My Story:
After 49 years of doing the hamster-wheel in California, I finally left it all
and decided to see what Southeast Asia had to offer. I moved to the Philippines
for 6 years, experienced some of the best times of my entire life!
Now, I am exploring again and living in Vietnam. Join me as I venture out to see
more of Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. I will share with you my thoughts on
what I see and how I handle the various challenges of living as a full-time expat
in Southeast Asia. For more photos and non-CZcams videos, join or follow my

The Flak Sack goes with me almost every day. Not only does it provide the necessary security for my camera and hardware, it also serves as a tote bag for my shopping. Unfortunately, it isn't quite large enough for my 15" laptop, but that's where the new backpack would come in more useful. It's definitely going on my list of the things to buy when I have another balikbayan box shipped over to me in the Philippines.
I'm so excited; i pre-ordered mine.!! It will be here on Wednesday.. Because of your other reviews of the Loctote, I ordered this one.. Thanks again for everything you do and share Henry.. Simply Amazing.. Thanks for the demo..!! loved it..
Once again, you have spoken to the heart. Thank you for your openness and your wisdom. You have been most helpful. I will be in PH in a month, to meet a Filapina... much decision making to do... thanks for the inputs and allowing many of us to learn from your mistakes.
I think one of the most important aspects of the bags, is the water resistance.... Out in the rain, it is easy to have your stuff get soaked... When I was in the Army, we had waterproof bags that housed everything from your clothes to your sleeping bag... It is very important to have dry clothes in the bush... Thanks for the video, Henry...
Pretty good video! I really like my loctote bag! I’m happy that the made one of that size!
This looks like a awesome back pack Reekay thanks for sharing your time and showing us
Thank you for the video Reekay..Your videos are great..We love to watch your videos! This backpack looks like a mus have for travellers..Would be nice to have as an extra bag inside your main bag and when you buy something while shopping, you can just grab it and easily carry the things you bought randomly...
I clicked the link but the smaller bag that I'm interested in him the one that's like for a passport cellphone excetera they're not showing it on the site the tiny one thanks good information
I was opening your chanel to check if there is any video from Cambodia and on the same time i was looking for safety laptop bag and other this kind equipment. I didnt found video from Cambodia but thanks for recommendation safety bags.
Thanks for sharing,,I think its a must if traveling abroad...
Thanks for the review, hopefully they sent you this for free, because your first review sold me on the flac sac, and I have since bought the smaller one and a 2nd one (I left my first with my fiancee)
Six months or so when you did your initial review of Loctote, I bought the flak sack. Best travel bag ever. Tough but light bag. Actually is comfortable using it as a backpack. Well worth the $100. I bought it because of your review.👍
@@colonelharland7833 it's a good product that i personally use. i do get a commission (10%) from sales, but i hold no employee position with the company.
I love the Flak Sack. I can sleep like a baby in buses/airports and don't have to worry about my important stuff. Enjoy Vietnam and Cambodia. Anchor Wat is really an amazing place :)
If you want your stuff waterproofed, just spray waterproofing fabric spray on your bag, or cover your bag with a garbage bag, another trick is to use waterproof bags to stick inside the bag it’s easy. Get creative with waterproofing. You can buy the spray off of the internet or at Walmart.
Hope my advice helps
usually every time happens, that I have to travel back to Philippines. I buy new luggages, this time around...I bought Samsonite size 19. also small size backpack instead of two big once. Also have very small luggage for my Laptop and electronics. Whis is my carry-on.
Thanks for sharing
thx reekay, u da man
Booked for Avanti in Saigon from 20th how to contact?
I have read a few bad reviews about the locks not being dependable, but the bags are Great.
Traveling light 👍🏼
Sorry for being a dummy! On the menu tab (sorting) I selected A and it showed the procuct sorry for that and that price wasn't bad it was like 57 bucks.
What is the name of the ear cleaning place????
Hello Reekay, thanks for sharing, a very nice looking backpack, thanks again for info, have a wonderful trip to Cambodia and be safe, have a wonderful week and God bless you and your family always
everything went smoothly enough, other than switching hotels. although phnom penh wasn't really my kind of town, it was still an interesting experience,
I use this bag when I travel to Cebu and around asia. I use to lock up the 3L sack in my condo, so in case someone goes into my place and tries to take my valuables.
Can it be in a carry on bag? Or does it have to be stowed below?
it can go either way. i've done both. most of the time i use the backpack version as my carry-onn, and i put the other two in my suitcase.
Thank you Reeky I Purchased One of each
it's truly my must-have for travel.
Sweet Bags.
Henry would you please give me the adress where I can buy the Lactote back pack.
hey herman, how's it going? :) yes, here is the link to order online, they will ship to you. bit.ly/reekayloctotebag
I'm about to get one. Just wanted to know how comfortable is it wearing for couple hours?
the backpack is very comfortable for all-day. the flacksack (smaller) i only use for security, since the backpack version is much more comfortable. the small satchel is nice for weekend trips to just hide the cards, money, passport.

Please let us know how comfortable it was in Cambodia. I’m curious if the straps are going to be uncomfortable once the backpack is weighted down.
very comfortable. i latched it to the hand-rail of the bus, this way i could leave it there when we made bathroom stops. i could also nap on the bus without worrying about my stuff.
@@Lifebeyondthesea is the cinch bag or the flak sak more comfortable to wear?
Hi hello verry nice i like the bag
you say you can replace the lock on the cinch pack, but it looks to be attached to the strap. Can it be removed and if you do how do you attach another lock to it. I have a flak sak and do not like the combo lock that comes with it because its so easy to accidentally reset the combo. It looks like the lock on the back pack is very similar.
while the combo-lock cannot be removed, you can still use your own alternate lock by using the steel ring which is part of the strap.
@@Lifebeyondthesea I take it that you mean the ring on the strap without the combo lock?
hi hello my friend, what is your citizenship,,,I'm subscribe your channel and I'm watching your videos always,I'm from MetrO CDO City Mindanao...
Reekay, people seem to really like this bag. The only complaint that i've heard of is that the combination on the lock
is easy to accidentally reset. Have you ever had this problem?
i haven't had that issue, but then i'm careful with my things. the same happened to a friend of mine on his luggage padlock (not a loctote) and he didn't know the combo after he accidentally changed it by pulling out the metal u-bar.
but i've used the loctote with an alternate key-lock which i got at the hardware store. mostly i use the combo lock if i don't want to carry a key like when i'm swimming or traveling so i don't lose the key.
Did you have to pay any duty or taxes when that arrived?
in vietnam and PH, no in both cases.
The link just spins
I hear in HCMC smoking weed is not seen as a problem, even in public by the cops.
Yea, smell it everywhere
👍🏽
I think it's a good product but what's with the design 🤔
Where do we buy?
there is a link here you can use... bit.ly/reekayloctotebag
Online on that link he gave you.
you have great knees, to be able to sit that way.
i can put each of my ankles up on my knees. still fairly flexible, and the yoga since november is helping as well.
But you can’t lock the bag while you are wearing it..?
you can, with a separate padlock. have it locked while wearing.
but, while you are wearing it, the entry to the bag will not open anyway, so nobody can get into it while you're wearing it.
Reekay's LifeBeyondTheSea I see. Thanks for the quick response!
None of those small locks are secure. But better than nothing, of course.
Will this go through airport security?
Yes, I have traveled between the United states, Vietnam and the Philippines with no issues at all. Been doing this for several years.
@@Lifebeyondthesea thanks. I fly to Cebu Wednesday
I'm guessing the backpack is heavy
not at all. it's sturdy, but was a breeze to carry when i used it in cambodia for 4 days.
Hi my name is Manny I'm from Australia I would like to know how much is that like to backpack that you advertised on your video I tried to Google it and I got 20 other bags and I just can't work out which one was the one that you showed in your CZcams could you tell me how much that is and specific serial number or something how to get it and can you tell me how much it is in US dollars and convert to Australian dollars if you can thank you I like your videos how can I go to the Philippines a lot and I used to like the ones that you did for the Philippines I don't mind the Vietnamese ones at all thank you
