Why does this song make me visualize a maze of mirrors, and there is a large beam of light in the middle, and the darkness is closing in, and you're trying to make it to the centre, and at some point I imagined that a person burst through a mirror.
I struggle with PTSD and have random panic attacks. They seemingly come out of no where and sucker punch me in the gut. This song helps so much, especially the part about being worth the struggle.

Not exactly something that 4th and 5th graders can really comprehend and definitely not something most teachers want to hear a child sing, at that age. As for 4th and 5th graders saying this, I doubt they truly grasp the lyrics of this song. Not to disregard any troubles the average 4th or 5th grader may have, but most of it is moodiness from hormones(puberty) or attention-seeking, rather than full on depression and near mental breakdown of a young-adult mind. I still remember what it felt like to go through the puberty moody phase, and it's rough, but it's nowhere near as deep as this.
