- This house build with the decisions and time it consumes along the way has definitely been one of the most stressful things I've ever done. This last Tuesday we had to run around Oklahoma to pick out some stuff for out home. I decided to bring the camera along for the ride. This is definitely a little different style of video. yeah he's the kind of guy I'd want as a close friend too. Fun to be around but serious about the important stuff and doesn't mix words. And if ya needed help he's the one who would come running. Like the song says, he's the one who'd drop everything, hit the gas, get there fast and never worry about what's in it for him, or it's way too hard, he just shows on up with a big ol' heart.

It's a small thing, but I really, REALLY appreciate how you are aware of how not everyone comes across the recording as loud as you do. You either try to move closer, or you add subtitles. There's a few channels I stopped following on the regular because of this. Thank you!

I been feeling your distress as I went thru similar life altering stress when I was 29 & wife 25. We in 50’s now. Lol. I grew up in single wide in trailer park. Had big goals and big work ethic. Bit off big (for me) real estate transaction and turned out to have many issues & problems until it finally got finalized. I basically had a nervous breakdown and was out of commission for a little while. Lol 😨🤯 you’ll be fine. Every day is a new day. ☀️ pray and breathe man. I enjoy your vids. 😎

Happy birthday! I did a custom house once and you will probably never want to do it again. You will definitely not be 100% satisfied with the finished result but it will be really cool living in the new house until the appliances start to fail, the windows start to leak, you find bats in the attic, etc. The hardest part will be keeping up with the repairs and making the mortgage. You are right not to get into to much debt. Remember to save for a "rainy day" because there is one thing that you can count on. It will rain.
I really enjoyed the "recycled " video, it's cool to see a project recap all in 1 video, keep up the great work. Also showing the family in vids is great too, at the end of the day that's why we all do what we do, is for family. Respect to you
Puddin, you are certainly blessed by the Good Lord, having a bevy of Girls (wifey included) that have been raised up so well to put up with you and the 'small' house conditions. I can't think of a more deserving Family than yours. keep up the good work.

So glad your are getting this new house. You have really worked hard for this. As an old married man I finally figured out that when my wife and I are picking out things for the house, unless I really hate it, the answer is yes. We spent way too much time just picking out a bed spread. It was then that I realized two things. It wasn't worth all the time and disagreement just to choose that one thing, and, I realized it was more important to make my wife happy than it is for me get the perfect thing I wanted for the house. Outside the house in my space is a different story.
We tried buying counter tops during Covid. Ended up pouring concrete counter tops ourself. They are awesome and it was a great bonding experience.
Went in shopping for the house and left with knobs for Mr Mercer lol
Also these family vlogs are super fun and entertaining. You should do more of them on trips like this! I understand you respect your privacy, but small simple ones like these are such a cool behind the scenes feature. All this success couldnt come to anyone more deserving man. You guys deserve it.
Puddin!! I did granite countertops for 10 years. That Leather finish Steel Grey is a good stone, very durable. So excited for you guys and your new house. Been watching you for years and just so glad you guys are able to do this for yourselves and the family. 🙌🏼
Those handles with the overhang are going to drive you bonkers - we have those in our kitchen and the number of times I have torn a pocket or a sleeve when that overhang catches the material as I walk past is making me want to get new handles. You will know what I'm talking about before too long, I guarantee it!

I'm glad you like that sign with the little Indian on it. I used to work as a shop supervisor maintaining and repairing the looms they made their woven carpets with. I was with them 10 years and they were a great crowd to work for and gave this beat down 100% disabled veteran one heck of a lot of latitude. I've managed a lot of crews (including 13 years in the Air Force) and the guys I worked with were the best. My mentor there built 54 years at that plant before he retired. All the people there were good, friendly folk. I only had one supervisor that was an ultimate jerk but we came to an understanding one morning.
The next time you fly somewhere look down at the carpet. We made the carpet at the plant I worked at. Support that little Indian if you can afford him. It's the best you can buy in my opinion.

About 17 years ago I had a garage fire that forced me to rebuild the entire interior of my house. It took about 7 months and I had to meet with the contractor so many times to keep going over every detail from colors to door knobs and appliances. And since mine wasn't a new leisurely paced build and had to be completed ASAP it made it that much more stressful. And one of my friends is finally peeling off the wall paper after removing the popcorn ceiling from his house he inherited from his mom when she passed. Theirs did last all the way from the 70's. It’s nice to see the behind the scenes of puddins crazy life. If you want to have a kinda easy week with your family people have to understand that. You can’t always go full on buck nasty every single day of your life you have to have some kinda down time to collect your thoughts so your able to stay focused. Keep up the great job always look forward to the Monday and the mid week videos.

Ditching the Wallpaper was a good choice. Paint the house with paint that you can clean with soap and water. We did that, and it still looks good after 20+ years.

anybody renovating for future resale, heres a lil tip, stay in a as new as possible construction chain hotel (Hilton, Marriot ect...) their choices for cabinetry paint, furnishings ect.... it designed by very well-paid teams of experts to look as good as possible for as long as possible. you'd be surprised how often you're in a hotel that looks Modern or remodelled but is actually 10+ years old.
The cross eyed children line had me rolling with laughter. Really. Then I had the thought that all they're eyes would be puffed up and squinty so you wouldn't know if they were crossed. Of course I'm teasing. Great vid, not leaving out all the relief support you've given. Both local and worldwide we all love the puddin.
