It's been over 4 years since I've graduated and I do remember what my first day of high school was like. The only difference though is that I had to take a freshman seminar course back in 9th grade and instead of a traditional beginning of the school year assembly, our principals and counselors would go to one of our classes to give us an overview of school policies as well as grade-level expectations during the first two weeks of school. And we did this every year just like how Randolph Valley High School does with their assemblies. In addition, I agree that Jordan needs to get his acts together and grow up like everyone else in his grade; because without this, he will have a very stressful time throughout the rest of high school, which I could tell he already is when I last saw your other videos.

As much as I know students aren’t perfect, but having attendance policies for that many class sessions all day was extremely too exhausting, worthless, and overwhelming for me. I mean it’s fine to prepare people for the real world, but I don’t want myself nor other people to be overworked. As person who wants flexibility among school/work schedules, I rather balance between work, family, and mental health!

Honestly, the punishments seem pretty harsh. Jordan complained that it seemed boring. Unless they were interrupting the assembly, it didn't seem too much of a remark to get him into trouble. Him playing games during English class was wrong, and him disrupting his Math class and disrespecting teachers, did deserve to get him into trouble. I would have given him one day of suspension and a lunch detention.
