- The night begins with a bit of a stumble, as nobody informed James, our exec producer Rob or our director Tim that Terry Crews hadn't arrived in his dressing room before we started taping. But we powered through it, and eventually we found the right Terry. And after James and Ian try to process the CDC warning us about a Salmonella outbreak in Italian meats, James looks at a soft-drink/chips combo that really stretches the imagination.

Genuine laughter is so very hard to come by these days .. and you all genuinely make me laugh I’ve grown to feel like the whole crew are friends and i dearly missed you all while you were on break . I hope you never change this most amazing interaction it’s been the BEST thing to come from all the rest of the BS of the last year and a half . And that news jingle … we all needed that we just didn’t know it 😂thank you so much for the laughter 💜

The show is on to something that separates it from other conventional talk shows. Not sure how much longer they can maintain the loose craziness. If they can bottle it up and figure out a scheme they are on to something. One thing I'm acutely aware of is that lack of a real audience seems to improve the show. I look forward to watching their progress.
Seth Meyers’ Late show is also lacking an audience and it’s GREAT! I think pandering to an audience wasn’t fun for anyone. Kudos to James and Seth for being funny, resourceful motherfckers! And to their CREWS for bringing it!!! 👏

Who would have thought, no live audience, no fake laughter. People who work in the studio, much better atmosphere...it's a great vibe, now it's the question whether they can keep this format as it is.
I just love how everyone is part of the show now. I hope it doesn't go away when an audience is back

The best thing about this show now, is that we know who is involved in making it.. people behind the camera rarely get the same recognition as the 'star' !.. and they can enjoy it in a way that they probably never have before! 😃
I don't think there is any credence in the thought that everything needs to "go back to normal".. there was no real normal !The world was abnormal !
I like that the crew are the audience of their own art, and being part of that art too !

Nickie Bee. Rockstar hair, school board threads. The jockey thing should be the start of an ever escalating series of themed wardrobe stunts culminating in Prince's Purple Rain suit. Also; that's when it becomes the Late Late Show with Senior Veep, and James has to go deal with the network for a while. At least a few weeks. Film the whole thing.

I love that the 'spread their legs' thing made it to international news. The guy next to Chris Hipkins is Dr Ashley Bloomfield. He's our version of Fauci only we listen to him. After it happened NZ social media was flooded with memes and some people even made remixes of it. Its just fantastic.
I'm just another HUGE fan of this show as it is right now. You cannot even grasp how much you saved me from dispair during the last 19 months. For anyone who wants to learn that, it's easiest to practice the motions on a squishy, soft surface like a mattress. I first learned it on my parents' bed as a teen, tho I might've ruined a few springs as I got heavier :P Eventually you'll graduate to carpet and then any solid surface will be possible! It's fun!
