Saint Mary chief town and capital is Port Maria, located on the coast.
Geography: It is one of Jamaica's smallest parishes, situated on the northeast section of Jamaica in the county of Middlesex, bordered by Portland to the East, St Ann to the West, parts of St Catherine and St Andrew to the South, and the Caribbean Sea to the north.
St Mary Jamaica is the 10th largest parish and also the birthplace of established dancehall reggae artists, such as Capleton, Lady Saw, Ninja Man, Sizzla and Tanya Stephens.

My parents emigrated back to JA I in 1973, they brought my siblings & I to JA for the 1st time. My parents were in their early thirties . We were 11,9 & 7 years of age. My parents decided to move to rural ST Mary, what a decision.
We attended Carron Hall all age, guys hill secondary & port Maria high schools. I walked and commuted the roads in this video a minimum 5 days per week. This part of the country provided me with a wealth of life experience. We loved the off road natural things, like star Apple , cane, breadfruit, mango walk, bananas, naseberry, oranges, grapefruit, ethiopa apple, stinking toe, coconuts, jackfruit, lots of bind belly 😩swimming in the many river holes and courses, bell rose & Royal tiger buses . We just need to invest in this area, the space is there.
Panansus, anybody remember this community venue ? Too many things to mention. Fond memories all the way from London.
I also lived in wellington, St Mary ( da best).

The soil is rich, almost anything would grow;
I am from Jamaica. I have been to Ochi and I have heard people say that Ochi is the prettiest part of JA, but after seeing this video, I can say that St. Mary is prettier than Ochi. The large land spaces, the greenery, the nice roads that I have seen in this video shows truly a beautiful parish.
I am in South Africa Cape Town and would love to visit St Mary in the near future. Such a beautiful place and beautiful vegetation too. That will be nice to come for the 1st time experience life in Jamaica.

St Mary Parish compliment Ocho Rios so much. In fact, most of those hotels shown that adapt the Ocho Rios name, is actually in St Mary. If the video was 5 minutes longer, all subscribers would have the opportunity of viewing Ocho Rios. Jamaica's most sophisticated, opulent, desirable, dreamy, romantic, adventurous and livable platinum international playground for the global elite traveler.
Businesses use the name Ocho Rios which is in St Ann Parish as marketing strategy especially in the tourism sector but in fact the business geographic location is St Mary Parish miles away from Ocho Rios/St Ann. I have always heard about Couples Ocho Rios, Couples is located in St Mary Parish 😀

It would be nice to hear a voice explaining and giving direction as you past thru each town and provinces as you drive. Last year in 2019 was my fist time back to Jamaica in 41 years. Therefore many of the towns and Parishes I don't remember. It would be nice to know where you are driving or what route you are taking to each of your destinations. Thanks
