I remember having to watch this video as a part of my ramp training, and I nearly lost my shit when I saw Bruce
I could listen to him talk about planes all day
The man could also be a host on a tv show, or a reporter. He just has that gravitas.
Thank you very much for the video that you have made available to everyone... I am a graduate student in the field of ergonomics. I live in Iran and unfortunately, none of the employers and officials and employees of Iran National Airlines (Homa) agreed to cooperate in my research work and I will definitely appreciate and thank you in my thesis and defense...
BRUCE DICKINSON the best pilot and vocalist of the world !
Jeeps . . . what a multi-talented guy Bruce Dickinson is! Not only can Iron Maiden's lead singer fly these big aircraft but it turns out he's also got huge presenting skills. Never again will I argue with the stewardess who asks me not to move into a free seat row so I can spread myself out . . . it might crash the plane.
Awesome stuff from Dickinson . . . and he was expelled from school for pissing into his headmaster's dinner. There's hope for us all!
Bruce is a BADASS!
I am not an Iron Maiden fan but I am thoroughly enjoying Bruce Dickinson’s aviation loading doco.
It fascinates me that a heavy metal singer is also a Captain. Wow!
@Samson 92 ...and a published poet. Have I forgotten any other skills he has! C'mon people help me out here!
Cap't Bruce is the man - on so many levels.
He takes all of it seriously. He never took himself as such... UP THE IRONS!!!
Thanks for uploading this wonderful video. And thanks to Cptn. Bruce Dickinson for his excellent explanation of all the facts around the weight and balance of an aircraft. I work as a flight dispatcher in a cargo airline and also work as a weight and balance teacher, so this video is more than perfect in what I do.
Besides, I´m a Iron Maiden fan.... Up The Irons!!!
Love it! I was a CSA. I want to do more working under the wing.
UP THE BRUCE !!!🇬🇧🤘
My responsibility is related Weight and Balance. Bruce, Thanks to your video, it very impressive that you explain it all very clear.
Awesome, bruce is awesome!!!!
Te amo Bruce, de grande quiero ser como tú...de todo
Still remember the night that F27 crashed as I worked at Luton airport and was on the ramp that night.
Seen this guy somewhere before...
Brilliant! I learned a lot from watching this and of course appreciated Captain Bruce Dickinson even more than before(if that is possible). ;)
True story: A friend of mine, who weighed about 300 lbs, had to move from his registered seat to another one closest to the middle of a plane ( private charter 10 seater shuttle)....so they could balance the aircraft....
oh my beautifull captain bruce
Very educational, interesting stuff. But had they put Dickinson's name in the title the video would have had way, way more views.
Up the Irons
What are the 3 main area’s where you can distribute load on an aircraft?
What center of gravity is better? A forward cg within range or an aft cg within range. Which cg will allow a higher cruise airspeed for the same gross weight, a forward cg or an aft cg? Thank you.
Hi, Larry. I just opened this video for the first time. I am amazed that no one has responded to your excellent question. Near the aft CG limit is much more fuel efficient than a neutral or forward CG on a conventional aircraft with an aft horizontal stabilizer/elevator. I will explain the aerodynamics of it if you are interested. But be aware that at or aft of that aft CG limit, the aircraft will be unrecoverable from an upset or a stall.
There was a pilot in one of my fighter squadrons named Ehrlich. Very bright fellow, although. . . .
Thee……Bruce Dickinson. He’s got a fevah….and the only prescription is more cowbell!
This guy should be in the entertainment industry. He’s gonna do big things.
Ahahaha 😂 cool
