I'm a Bulls fan bt to be honest Manie Libok is the best flyhalf in SA at the moment
Man, these Stormers backs are full of running. Libbok, Willemse, Davids, du Plessis, Zas, Nel all in great form.
If Dayimani and Libbok aren't in the green and gold for the World Cup it will be a crying shame. Playing great rugby. Good to see. Go WP!
Dayimani had a looot of competition though.
He sure does, but man has he stepped up. He's always been a good player, but he is looking in such good form and always happy to get involved. Need that energy and skill in what's going to be a very tough World Cup. Perhaps a good option for the Bomb Squad if he's not starting?
@@marconel facing libbok (hopefully we get that far) would be scary and i must admit as a welshie i've never really been convinced by post 2019 handre pollard or willemse. Pollard was destructive in 2019 but hasn't seemed to get back to that form. Libbok first choice for the springboks?

@@ghostguin1398 I would not say Libbok is currently number one in the eyes of the coaches and selectors, but I think he has more than made a case for his inclusion in the team. Pollard would appear the favourite, but fitness and speed are legitimate strengths of Libbok that are at least in my mind giving him an edge at this stage. Its a matter of picking the right person for the conditions and I'm not so sure that simply slotting your conversions will be enough. We need all our very best playmakers on the field to take the game to the likes of France, Ireland and New Zealand.

Players like who? Dayimani plays well for example, but he is not a hard nose no rubish number 7 like a springbok no7 should be.

One of the best games this year
Connacht were in that game until 77 minutes.. at one stage it looked like Stormers were about to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Well played both sides
Dayimani with a 1-2 kick pass try and an absolute filth offload to secure it. He cant stop himself smiling after that last pass.

You cannot judge Manie on a tryline fumble because he always but always makes up for a silly mistake. You cannot say that about any other SA flyhalf. Manie is the hottest right now. Just give the man his due.

Think Connacht can be very proud, shame they didn't make the final but a lot of positives to take from that into next season. Scoreboard doesn't reflect how close the game was near the end but congrats to the Stormers, deserved winners in the end. Hopefully Leinster get the job done too, what a final that would be!

@@reaganbrecht394 they certainly will. I've been impressed with how they improved in the latter part of this season, same with Munster. I'm a Leinster fan so ultimately disappointed with the second semi final result, but I'll be shouting for Munster in the final and hoping to see all 4 provinces performing strongly next season.

No thank you Super Rugby is dead and good riddance. 50 k fans vs a couple of thousand speaks volumes. New Zealand has not been the standard for some years now so not sure why certain people still cling on to the past. The URC has been a revelation. At least we don't have the NZRFU there to stab is in the back further.
I'm a sharks fan and I dont know how the sharks or the stormers didnt win a super rugby title between 2007 and 2011. Stormers when they had Duane. Eben etc were ridiculous

The URC has been a revelation. Give me the URC over the raging dumpster fire that is Super Rugby any day of the week. Great rugby to watch. Would have enjoyed watching the cheetahs take part as they are surely more competitive than the lions.
So true. I was so worried because I loved super Rugby with south African teams in it, but New Zealand overplayed their hand as usual and I understood why the south African teams left, but I could never imagine urc catching on with the south African teams, but how wrong I was.

Attractive rugby was played, but the first 15 min was nervy. Gain line was where the game was won.

Total rugby won it not just defense. You don't get points for tackles made but it was a great game

Agreed. I think the Cheetahs can feel a bit hard done by getting kicked out of the Pro14 as it was before. They were there for 3 seasons I think with the Southern Kings who were shocking, but the Cheetahs were quite strong and made it to the playoffs 2 of the years I think. Some high quality rugby this year, it can only get better.

Libbok should be the SPRINGBOKS starting Number 10 but this country is still stuck with playing Rassies dinosaur Rugby from the Naas Botha Era. Just imagine a SPRINGBOKS back line with Libbok at 10, Willemse at 12 and Lukhanyo at 13. Yoh Yoh that is real skill and flair players. And also Dayimani & Orrie should be starting for the Boks.

The SPRINGBOKS and All Black's as the 2 main rugby nations in the World, have the responsibility to play entertaining rugby to grow the game. The game is not attracting any new spectators with such a negative rugby style. The game is dying because both NZ and SA are resorting to kick and chase and rolling maul rugby.

Dayimani is a special player, he's got skills for days,it wouldn't help his cause if he makes the bok side and is made to play like a Pieter steph or a typical tight loose forward, Dobson has really turned the stormers into a world class side, he understands players and personalities. Dayimani wouldn't be as dynamic snd lethal under Jake white, so is libbok, canaan moodie would be deadlier in a stormers side than he is with the Bulls. Just saying.
