In the first game there also was a tentacle bug: The Impaler. And since the whole Major Order is bug related and mutation themed, it would make far more sense to introduce that one, than bringing the Illuminates on a "random" planet in the middle of a bug infestation.
This. Thought the story progression was going to be that the bug mutations popped out something with tentacles now.
This for sure. My theory is the Illuminate is supposed to have way better tech than we do. What prevents them from warping straight to our home planet. If I was a Dev, that's how I'd introduce the illuminate. A good ol' holy 💩

Did they tweak the Stalkers? They seem more resistant to damage now. The last few missions they've smashed me.
Glad I'm not the only one who's noticed that. The hunters seem to be tankier too, taking more shots from my Breaker Incendiary before going down. It's freaking annoying.
im sure the only tweak is they are actually invisible now, its almost impossible to see them or hear them until its too late

I think we need to reduce strat cooldowns before we face those. In the first game, they were tough even with being able to spam strats at it.
After this latest patch that nerfed so many wepaons its not really worth getting excited over the new warbond. Because the weapons will start off great but then a couple of weeks later Arrowhead will look at that and say thats illegalnand nerf them too. We already know they want to do one a month but what theyll do to the weapons and armor is completely unknown after its release.
Is it just me, or is anybody else getting sick of all these weapons getting released with small magazine sizes? The liberator penetrator only has 30 rounds, the adjudicator only has 25, both the marksman rifles are 20 and 15. Scorcher is 15. Breaker reduced to 13. The plasma shotgun only has eight, the eruptor and crossbow only have five. And now this gun, which is yet another gun with a small magazine size. If they're going to be throwing more/harder enemies at us, I don't want to focus on reloading every five seconds. Let me shoot!
Maybe extended mags coming soon, with weapon customization?

@@PonsterMenis98 but there's no point in having a primary weapon, if you're only going to resort to other weapons. The primary weapon should be the main weapon that brings down enemies. you cannot spam support weapons and stratagems. They all have decent cool down times.
You barely touched on pc users having to go to ps online or whatever. This needs to be a NO. I def will be demanding refunds. I was told they’re interested in making their own launcher and that is the last thing I want. Another fucking launcher to play the games I bought. I doubt they’ll give me a refund with 200+ hours but I will be demanding every hour of everyday, that finishes it for me. If I wanted to join the ps thing, I’d buy a playstion.
Strange, I had to make and link a PS account when I started playing on my PC. I figured everyone else already had done that.

@hendrickstrauss3311 A few hours ago, Arrowhead announced that by the end of the month, all players will be required to link a PSN account to their Steam account even if you don't own a Playstation console. People who are already playing have until June 4th to link said account, making people unsure if they'll even be able to play the game after said date if they don't comply in time

I just logged onto Steam and saw the update there...For me personally not a big deal as I have a PSN account...but I do not support this forced creation of an account on an entirely different platform. This is not a good move. There will be a drop off of players unfortunately :(

The stealth armour makes perfect sense to me. The scout perk works by making enemies detection radius smaller. The servo assisted works by letting you stay further outside their detection radius. Different methods, same outcome.
If you dive just as you throw a grenade/call-In you throw roughly the same distance as servo enhanced armor.
Don’t use servo enhanced. Just learn to dive throw. 😊

Some gamers are really braindead. An example: we do our missions and if we are close to the evacuation spot I'll go there and drop my samples, so they are on a good location and then someone completely braindead take them and running with them for farming maybe what? 4 more samples, getting killed and all samples are gone. If samples are in the evacuation zone, there are only two reasons to take them. 1. To combinate yours and those on the ground and make one out of it. 2. If you enter the ship. Isnt that difficult to understand
Not to mention the “teammate” could just carry those extra 4+ samples w out being a dumbass and picking up the extract samples 💀 smh too real bro hopefully they fix matchmaking in the game for solo players

Servo assisted is my favorite perk. Half the game is throwing stuff, and you can get crazy accurate with strategems. The 50% limb health is huge too, you don't realize how much damage you take on the limbs.
I think they need more armor perks in general though

They made an announcement on Discord about steam and not being able to send friend requests threw steam after may 6, I believe, unless you have a lynced psn account.

I just finished playing.. when I got respawned a guy shot at me, so I responded by killing him, he instantly left lol.
I’d change the binding to to put in codes to arrow keys so you can keep moving when calling in a stratagem
Thats one advantage ps has since we use joysticks to move amd d-pad for stratagems

What MIGHT be interesting if scout armors, in addition to the normal stealth bonus, got an additional bonus in their selected environment. It wouldn't be game breaking, and you could still hide in snow with bright red armor; the white armor would just hide better!

This major order finishes up, then we get a new order to attack Meridia (the supply lines will most likely be added back, right now they’re gone to prevent us from attacking Meridia prematurely)
We fail on Meridia after the MO that’ll probably last 1-2 days, then the dark fluid research begins on Moradesh. On May 9th, the dark fluid malfunctions and collapses Moradesh into a black hole, killing 12 and allowing the illuminate to return. They’ll appear randomly on missions.

I cannot believe the Spear fix is THAT hard. I have NEVER seen a single game with a lock-on weapon work anything close to this bad.
Come on, we managed to do that consistently back in the late 2000s in the CoD MW trilogy.
I'm a little disappointed that the new armor did not have a new, unique perk for them.
In my head, I was thinking of two ideas:
1) Much higher resistance/Immunity to blizzards and reduced/no slipping on ice.
2) increased resistance/immunity to environmental hazards.
Just feels weird to me that we have armor designed for snow and to not have it have a perk that makes it better equipped to handle snowy/harsh environments.
I mean you can be stealthy by throwing stuff further. If you are able to lob a stratagem 60m that is well outside detection distance
In that same warbond, for the CW-4 Arctic Ranger armor, it also mentions Terminid tentacles. I would assume that the tentacle-tearer text for the AR-61 Tenderizer would also be referring to those, since the Illuminates aren't in the game yet.
The thing that irks me most about the armor colors is the complete lack of a consistent palette. Yellow and gray are the only consistent colors. Everything else is seemingly random. There are like, 4 different oranges, 4 different reds, a couple different beige/off-white colors, three golds, 5 greens, etc. It makes it very difficult to mix and match armor pieces and capes when the palette is inconsistent! Just use 1-2 of each color max! FFS

Maybe unkillable while in ship But the ship will leave without you and most of your team even though all team is alive and no timer. One HELLDIVER gets on and leaving everyone else soon as HE/SHE gets on.
My group asks me how to get the look consistenly but i only can say it just works xD
So here’s my idea, what if some armors had a conditional stealth passive + one other passive? Ex. Increase stealth on snow planets & increased throwing range, or increased stealth on sand/desert planets & reduced recoil while crouching? Helps encourage players to cycle between armor sets and biomes
handy hint, thre's new sub-objective and POi tiles/layouts in game since the patch as well.
I hope the devs keep stuff like this flowing because it's nice to have a lab-objective i don't need to drop 2 hellbombs into.
the 50% extra patrol-rate for solo has turned EVERY run i do into a slog tho, i know it's called helldivers but killing 700+ bugs in challenge difficulty when trying to play objectives shouldn't have to be a thing.
You know the research station tactical obj only takes a precision strike to the building with the radar on top right? Or 1 hellbomb next to radar building. None of the other building matter.
K servo assisted is one of the best perks in game. You throw further, yeah w.e. (Highly underrated but different topic.) Limb health, means you actually have MORE health overall. About 20 more hp than normal. 5 hp for each limb. SO GOOD. Dynamo heavy armor is one of the best in game.
Imagine if the passive perk was reduces detection by 40% but goes to 60% on a snow planet along with giving a move speed boost in snow
And another had reduces heat buildup on weapons by 30% and reduces impact damage when landing in snow by 50%
I think the camouflage when is cause you can throw anything before they see you. You can take out many bases without actually fighting
Geeze this game... who TF needs to throw further when you can't even see past 30m on some planets? By the time you are close enough to confirm your target, they've already seen you, and stealth is no longer an option.
They say in the warbond that tentacles are from Hunters and Stalkers...
Idk if you're actually invincible after entering the pelican now... When I played a Bile Titan still killed me at then while I was already inside the ship, so maybe you can't be killed by friendly fire anymore or perhaps it was just a bug that didn't make me immune for some reason.
I got killed by my own eruptor shot yesterday despite the shot landing in a different postcode. Can’t wait for the shrapnel to be removed. Feels like it’s always got a chance to instakill you just for shooting it.
I've noticed the same. Took a potshot at a spore spewer across the map and had shrapnel fly back right past my head. Didn't kill me (this time) but that was unexpected to say the least.

just an hour ago i died while extracting i was fully on the pelican seated and was killed by a rocket from a rocket devastator. maybe its only invincible from friendly fire

I want to say bullshit on not dying in the pelican. Just yesterday I got in the pelican and someone threw a 380mm down and it killed me and threw me out of the pelican.
Are there any blue capes? I haven't seen one. Red capes would be nice, though.
This may be me but, did they improve the move speed and strength of the bugs?
It kinda does make sense to have servo assisted i guess...if you're sneaking, you can hurl a strat from further away and not blow your cover, bit for me though, when I throw a strat, they seem to automatically KNOW exactly where it came from. As soon as it hits the ground they start rushing my pos.

Liability due to how often Playstation gets hacked, not to mention it wasn't required till just now which makes no sense seeing as Network Stability was fixed within the first two months. People are theorizing that Sony is forcing AH to mandate this to inflate the PS player count as Steam isn't counted towards it and the quarterly sales/player count reviews are coming up next month.
Idk we have been getting told left and right about how fixes are coming, only for them to never show. I get they’re a business and keep a schedule, but some of these fixes are well past their due date. Idk bout you, but I don’t like being gaslit for weeks on end. My money is on the fixes for misaligned sights, DOT, and obviously the spear won’t happen until after the new warbond releases. If we’re lucky anyways.
You aren’t being told “fixes are coming.” And as far as I know, they aren’t dangling these things in front of our face to keep us playing like a pair of keys in front of a baby.
Anywho, WE (key word) are being told that there are known issues. It’s not as publicly known, but this game is running in a very old engine that’s hard to work on.
@@idrinkalienmilk3948 Was more speaking on their discord channel. You’re right it’s not those exact words, “fixes are coming”. However we were told these “fixes are being worked on”, but have yet to see anything over weeks of something that is so essential to the game. Especially after a massive balance update I feel like everyone was expecting to see at least some of the major fixes. Yea we got some crash fixes, which is essential I’ll give you that. But why over/under tune weapons/enemies when some things can’t work as intended.
You’re right though about the engine being difficult on, so I can imagine the game is difficult to adjust on the fly. But at the bare minimum it’s just frustrating to just see DLC pushed out, and essential fixes being delayed patch, after patch.
Spear is fixed I’ve been wrecking with it since patch. Most instant lock on 99% of the time

Had some lvl 6o ish player kicked all other players when the pelican arrived. I got kicked last and had the super samples - makes any sense for you?
I've been wanting the 30% stealth buff with the increased throwing distance. No bot or bug would ever see it coming. Even if they survived, they wouldn't know where to start looking.
Ok, so ive already posted this theory on another channel, but you having to start over fresh on pc pretty much confirms this.
Since the lack of data sync pretty much means there no permanent player data being saved on one of the servers, from the other servers (the main psn server is probably what ah links to), theres a good possibility that players on steam have to be assigned a temporary psn placeholder everytime they log in, while converting any player info held on the steam cloud saves to psn data. This would mean any player on steam is connected through at least 3 different servers to play hd2. This could introduce any number of issues if one or more of those servers has a problem reconciling differences between data coming from multiple sources at once. This might lead to crashes, bugginess, loss of "framerate or smoothness" (just the game waiting for a response from the server), issues with crossplay, and just all around jank. This may be the reason why ah wasnt able to talk about the crossplay issues, as they knew it wouldnt be good optics on their part or maybe some kind of nda. daddy sony was probably forcing them into it eventually, while they were trying to find out if they could seperate themselves from the psn envirnment to more freely serve players with a more direct server connection or hosting player data on their own servers. I wonder how many 1st party sony titles actually support true crossplay saves, between steam, xbox/ms, and sony, among other storefronts/servers. Anways again, just a theory, but the timing is too close to ignore.
What really doesnt make sense is psn forced data door. We are unfortunately quitting because of this change. Was fun while it lasted

It became a super colony, super earth declared it a lost cause. The bug invasion is so bad it looks significantly different from orbit and it is no longer safe to land on. We had a hand in it by activating the TCS towers which turned out to be very good for making bugs extra horny and not so good at making them extra dead. It might open up again after the current major order to shut down towers on the other 3 planets in the system.
The sample problem stems from the individual who tries to collect them all and ends up dying and making them unrecoverable that’s the real asshole problem….
I really wish they would just allow you to change armor abilities freely between armor. I freaking love the arch protection armor. To me the thing looks freaking sick, but I never run it because the ability it provides is just useless for me.
The illuminate use shock so it'll help there unless I'm mistaken

Well, shared samples do not count for the achievements though. To get the "extract with X amount of sample Y" achievements, you have to have them on you. Shared ones do not count.
So... ask the other players to drop them instead of shooting/booting? Any time someone's needed that achievement I've had no problem dropping the samples I have.

I absolutely agree with the dullness of the coloring when it comes to armor sets, I feel the same about armor passives as well, it’s dull.
I’m still waiting for this game to give me more to work with but it’s just not and I’m becoming more and more disappointed when there’s so much potential to be had😊
My problem with the game is as they add more and more and more “premium” warbonds. The game will eventually end up real real expensive to play and achieve all the items. As we sit right now it’s 40$ for the game and another 40$ in warbonds. After a couple months it’s gonna be insane.
I have all the warbonds, and the extra credits to buy the new one already and I haven’t spent a dime beyond the $40 game price. If you actually play the game regularly you will collect them for free easily.
Litteraly last night one guy failed to flamer us in the pelican. But then he just shot us with a regular gun and we all died.

Still Waiting for the Playmode "Last Stand" . Were your entire Squad failed to extract and now and you have 1 minute to call down your stratagem, before everything rushed to your position. For each Minute you survive you will get more Exp and Credits. Respawns will be disabled , the Super Destroyer will leave and Stratagem will deactive besides the Resupply ones ...
I have nearly 150 hours on HD2 and Iv Never seen or experienced death once you board the pelican…but Iv heard it mentioned on this channel several times, my game has only ever crashed a handful of times, my flamethrower seems to do loads of damage not as the host…sometimes I think we are playing different games

I watch all your vids and apreciate your work but man sometime the bias: get our first blue cape, complain we not getting New colors. Also stealth armor perk to ping minimap to spot poi and enemies is enough to help you avoid detection

I do think the color variations need to be more expensive. You know, make make a black and purple color scheme, Or a brown and black Color scheme. Gold and green or gold&Sliver would be a Great mix just Saying.
Maybe they should try nerfing the SPEAR. They are good at Nerfs. then they can say they'll patch it in 2 months
