Good tips! I think using eyeliner as a base used to be recommended more (along with multipurposing everything like working makeup artists do) but then companies realized that they'd make more by filling every little niche like "blue cream eye base".
My guess is you have very cool toned skin. Maybe try warm tones on the eyes, eg try rich burgundy eyeliner together with darker brown, burnt orange or mossy green shadows x
@@jamiecare1042 I’ll try to burnt orange and mossy green! I only ever use brown lol. Also, I’m not sure if my skin tone is warm or cool. I’ve yet to find a foundation that doesn’t look orange on me, and I also look bad with cool toned eyeshadows.
Blue, navy, and cobalt blue are my favorites to wear on my deep brown eyes plus I have oily lids so I powder my lids then line with pencil and liner in the same color or family and then lots of mascara. This look is so fab Monica🤩👍🏽👍🏽.

Thats a great way to do it i use this trick to make smockey eyes to make the Black really Pop out also can you please try entire make up look to be burgundy? Its my favourite color qnd i think it really looks good on brown skin tone would be nice to see someone professional do it❤
Img agree! I love aubergine and burgundy eyeliners, they make my eyes pop much more than black!! Blue mascara for night time is another trick if you want to bring out the vibrancy of your eyes without going for a whole blue-toned eye look: it looks like a glossy black in low light.

I know you started it for fun and show other brown skin lovelies what products to go for, but do know that it's going beyond that. My Gigi is 70 and grew up in the south, we're trying to get her to let her butterfly wings spread, but some experiences are hard for her to shake (obviously)! The women at beauty counters were downright monsters to black women, if they didn't just flat out lie and say they don't have anything they can use left for sale. She was thrown out quite a few times for a multitude of racist reasons. It's awesome to watch her and friends get excited for doing makeup nights each week 😭😭😭😭🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I've never been able to pull off tightlining - it burns so bad even with liner geared toward sensitive eyes.
