  • Everyone is trying to rotate, but rotating on the correct plane is key to an efficient golf swing. Let's dive in!
    🔑🌪️ Milo's 5 KEYS to a Rotational Golf Swing: milolinesgolf.com/5-keys-to-u...
For example, rotating level, kind of like a baseball swing forces us to use our arms more, otherwise the club would be pitched out above the golf ball. Creating the correct bends and angles in the golf swing can thus set us up to swing properly on plane.

That’s the best explanation/demonstration of correct sequencing i have ever seen and heard. Very simple to apply. Thanks Milo!

Resquaring the left hip to the deep right hip, (a better visual for me than sitting) ... keeping the hips back...so many good things happen, the club shallows, it helps the club face get into the proper position...etc.
the resquaring tip is the best golf advice I have ever received in 50 years.
The worst......fire your hips AT the ball.....which throws your hips out and begins a bad sequence of events. Thanks for the good input Milo.

Right now I think you have some of the best golf content on CZcams. I will be great on the range and some days on the course but I get out of sequence and have a hard time getting the right feel back in the middle of a round. Maybe practicing that sitting and turning motion before each shot will help.

this is gold. I was turning and letting everything turn and drag my arms behind the torso, but I could see how I was still coming over the top. So, in a sense, do you start the downswing, with the hips AND the arms going down at the same time? and then when your hand get just above the knees fire the body towards the target?

This is huge for me. Got a bad back and subconsciously I’m trying to do everything i can to protect the injury. Hence, over the top with a lot of topping the ball and then overcompensate and then fat the ball. This gets the club on plane every time and my back hardly even notices. Terrific.

I’m so afraid of coming over the top I unfortunately rotate very little in the downswing into impact. It’s a very arm driven swing and I hate it.

Milo: I got an interesting feeling this week. Basically, it was a somewhat passive transition, and then felt the right side power through impact by rotating hard. I hit some quality shots doing this. I felt all the power came from the right side turning really fast. Right track? You feel something along these lines? Thanks.

Great video I am a recovering stroke victim looking for a way to have some consistency in my swing. My left was affected by the stroke have gone from a single digit handicapper to to break 90. My consistency sucks I shot 78 Thursday and 92 today. Love the 78 and hate the 90.

Really helpful. But, I’m assuming that once you get to impact, the shoulders are whipping through fast to get the club head to really sling through.

Jay Schwarz from about p6 through impact the upper body is really catching up with the lower body.

I tried this, starting with sitting, then moving my hips,. Then tried starting with my right arm down. I tried turning my shoulders you are over the top or spinning out. I watch the pros and their hips are still and they don’t get their arms stuck behind them. You are describing what happens during the swing, when you sit like that your head drops six inches. All this happens at 100 mph, impossible to compartment three movements in sequence while swinging anywhere near 80-100 mph. Sorry all this does is ruin my game for months. I can’t be the only one that feels this way?

Sorry you are struggling with this concept. Most Tour players heads drop in quite a bit in transition czcams.com/video/v_NItGXkd9E/video.html if you'd like some help with these concepts Id be glad to help either through my online academy milolinesgolf.com or in a private lesson online or in person.

Jerry, I am sure Milo can help you get on track. Here is some advise I got some years ago from a pro in North Carolina: try and feel as if you are holding a bucket (or a ball, anything) between your knees as you swing. I found that "feeling" of keeping yours knees apart like that does the same thing as Milo is suggesting. Of course the "bucket" falls out after you have hit the ball and your right thigh/knee joins your left leg in the follow through....
