slide with your palm. And it goes forward. Polishing the feed ramp will fix it. From someone whos done it. 😊

well, $250 plus tax... Four Season Firearms Woburn Ma. They are a large volume dealer, and probably bought a pallet of these late in 2021, and were clearing them out.

Get a keep tinkering trigger. They are worth it.

My main gripe is how difficult it is to load bullets into the clip.
You can get a $10 speed loader and it helps a lot. I bought a knock off one from eBay
Yes, it is a chore, but my mags feed all bullet types without issue.

Nine is so difficult, I simply cannot load more than 6 bullets into it.
Its so irritating, I'm thinking about trading it for something looser.

I leave my mags loaded and they’re getting better. But get a cheap mag loader, they help a lot
If they were at the same price point, would you select the Ruger EC9s or the Taurus G3C for concealed carry?
EC9S only because it’s a little slimmer, the trigger is better, the frame isn’t as grippy so it doesn’t stick on my clothes… but get the EC9S with the fiber optic sights. Either is a decent choice, both are super reliable, I have both, and I carry both.

You make it seem like it has that long trigger pull with every shot. It only has to have that long pull with the first shot. It has a short reset.
It is a bit shorter after the reset and a little bit lighter, but not considerably lighter. I was speaking more about the weight than the travel. But yes, you are right- it is shorter pull after the reset, and the reset is a great tactile feel, and pretty short reset.

I don't think that you can "drive in from other States" to buy a handgun. I think you may be able to do that if your home State shares a border with the State where you want to purchase the gun from IF it's a long gun. I guess I know that you can do so, as I live in Kentucky and purchased a Mosin Nagant rifle from a dealer in West Virginia over the counter. But not handguns.
Perhaps this gun store does internet sales, but if so they must ship to gun to an FFL in your home State.

The 10 round magazines are the exact same length as the 12 round magazines
