I think I can clarify something for you. Many of us fell in love with Elvis at young ages. Of course we thought he was the most handsome man on earth. But we were young and innocent so it wasn't about sexuality. Even babies appreciate a beautiful face... they've done studies on it. I was 6 years old when I first heard and saw him and fell in love instantly. I assure you it was an innocent and pure love. I loved him, not just his looks. The whole package. I'm sure many older girls had crushes on him, but that is only natural. Ever heard of a schoolgirl crush? Its perfectly innocent and developementally normal for a girl to have a crush on an older man. It only becomes perverted if the adult makes it so.

He tested them by changing words in the songs and doing goofy things. He enjoyed playing pranks and having fun with them and the audience. Please understand Elvis health issues. A journalist named Sally Hoedel wrote a book called "Elvis Presley Destined to Die Young", few have read it, it details his heredity and how it sealed his fate. His grandparents on his mother's side were first cousins. This produced a double gene called Alpha 1, Elvis got it, as did his mother and her two brothers. All died in their forties and all had the same diseases. There was no cure for it back then but with medication now there is hope. Elvis was a twin his brother was dead at birth. Elvis was a sickly child, he was born with a twisted colon and got very little medical attention in his early life because he was so poor. By 1971 he had developed early onset Glaucoma and their was emergency surgery done secretly to save his right eye, from total blindness. Elvis kept much of his health information away from the media. He didn't want his fans to worry and was in much pain from Livier and Heart disease which killed his mother when only 46. He began to have liver issues and heart issues and took a lot of medication for his health. And a side note, Hoedel says in the book that if Elvis had never taken one drug he would have still died in his forties, and he was 42 at his death. The bloated look he developed was not from food, it was from his liver shutting down. His skin was white and pasty, also a sign of liver and heart problems. He often had asthma, and breathing problems. He told many personal friends he would die in his forties. He secretly knew he didn't have long. the great 40's singer Bing Crosby remarked after Elvis died, "I couldn't believe the news about Elvis' death, he was still so young, but they say when they opened him up, he had the internal organs of an 80 year old man. I respect Elvis for continuing on, because he didn't want to disappoint his fans. He was a kind and giving man. He almost gave away more than he made. You don't know much about young girls, I was 12 when I first saw him on the Sullivan show in 1956, I fell so in love with him. There was nothing beyond that but a crush that carries on to this day. I am now 80 and own every movie, record, and recording. He is a part of my life, I loved his beauty and his beautiful voice. My friends granddaughter who is 8 saw an Elvis movie and said, "I will Marry Elvis". Ha.. He was the whole package. He is what every woman wanted and every man wanted to be. @Guzman- To be fair. Elvis was taking presription drugs but they were very powerful Drugs. For example at one point in time he was taking Morphine. Just Pretend is one of my fav Elvis songs that he ever did. It shows how diverse an artists he was.
